Any way to flash new bios from windows?

I think you'll might be missing a trick here.. Should be able to load the whole thing with Nvidia's, plus some! You just have to do it in the right order. load in numbers that wont trip the switch from x2, x4, x8, x16... This means you should load just x1 card per section, then x3 card, x7 cards.. So you don't swicth it's limits (if this section has x4 then that section limits to x8,x4,x2 or x1) once completed x3 cards in each section, the empty slots can be filled without limiting the others, because it can't limit to x2 with x3 in use) Something like that anyway Think CPU lanes too What u talking about? https://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1034921

hi, asus released a new bios update, has anyone tried it yet to see if it unlocks the extra slots for non-mining cards?
Official statement about this bios update are very clear, and they would probably say something about unlocking additional slots for non mining GPUs because that would be major change. Version 1006 2018/03/23 B250 MINING EXPERT BIOS 1006 - 1. Update CPU Microcode
- 2. Improve system security and stability
Doesnt seem so. Any way to update the bios through windows?

Maybe the update gives more hashrate?

Can you make an update that allows us to select what cards to switch to compute mode?
I would like to disable compute mode for gpu0 (internal gpu on cpu)

Can any one tell me for who use more than 8 card amd and use Windows what amd driver you using isit aug23 BLOCKCHAIN
I want know what driver can work with 13 card without hashrate Affected
I tested all the recent drivers on windows 10, for me blockchain driver is so far best. Here are reasons 1) For new drivers, you gotta change GPU workload to "compute" mode for each GPU. In case of rig crashes for some reason, all settings go back to default, time confusing process to change settings back 2) the main problem is the blue screen, new drivers are not stable and cause a lot of blue screen issues in my rig of 13 GPUs 3) new drivers break claymore temp and fan monitor, can't OC via claymore Compute mode only set once I have none bluescreen. Restart claymore to take effect. Using 18.3.2

That is so strange.
I had to restart one righ (using teamviewer). After startup the only gpus active is the 13 amd radeon 570. CPU GPU is not enabled or visible. Using teamviewer only gives me resolution of 640x480. And claymore autosetup gets messed up when the cpu gpu is missing.
In device manager Show - show hidden devices Intel HD graphics shows up. I open it and the message "This device is not connected to the computer (code 45)" is shown.

Ok, I stopped at the beginning...
Where I have to put the power on off switch/jumper ?, there is nothing written in the manual about that. are the third/fourth on the second row ?
Second question: I plugged one psu to the EATXPWR_A
I MUST PLUG ALL 3 AUXPWR_A1 and _A2_ and A3 even if I am not using more than 12 card or I have to leave the last one A3 empty ?
I think I put power on switch on pin 3 and 4 on from the left on first row. No. I havent connected a single molex to these auxpwr. PSU1 to EATXPWR A (GPU 1-7) PSU2 to EATPWR B (GPU 8-13)

Is it possible to edit bios settings in windows?
|
|
|
I have done that. If I start windows without display connected the onboard graphics seems to be disabled. Strange.

When overdriventool starts and applying oc settings it misses one card. The same with claymore

Hi. Since I havent received my hdmi dummy plugs yet I was wondering if there is a software that emulates that a display is connected? I am moving my rigs to a place without monitor (using remote software).
The mining software fucks up is there is no display connected.

I need a little help guys. I have one AMD card (will be adding more) to my 7 card Nidvia rig. I only want to use Claymore for the AMD card. This is my bat file, but it's still running all the cards. Can someone tell me what I need to do to tweak it?
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0 setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

Insert -di 0 into config.txt

@Claymore - Your auto DCRI settings can't seem to get my RX 550 4GB cards right... It picks 13-15 per card... However 9 is best in my particular case.
My 570īs varies between 6-10

Hi pals! What is the best amd driver for this version of claymore, what is your recommendation, kindly give me some of your thoughts.. Thanks
Running 18.2.1 on my rigs, not having any stability issues, others have reported 18.2.2 as working well also. I suspect any of the most recent drivers are fine as AMD have integrated the "block chain" optimised functionality into their drivers which is accessed by choosing "compute" instead of "graphics" in the settings so the latest drivers include the blockchain fix using compute feature? do you have a link to this? windows decides to install some amd drivers several times now and do not want to go the uninstall/install saga again if the latest drivers are good. Thx Yes they have since august. I'm using 18.3.1

UPDATE: I improved support for systems with a lot of GPUs ( > 8 ) and slow CPU: less CPU load, EthMan works fine now. I will release new version within a few days, also some other improvements will be included.
Glad to here about the fix. I didn't know a Core i3 6100 is a slow CPU. I guess we need Core i7 to with 12+ GPU's in Windows. Pentium g4560 on my 13 gpu systems is more than enough
