122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚛️ [ANN] Bitcoin Atom - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Atomic Swap Powered ⚛️ on: March 19, 2018, 03:05:47 PM
I have opened numerous tickets with Yobit to apply BCA wallets as I want to withdraw the BCA I bought there to Coinomi, but without success. Did anyone get a reply from Yobit yet?
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing still worth in Crypto? on: March 16, 2018, 09:06:18 AM
Figure I get everyones opinion
i started in crypto back in October and been investing for the long term in many coins. and a major HODL in all of this
so i have confidence
even though, the market is so volatile and keeps going down.
i did buy at lows but with constant dips  i am not making $.

I have since diversed myself and investing in stock market for now
anyways
do you think crypto still worth investing in?
is it possible to still earn in the long term?

why or why not?

i am thinking yes but just questioning myself as things keep dipping.

thoughts?

Now it's worth it more than ever. Still new lucrative projects are doing ICOs and old ICOs are slowly releasing their products and platforms. Community is still growing
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What can you suggest to new investors in crypto? on: March 16, 2018, 09:05:25 AM
Hello, this is my first thread as OP. I've been a member of this forum for 7 months now. I have observed/read in this forum that many investors(usualy new to crypto) have been worried about their investments in crypto-market these past few weeks because bitcoin and altcoins prices are getting lower and lower. Some lost 50-90% of their investment and ask in this forum if they have to sell or hodl.

NOw I just curious know on   what are you general suggestion/recommendation to those investors?

PS.
I've been investing and trading stocks for a few years before, now I shift to crypto. Thus this kind of downtrend had no effect on me. But Still I want know all your different answers.
 Thank you.

to be patient and don't react emotionally on panic sales as it's what is hurting market right now. Just be patient and believe the projects you have decided to invest at first place
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market corrections are good on: March 15, 2018, 08:26:26 AM
The current market corrections are making a better investor, well weeding out the panicky investors that do not do their research. The hype balloon has been pretty deflated lately, making it easier to find legitimate projects to come to the surface. To top it off i don't have to read "when moon! when lambo!" every time i open discord or telegram. I think those are huge benefits.

yes the corrections are good but we already had the correction from 20k to 10k. This is just further speculation that is driving theprices down, I wouldn't even call it correction.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Low prices, are you excited about the situation? on: March 15, 2018, 08:23:56 AM
Prices are low and it is presenting a good opportunity ... are you excited about the situation? how do you exploit the retracement to your advantage?
Some investors are worried, but many of us are doing great business and will continue to do so in the coming days.
Which of the purchases of these days made you happier? did you do it on new products (new to you) or did you recover something that you missed in the past?
What are you keeping an eye on and hope to take during the next days?

yes this market drop is absolutely perfect opportunity to grab more tokens I like. I don't go for bitcoin but rather some projects that are shortly after ICO phase and will grow a lot (hopefully)
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will lose it's dominance this year on: March 15, 2018, 08:22:55 AM
ERC20 tokens are a pain in the ass.  When looking for new altcoins I would rather download a new blockchain/node than add another token.  Why is this?  because I have attempted to download the enormous Ether BChain and never can complete the final 250 to 300 blocks.  (I have read & tried many fixes...but it remains a pita).

If I feel this way, there are hundreds of thousands of others with same opinion.

In looking for Ethereum competitors, I found an article from Medium: ”2018 Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) Platform” It compared the six top cryptos for business.  The comparison was unbiased and provided clear comparisons.  Ethereum has peaked.  Looks like best competitors are XLM (Stellar) or ARDR (Ardor). In my opinion, I would bet on ARDR due to zero transaction cost and has a solution for blockchain bloat (big issue for me). the article can be found here -> https://medium.com/@dennis_z/2018-blockchain-as-a-service-baas-platform-review-part-i-a5483321dfb8

I don't think this will happen, not in 2018. If there is another competitor to overcome ethereum they still have miles to go as the community and platform is the most advanced in ethereum's case.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avatar: Can a Newbie wear one? on: March 13, 2018, 12:35:57 PM
I was confronted with a question of which I scarcely have no clue of what to say as an answer to the question.

Though I have seen some newbie doing signature bounties and recently saw two which offers newbie the opportunity to participate.

Now to my question, can newbies wear avatar? If yes,  how?

Nope. Not even Junior Members. I think you're eligible for avatar from member rank. Now it's getting quite difficult to raise your rank due to new merit system, which requires a lot of efforts/luck to get there
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people have no faith in ICO's? on: March 13, 2018, 12:34:20 PM
why would you claim the people have no trust in ICOs? Amounts raised by the ICOs are saying exactly otherwise. Your post is just another funny fud attempts for whatever reason...
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 0.01 BTC, what should I do with them ? on: March 13, 2018, 12:33:27 PM
Basically after some glorious trading, and mistakenly getting into pump with all of my BTC, this is what I got now.
xD
Guys... What do you think I should do with my 0.01 BTC?  Huh

Donate to charity? buy me beer and drink myself into oblivion?

You can still reinvested it in some promising ICO which can turn your investment luck and possibly will get you back on track. Don't give up, everyone has been there already Smiley
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FORBES: Stablecoins are the holy grail of cryptocurrencies on: March 13, 2018, 12:32:02 PM
«A “stable coin” is a cryptocurrency that is pegged to another stable asset, like gold or the U.S. dollar. It’s a currency that is global, but is not tied to a central bank and has low volatility. This allows for practical usage of using cryptocurrency like paying for things every single day.

Coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum and highly volatile. On any given day, it is common to see an increase to 10-20% or even a decrease. That makes using most cryptocurrencies for daily transactions inconvenient. Imagine paying $5 for your flat white (my coffee of choice) today and finding out tomorrow that it should have been $4. Price changes like that are shocking for a consumer. The adoption of stable coins will be be a catalyst to the new decentralized internet becoming mainstream.»

https://www.forbes.com/sites/shermanlee/2018/03/12/explaining-stable-coins-the-holy-grail-of-crytpocurrency/#171d177d4fc6

I see great use cases of stable coins, but I'm wondering what can be the business model behind them. As due to the stable prices and 1:1 reserves they can't earn on the project.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now Huobi has over taken Binance on: March 13, 2018, 12:30:30 PM
Interesting to see now Huobi is No1 exchange and Binance just behind it. It's a good time to invest in HT token which is still under $2.

when it comes to these chinese exchanges, it's very difficult to trust their trading volumes. I remember there have been always reports of them faking the volumes to look better
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest or bounty? on: March 13, 2018, 12:29:35 PM
Hello!

How do you prefer to get crypto? Do you invest or you prefer to join bounty?

Also, check out bounty and token sale campaign of this project https://ico.kickcity.io/
Interesting to know your opinion  Smiley

Your post seems like a kind of bad hidden ad. But I will reply anyway. I do invest and participate in bounty too as it's a good combination of efforts how to earn good stakes of chosen currencies
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you ❤️ crypto??? on: March 13, 2018, 12:28:32 PM
I love the way crypto can connect people from a different culture.
With crypto you don’t need bank account who needs al your private data.
Just make a wallet and you can receive payments from everyone in the world.

But my question is why do you love crypto?
Why are you interested?

because it's not controlled by third parties. It's really cool to have full control in your own hands. Whether it comes to payment or any other aspects of every day life, it's the future
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am so stressful with trading coins, I lost 13000$ on: March 07, 2018, 03:17:00 PM
I'm so stupid when attending crypto currency, who can help me to get money back? I also ask many traders who has experiences in this one, but I still lost money

don't you worry, it happens. Just be patient and make sure you invest only as much as you can really afford to lose. Then you won't be so stressed which will allow you to make better decisions.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is product important for a project? on: March 07, 2018, 03:16:03 PM
Guys, how do you think, is a ready-made product important for ICO project?

In my opinion, it is, because it can show investors that the team is ready to bring huge results and has future plans.

As an example - KickCity, event platform where each user is rewarded for event promotion. You can try it today. More information you can find here  https://medium.com/@kickcity_io/kickcity-public-beta-5aa66fafc5c7

it is really great if ICO already has working product or at least some prototype. That shows the team capability to deliver not only to speak and then disappear. I hope more and more projects will be approaching ICOs this way.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: No more facebook campaigns? on: March 07, 2018, 03:14:47 PM
I just saw that a bounty stopped their facebook bounty program and I read that they are stopping this program since facebook banned ICO advertisements. But I thought that individuals are free to post about the ICOs.

So someone please make clear that facebook totally banned ICO ads or not?

If yes means no more facebook campaigns right then what will be the effect on the ICO sale due to this kind of action.

I don't think it will affect bounty. The ban relates to the paid ads on facebook platform directly through their interface. I don't expect facebook to block shares and mentions by the regular users
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin making alts useless on: March 05, 2018, 09:26:50 AM
We probably have multiple alts that one could consider as better version of bitcoin but as you're noticing, bitcoin is gaining more popularity and a fast growth. The price is not a measure of a coin success so what I'm referring to here is the the number of ATMs, exchanges, stores, services, and people accepting it.

So even If we have some people using alts currently because they believe they are better then bitcoin (which may be true), bitcoin is evolving and the development is super active and exciting times are coming. I honestly believe that this make alts useless (say, by the end of the year), your thoughts?

not at all. Not all altcoins are competitors to bitcoin, majority of them are just trying to be helpful somewhere else, mainly for ICO money raising purposes these days.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum TO $400 AGAIN on: March 05, 2018, 09:24:54 AM
I read some news that Ethereum will get back to 400 dollars.

Do you think these rumors are real? I tend to think yes and I think this will happen soon.

To be well understood, I believe in Ethereum's potential (even though so far I have lost money investing in Ethereum, but I notice that it is still a good project and this will makes it to explode one day) and I still believe that by the end of 2018 it will have an increase of thousands of dollars, but at the same time I feel that it will drop much more than it is now before starting the growth again.

bullshit. if there is a currency that should grow during the next few years, it will be ethereum. Just check how many projects are using their blockchain and more are intending to do so
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Private ICO pool group on: March 05, 2018, 09:23:45 AM
Participating in public token sales is becoming more difficult. We have recently created a private pooling group where we will try to get the best deals in the earliest stage of the most promising projects.

We look for great projects before anyone buzzes about it. Some examples are TOMOCHAIN, DRAGON, NEBL, MATRIX and a bunch of infrastructure and protocol projects. Low cap and protocol projects are the best combination for high ROI.

We are looking for more people who do their research and want to get in such projects the earliest possible with the max discount possible. Please fill out this form if you're interested in joining our pool.

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSddDwgdAvI6pijxyPM_B2815ukj8WLYJTTvAKg7A4o-vH2Suw/viewform?usp=sf_link

good idea. Do you have some background of you guys which you can share to be sure it's worth to join your group. I'd consider it seeing the team is good and has experience.
