I wonder what will be left when they re-open? if they re-open.
Time for people to wake up and realise these centralised exchanges are just sitting ducks. You never know when they will be hit next.
Time for the decentralised exchanges to take over and people start to use those.

I used forkdelta and this decentralized exchange is the first exchange that earn me by selling my bounty rewards. Though for now it has no good marketcap volume but at least it is a decentralized exchange and a good one. However, I am thinking that either centralized or decentralized exchange could still be hacked especially if you will store your coins in the wallet. Both, centralized and decentralized exchanges can be hacked. So, having your funds on decentralized exchanges are not a guarantee for safety. Just remember when EtherDelta was hacked end of 2017. Exchanges do not use for storing our funds. |

What happened to cryptopia? Not working any more. Thank God I stopped trading in that exchange for a while now.
Looking for binance to launch their DEX in Feb 2019,will make the use of decentralized exchanges more.
On 14th of January Cryptopia suffered security breach which resulted in significant losses.When the staff identified it they put the exchange into maintenance. ( 19391 ETH - $2.438 152 was transfered from Cryptopia to unknown wallet ) I am also waiting Binance DEX to launch. |

When selecting the bounty campaigns I also look at the project team and the advisers.
In addition to that also look at their social media activities and telegram and bounty
group to check how they are responding to the community.

Just a matter of time before Ripple overtakes Ethereum for good, I mean for real with no coming back. I even think Ethereum will eventually die while Ripple will remain on the market. Just think how much money Eth holders have lost last 12 months, especially those who bought exactly 12 months ago  Have a friend who bought XRP77k for $3.3 twelve months ago and he is in trouble now. He invested even more later on on much lower price and now have a better weight average but still we can say that XRP lost X10 during the last year from it`s ATH , the same as ETH did. |

very soon as you predict. Bearish market could last for years like the previous one did.

I think that ICOs are more willing to pay in their own coins then in Fiat or USDT. Hunters are more involved into
a project to learn about even to invest into it if they find it a perspective one. Of course for hunters it would be
beneficial to be rewarded in USDT or ETH or BTC as they should not wait for listing and selling their rewards under
the ICO price ( dumping their coins). Some projects are already paying in ETH or BTC ( they are usually overloaded,
and not very profitable for hunters ).

Last year was not a successful one for ETH. It has lost a lot from the market share and from it`s value. The hard fork is
scheduled for mid January and it will be a transition from POW to POS. If it will be a successful upgrade it could
potentially boost ETH`s market value and make ETH to regain some of it`s glory from the past.

When the market started declining last year we thought that the bottom is is at $600 billion then at $500 billion
at 300, 200, 150 etc. We do not know where the bottom is, we can only hope that we are near to the bottom
and that the market will not further decrease below $100 billion.

I feel the market is done dropping, for the most part. It's corrected after the amazing bull run in 2017-18. A bottomed out bearish market is the best time to buy, imo. So in 2019 we should all be shopping for long hodls! I'm curious what other alts people are buying. I will be picking up ETH, ADX, XRP, WAVES, and either NEO or OMG. What will you be shopping for this year?

We are still in a bearish market and it is not realistic for ETH to return to $1k at this moment, but if the market
goes back to $800 billion and BTC to $18k then ETH will overpass it`s ATH at $1.4k
In crypto everything is possible and the situations can change very fast, hopefully into bullish.

Someone sent approximately $400k-$500k and they reversed the transaction, basically removed the transaction
from the blockchain and made double spending . Coinbase blocked all ETC activities until this situation is resolved.
And Yes, such malicious attack could happen to ETH as well but it would be much more difficult as there is 17x time
more hash power which is securing the ETH chain. (the mining algorithm is the same with ETC so it is worrying for ETH as well)

Bearish market situation makes it difficult for the projects to remain their ICO prices. Even good projects drop
their ICO price after listing. The reason for it is that some of the unpatient investors and hunters are
dumping their coins and the price is crashing.

Trading is a great opportunity to increase your number of coins during the bear market but this will not
insure automatically profitability. It can happen that you increase the number of your coins significantly
but in value you still remain in loss with your portfolio. In bear market sometimes it is more profitable to
short your coins instead of trading.

During the holidays we cannot expect too much from the market. After it the Chinese new Year
will happen and I do not expect trend change during the first quarter. Some pumps are possible
with the ETH development upgrade at mid January.

It was expected that ETH take back the position 2 on CMC. It was only matter of time. And as the date
for the development upgrades is closer ETH should increase the lead versus XRP. After a bad period for
ETH in 2018 it is time for it to moon and recover the glory.
