121  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: ForBitCoin.com, A Mirco Job Marketplace Pre-Launch on: June 17, 2011, 04:11:27 PM

You might have more success with raising money in several smaller financing rounds. For investors, trust would be higher, more data would be available and lower risk.

Thanks for the detailed response, you sound pretty sophisticated, what do you do in the real world?
122  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: freebitcoins.org BETA - Get Free Bitcoins, 20% Referral Bonus on: June 17, 2011, 04:06:26 PM
Only have one offer on the site. Bit disappointing, and I don't want to sign up for that one.  Sad

http://www.freebitcoins.org/195 if anyone is bored enough.

What country are you from? We'll be getting new advertisers daily, and the countries we go after depends on demand from the members.

There are a few people that I know of who had the idea to start a kickstarter for bitcoins - myself included =P  It's a great idea, and good for bitcoin.

FAQ
If I'm not in the USA will this work for me?
Most of our offers are for USA residents right now, but we're adding offers for all countries, check back daily to see new offers! Half of the team is based in Canada, so don't worry, international users are a high priority for us!

"Free" Bitcoins? Yeah right, where's the catch?
Advertisers are willing to pay money for eyeballs. Most of them just want to send you an email or text message about their service. These offers are absolutely free, and you will never be charged a penny for them. In fact, most of our offers have absolutely no cost, but we do have some offers where you have to buy trial subscriptions to Columia House or Netflix. These are optional, you don't have to do the paid ones - but you should because you get paid more bitcoin.

How do I get paid?
There's no minimum withdrawal amount, and you get paid to a mtgox.com account or your bitcoin wallet.

How much do I earn for referring?
You get 20% of whatever your referral earn. For example, if you refer 5 people who earn 10 bitcoins, you are going to earn 10 free bitcoins for referring them! (5 people X 10 bitcoins X 20%)

Am I going to get a virus, or spammed?
We recommend signing up to freebitcoins.org with your primary email address, because we will never spam you. We hate spam just as much as you.  However, some of our users reported receiving a lot of email after signing up for certain offers. All of the offers are CAN-SPAM compliant, but it may be a smart idea to use a secondary email address when completing the offers.

We only use advertising networks with high quality offers. There's a lot of scummy stuff on the internet, we are trying to avoid that junk. If you have a problem with any of the offers on the site, please email us at contact@freebitcoins.org and tell us why you think we should remove an offer.

Who are you, why should I trust that you won't scam me?
We've been in this industry for a long time. We've given away about $50,000 worth of cash and prizes to our users, we've raised over $100,000 for Canadian charities, and we raised money for Ron Paul's presidential run in 2008. We also run forbitcoin.com, where you can earn bitcoins through micro jobs.

Is this a ponzi scam?

No.

If you don't know, now you know, ninja.

Look What You Did For Bitcoin! A look at some of this weeks best completed jobs.

Brad from forbitcoin.com here again. Thanks to all 8000 of you who visited this week, all 439 of you who posted gigs, and all 0 of you who remembered my birthday =\  I'm kidding, my birthday was last year.

I wanted to update everyone here about the progress. Here's a quick look at some jobs that were completed this week.

BTCcoder has been helping people with their coding problems, how nice of him. http://bit.ly/jIoBXd
NeilDLR has been selling bitcoin market invites in a van down by the river. http://bit.ly/ioYpfG
Ecogex made a tastu logo for a new startup that lets you drink you bitcoins. http://bit.ly/iA9Dya

Gig Tip of the Week

The best way to get buyers for your gig is to go on the bitcoin forums, and the irc channels, and be a pimp. Promote your forbitcoin.com job url! Tell people what you will do for bitcoin.  Don't just put up a gig and forget about it like it's leftover pancake...you have to promote your gig!

Sell yourself like you have no self-respect, it works for K$sha!

Ladies & gentlement, he bitcoins are flowing, if you just put a little effort into promoting yourself, soon you'll be saying "All ur bitcoin r belong to me."

131  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Job up to 1 BTC for Website Banners! on: June 17, 2011, 08:12:58 AM
Are there no graphics designers who can make some animated gif banners for bitcoins?
132  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Make some easy bitcoin at forbitcoin.com with this job on: June 17, 2011, 08:07:23 AM
Hey guys, we're still willing to do this.  However here's the guidelines:

1) Make sure that you link your forum profile url in the gig description, otherwise we don't know if you have a high post count or not.

2) Make sure that you have more than 100 posts. Paying to get a mention in someone's signature who has less posts than I have fingers, is not worth any bitcoins.

3) Be reasonable =) 1 bitcoin for a forum signature is a little steep. Remember, this also benefits you! If we buy your gig, you can link to your forbitcoin.com job in your signature ... that means others will see your job and possibly pay to be in your signature as well!
133  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Sell Pizza, Acquire Bitcoin at forbitcoin.com on: June 17, 2011, 08:01:46 AM
are there no bitcoin entrepreneurs out there who are willing to earn bitcoins by ordering people pizza!?

We will work closely with you, close enough to touch pants.
134  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: Sell your stuff and services at ForBitcoin.com on: June 17, 2011, 06:58:46 AM
http://forbitcoin.com/Fun-Bizarre/366/send-you-3-grotesquely-hilarious-bitcoin-rape-cartoons Done!

Also, you may want to change it so that you can update your profile without adding a MtGox username, since not everyone has one!

awesome!

For now we can only use mtgox for payments because it's automatic processing...you can reg a mt gox account, get the bitcoins there, and send them to your personal wallet though =)
135  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: Bitcoin rings on: June 15, 2011, 04:48:11 AM
I love it, really cool!  We need more real world trade like this.

You should also put these rings up on forbitcoin.com (pm me if you want me to adjust the price, currently we only accept 0.1, 0.2, 0.5 and 1 bitcoin gigs, but I can manually put the price up for you).

Awesome work!
136  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: ANNOUNCEMENT: Spendbitcoins.com now automated on: June 15, 2011, 04:43:51 AM
Just a quick announcement to let everyone know there is no longer any waiting for a BTC amount and BTC address on spendbitcoins.com. Both are returned immediately on entering your USD, EURO, CAD, or L(UK) amount. Should improve the process immensely. More improvements to come!

Happy shopping!

Great idea! Looking forward to seeing what this idea evolves into!  Keep me posted.
137  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: Thousands of words are worth a picture [Fine Art for BTC] on: June 15, 2011, 04:41:43 AM
These are amazing, I really love them.

If you want to sell stuff like this at forbitcoin.com, send me a PM with the job URL and I will manaully adjust the bitcoin price to whatever you want, and feature your gig for a couple of days to get you some more buzz.

(we only sell things at up to 1 bitcoin there, but I will change it to whatever your price is that you prefer).

Excellent work!

140  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: Creating websites for you (accept Bitcoins) on: June 15, 2011, 04:28:29 AM
If you are worried about the safety of doing deals like this, please put your job up at forbitcoin.com! The buyer and seller will be guaranteed through escrow to receive what they each want.

We need more services like this to happen with bitcoin, great job offering your services for bitcoin.
