121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hold or sell and buy back lower on: June 05, 2018, 02:48:17 AM
It really seems to me to choose the right strategy and stick to it. Do not give in to the spontaneous desire to buy when rising and selling when falling.
I agree with this, we need to stick with a strategy, there are many people that begin with the right strategy and then they decide that they want more profits or that this is taking simply too long and they decide to become traders when they do not have the knowledge or the experience to do it, we have seen many example of this in the forum of people that held for sometime and then they got rid of their coins.
122  Economy / Economics / Re: Will countries or central banks create their own cryptocurrency? on: June 02, 2018, 02:45:50 AM

A few countries and central banks have been talking about “digital currency”, and most of them are carefully ignoring the term “crypto”. Fact is- digital currency is not the same as cryptocurrency. These countries/central banks are recognizing the benefits of the digital currency features of cryptocurrency, but they don’t want any of the decentralized uncertainties that come with blockchain-based currencies.
Will countries or central banks create their own cryptocurrency?

They will eventually do something like that but no one will care after all if you are using fiat why would you like to hold a cryptocurrency issued by your governments, it does not make a lot of sense if you ask me, and if you are holding cryptocurrencies why are you going to need to use such coins when you already have a product that is way better.
123  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin in developing countries on: June 02, 2018, 02:39:50 AM
I don't think economy is really the first concern of the government, I believe government is worried about losing control of  currency and only Bitcoin poses a major threat to that. I foresee countries developing their own digital currency in the future.
Monetary control is central to the economy if the governments lose control of that whether it is because of inflation or because of a competitor like bitcoin then they lose complete control of the economy, there are many examples of governments that printed too much currency and as a consequence the economies of their countries crashed as a result.
124  Economy / Speculation / Re: Right time to buy bitcoin "again" ??? on: June 02, 2018, 02:32:29 AM
Is there first if bitcoin Will incur rise? After a few weeks of downtrend, is this a good time to add investment to bitcoin?

It's right on the dip, or still There will be a second, third or even worse dip?

Give your opinion on this.
Thanks
You are concentrating too much in the short term variations in the price of bitcoin if we compare the current price of bitcoin with its all time high we can see a huge difference which means that it does not make too much difference to buy bitcoin at 7000 or 8000 at some point in the future bitcoin will reach its previous all time high again and you will not care that you are earning a few dollars less.
125  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may continue to move higher on: June 02, 2018, 02:11:28 AM
For sure, bitcoins will continue from the $8000 price to 12000 usd any time from now till august. I have faith that bitcoins is going to hit back at the 19000 usd price it was before 2017 came to an end.
I disagree with idea that bitcoin is going to touch its previous all time high before the year ends, I know that some people want to see that price again as soon as possible and I would like to see that too but that doesn't mean that I will let my desires blind me, we're probably not going to see that price until the next year or maybe we will need even more time.

Hmmm well you have point in your idea but we all know that bitcoin price are really unpredictable it always a chance to pump up again in the next few month, yes the price are continue to falling down and the chart price indicate a possibility to touch a $6k level but I believe it can recover faster just wait and continue to hold if you believe in bitcoin will shoot to the moon again.
Do not worry I will never stop holding my bitcoin I have a very strong faith in bitcoin and I'm not going to stop holding until bitcoin reaches my target price but even if I completely believe in bitcoin and an eventual recovery I do not believe the recovery will happen before the end of this year, for a huge growth like what we saw in the last year we will need a big update to bitcoin.
126  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy in your country on: June 02, 2018, 01:56:44 AM
i can't see your question but i will answer according to title
our economy is 'pure shit' . everything expensive and salary too low and the worst thing is it will take a long time to recover.
Except for first world countries most economies around the world are in a terrible shape, the governments are heavily indebted, they charge a lot of taxes and the application of the law is subject to corruption, so it is obvious that the situation in most countries around the world, the real question is what are you doing to improve your own situation since it is impossible to improve the conditions of everyone.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: KIN will be the MOST USED CRYPTO IN THE WORLD by the end of 2018! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ on: June 02, 2018, 12:44:45 AM
Currently there are roughly 6 million active crypto users in the space. KIN is about to be integrated into the well known chat app Kik very soon. Kik has over 300 million users of which 15 million are active daily. Once KIN is integrated into the app, it will become the most used cryptocurrency in the world.

Kin isn't just tied to the Kik app. It will will eventually be integrated into 1000's of digital apps increasing the amount of people using KIN to the 100's of millions...

Imagine the demand for a coin that's being used by 100's of millions when currently Bitcoin, the most valuable coin right now, only has 25 million total wallets (keeping in mind many of these are abandoned or the fact that people have multiple accounts).

Background

Kin was created by the billion dollar chat app company called Kik. It has a large team working on the project and also has a long list of business connections to help make everything possible.

One major connection is Fred Wilson who owns Union Square Ventures. USV was an early investor with Kik, but also with other large notable companies like Coinbase, SoundCloud, Stripe, and Twitter. Fred Wilson is on the board of Kik, and also on the board of Coinbase...

Tencent also invested $50,000,000 into Kik recently. Tencent owns WeChat if you aren't familiar and is one of the largest tech companies on the planet.

Kik was the first chat app to get mainstream adoption getting over 1,000,000 users in 15 days. At the time it was the fastest growing app ever. Kik was also the first platform to introduce chat bots. Kik has always been at the forefront of advancing technology and now has a goal to become the most used crypto currency in the world. Based on their track record, they definitely have a good shot.

Kik has been planning on entering the crypto space for quite some time. A couple years ago they ran a test with a non-crypto in app token called Kik Points. Here is a quote from their whitepaper on that topic, "The Kik Points experiment was successful, with an average volume of 300,000 transactions per day for its lifetime from 2014 through 2016, reaching 2.6 million transactions per day at the peak. On average, the monthly number of transactions was nearly three times that of the Bitcoin network.".

If Kik Points was a crypto, it would have been the most used crypto in the world. Since then, Kik has removed Kik Points and launched Kin. Kin is a crypto currency and will be implemented into the Kik app just like Kik points was. Thus, when the Kik integration happens (likely before 2018) Kin will become the most used crypto in the world. This is pretty amazing as unlike Kik Points, Kin is not just for the Kik app. Kin will be implemented into many different apps within the Kin ecosystem. So with the Kik integration alone it will become the most used crytpo in the world, then add together all the Kin usage within all of these other apps down the road, even apps larger than Kik, the usage will be unlike any coin around right now. This includes Bitcoin and Ethereum.

It seems you do not understand how this works, it does not matter how many potential users you have the issue is how many of those people are going to use that coin and I think the answer is that very few will use it, besides we have seen this attempt to try to make it seem that a coin can surpass bitcoin a hundred of times and it has not happened and once again it is not going to happen.
128  Economy / Economics / Re: Permanent portfolio: When you can't afford to lose money on: May 31, 2018, 04:27:14 AM
I just finished with reading this article:

"Dividing investment money into two categories:
-Money you cannot afford to lose.
-Money you can afford to lose.

This Harry Browne talks about traditional economy. He made me think about it and I replaced
that traditional with crypto-currencies. Money younot afford to lose should go to main coin`s,
with money you can afford to lose you can risk a bit more.

"Once each year, you rebalance the portfolio. If any part of the portfolio has dropped to less than 15%
or grown to over 35% of the total, then you reset all four segments to 25%."

This is something I didn`t try, but I see the point. In article he explains:
"Because this asset allocation is diversified, the entire portfolio performs well under most circumstances."
Can we claim the same for crypto-currencies? My opinion is yes.

Great article, I hope after reading it you will think the same. Some people already know`s a lot about this
kind of strategies, but as someone new I am still learning about many thing`s.

   My current portfolio is:
-60% in real-estates
-10% in banks and precious metals
-30% in crypto-currencies

Do you have any suggestions, comments or proposals how portfolio should look. What would be
a winning combination for the future?
I disagree a little with this, the only money that you should invest is the one that you can afford to lose, if you are investing money you cannot afford to lose you will suffer the consequences eventually, also even if you invest in very good projects with money you cannot afford to lose at some point the investments will go down like what happened with bitcoin a few months ago and the risk of panic selling at that point will be very high.
129  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will you stay in crypto if BTC does not recover? on: May 31, 2018, 04:14:20 AM
Hi,

Just wondering if you guys will stay in crypto (aka hold or sell your BTC holdings) if the price does not recover.

Lets say we are still around 6k-7k by December 2018 => Will you wait it out or give up and say "OK, we had a nice ride but we are not going up again"?

What about if in 2019 price is still hovering around 6k-7k and there is no sign of recovery to 10k+ (or even a new ATH)
I have decided to hold my coins for many years so even if the price of bitcoin did not moved up by that time I would not mind, that will be an indicator that a big movement will happen eventually and that you do not want to miss it and the only way to get all of those potential long term profits is to keep holding your coins, this happened already and it is possible it will happen again.
130  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to become a trader? on: May 31, 2018, 03:41:10 AM
Nothing difficult! If you are patient and have a wish to become a trader then you should set a goal and reach it thanks to your patience. Gain experience from experts and find out which steps they made to succeed in trading
You are completely mistaken if you think that this is not hard to become a trader, how many people in the forum have tried to become successful traders and have failed? No one knows the exact number but I would guess that the majority have failed, there are statistics that indicate that in the stock market 80% of the traders are long term losers and I do not have any reason to think cryptocurrencies will be any different.
131  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will The Price Of Bitcoin Increase Forever? on: May 31, 2018, 02:42:15 AM
It is impossible to determine whether the price of Bitcoin will grow forever. The price depends on many variables and there may be a lot of different things that will affect what happens to bitcoin.
By definition it is impossible that the price of bitcoin grow forever the amount of wealth in the world is finite and even if bitcoin became the only currency used it will not reach an infinite value and at some point it will stabilize, so people need to stop thinking about these kind of questions because a fast analysis will give you a very definite answer about the impossibility of such a thing.
132  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will you do with your Bitcoin in 2018? Will it become more valuable? on: May 31, 2018, 02:23:38 AM
we have the same decision to still hold our bitcoin until we see the price reach the highest price again like in December and we don't want to just make a small profit. we expect to make a big profit again in this year because bitcoin price drops too deep and this will make us sad but I am sure that we still have a hope that bitcoin price will get up again. I am sure that bitcoin will become more valuable from time to time and for the price, it will increase higher than we can expect.
I really do not think that we can take any decision other than to hold our bitcoin many are thinking in selling their bitcoin and becoming traders and try to recover their losses that way but those people are now only taking an higher risk not knowing at all if they will actually recover their money they lost due to the crash, when if they just held they will recover their money eventually.
133  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's suppose that Bitcoin became universal (used everywhere you go) on: May 29, 2018, 03:59:50 AM
Hi,
Let's suppose that Bitcoin became adopted everywhere such as paying bills with Bitcoin, getting salary with Bitcoin, shopping, restaurant etc...
How your country gonna survive if you only use Bitcoin in a daily basis? I mean a country cannot survive if individuals doesn't pay taxes, well with Bitcoin you don't pay any tax right?
How this gonna be possible? Please shed for me some light on this.
Thanks
There are only two possibilities, first that the scenario you are presenting never happens, after all no government can survive without taxes and the developers of bitcoin will never allow that in the code, the second scenario is that happens and governments will need to learn to exist without taxes, so governments will have to be very small compared to what we have now.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: bitcoin or ethereum ? on: May 29, 2018, 02:52:08 AM
this is exactly right time to buy bitcoin and ethereum. both are good to invest. The price of both coin is pretty enough. not too much high to buy.
When we are talking about both of those coins you cannot really go wrong, at some point one of the coins is going to out perform the other and you should only care about that if you are trying to get the most profits as fast as possible if you have the time and you are willing to invest for the long term then choosing the most productive coin between the two becomes irrelevant.
135  Economy / Economics / Re: Investment in Bitcoin vs Investment in Education? on: May 29, 2018, 02:38:00 AM
Invest in both I know it is hard to do both at the same time but if you really want to improve your life then you need to do both, education is very useful especially if you study something that is productive, however we cannot deny that cryptocurrencies give incredible opportunities we have seen examples of people under 18 years old earning fortunes thanks to it and you do not want to miss that.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you find good ICOs? on: May 29, 2018, 02:06:15 AM
I only check the forum alt. Coin section, read a lot of Whitepaper and depend on my gut for decision making
Sometimes people like to really complicate things and try to find icos all over the internet when this forum is the best source of information and if an ico wants to become successful almost with all security the developers are going to create an ANN thread in the forum, I have no idea how many icos have become successful without an ANN thread in the forum but I suppose there are not many examples of that.
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to invest in Crypto wisely and strategically on: May 29, 2018, 01:54:49 AM
regulations
That's why the basic rules are so important:

Do not invest more than you can afford to lose
Do not invest in short-term goals
Do not try to be a trader when you have children to raise and do work.
Do not flip over
Do not panic
Do not be a greedy idiot
All of the points are correct but the second and the third point are critical, some people like to make it seem as if they are financial geniuses that can use the markets as ATM and that is not going to happens a safer strategy is to just save as much money as you can and then hold a coin for a very long time and to not sell it until you really are ready to get out of the market.
138  Economy / Economics / Re: What would benefit bitcoin more? on: May 25, 2018, 05:10:56 AM
What do you think will benefit it?
Not a single one of the proposals that you are putting forward will help bitcoin that much, what will really help adoption of bitcoin is the passing of regulations that are bitcoin friendly, instead of regulations that are trying to punish those that hold cryptocurrencies and that are treating them as criminals, if that were to happen the adoption of bitcoin will grow exponentially.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hold or sell and buy back lower on: May 25, 2018, 04:43:21 AM
Few days ago I was like wake in my nightmare I've been holding my coins 3 months ago and without doing anything because all I know before is it's better to hold and hold but few days ago I was wake up in this nightmare those 3 months passed it's all wasted because I never increased my coins but only kept it, that was my bad. And today I am trying to trade and it is not easy but it's also difficult.
About 5% of traders on the market are successful at a long distance. It is very complex, intellectual, very nervous, exhausting work. When you get to a growing market, you might think that you are a very good trader. But as we saw, many traders lost a lot of money a couple of months ago. The market gave a slap to very many traders
The problem is that many traders may think that they are very good when in fact the market is doing all the work for them, this is what happened in the previous bull run, it is very easy to look like a genius when the market grows 20 times, but it is in the current market conditions were the true traders show their skills because they are able to earn money even in this difficult market.

I quite agree with you, trading cryptocurrencies has more finesse than trading traditional financial instruments and this can in many ways enhance durable factors of most cryptocurrency projects, especially in the long run.
Yes, there are many people that began trading and they earned money just because the market was in very favorable conditions, and now that the market has returned to a behavior that corresponds more with the normality they are losing everything that they earned because they were not responsible for those profits the market was, in fact they could have gotten better results by just holding their coins.
140  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest in BTC vs Invest in Real Estate? on: May 25, 2018, 04:14:32 AM
split it ,
Btc can categorized as new investment , and have good potential to up your money rapidly , but it depens on people demand
real estate have good future cz it was approved by everyone else
Very few people have the money to do both, you need to choose, you either invest in bitcoin or you invest in real estate, when bitcoin reached its all time high of 20000 in poor countries that is more than enough to buy a small house, so how do you expect people living in those countries to be able to buy both, that is simply impossible.
