I'll accept your public apology here

Never be afraid about how stupid you are, its a free world. That's what happens when you try to match an IP from an email to a forum account when it's not your forum or IP logging.

You might want to look up how to treat your customers better as this is not the first time in his thread you've been called to task for your customer service skills (post #50 on page 3)

Now, how about those answers for a paying customers questions?Huh?

There were several orders placed on the 7th just like every other day. Send me an email to sales@advancedminers.com from one of them to confirm legitimacy. Then we'll take the necessary actions if that's true.

Otherwise, your just a Troll.

And everyone, customer or not, gets support via the website, not on a forum, this thread is meant for announcements only not support issues. We as a business have set up a support line, support chat, and respond to emails pretty quick, during normal business hours.

Confirmation sent as requested

It would have been quicker to answer the questions rather than try to track down where i supposedly reside and evade

Are we done with the afghan bs now?

123  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [115 Th] 50BTC.com - PPS|Stratum+Vardiff|Port 80|QIWI,Yandex,Mobile,WM... on: November 01, 2013, 01:40:04 AM
No any normal person would not be there mine, until they pay the debts of

So you would say, liquidate and not let them trade out (in business terms)? More an American type of logic... where as if they do have financial issues and they can trade out and everyone gets their btc... is that not a better option than them shutting down and all the users losing out, because some people just don't care?

Please do not be offended, I am not suggesting you are American, just it is that type of mentality that I see from them, an observation if you will...
I am not American. Grin
Unfortunately, my guess are that the pool will not be back to normal as long as they do not pay honestly earned coins. I do not want others Bitcoins - I want to get my back.
and more. Pool speed drops and drops - people do not believe what they write.
sorry for my english

OK, lets do a little business 101 here... (and some common sense)

If there was a theft of coins which appears likely, how would you suggest they pay them back to people who earned them (the members who effectively had their coins stolen by a third party that were held at 50btc)?
How do you think they make an income? with the percentages (in the form of commission) as you would figure out with basic understandings of most mining pool business models...

So if you keep the above in mind... how would you expect them to cover the outstanding balances with zero income? Unless you *ASSUME* they have other funds hidden somewhere.

You could see this as a company seeking bankruptcy protection whilst attempting to trade out of the bad situation so everyone would get paid eventually.

Finally here is how I can see it working, if they are honest (do we have any proof of any dishonesty? what happened last time there was an issue like this?) then they would need some form of income for new %s (as a commission) off the top of the hashed/mined coins from here on in, as you can not pay people with money you do not have unless you steal from someone else, which would be rather unethical to me and I would not trust a thief (remember they are claiming theft from them via one means or another, ie they claim to be a victim here also), I do not suspect that their motive is to steal (from past history and) as they are still functional (to a degree) and have not said (like abcpool.co - I know different story but I lost coins there too) that they would close up. To me it looks like they have intentions to trade through this, time will tell and you would be right to think it is a gamble to push hashes their way but in the same breath it may be the only way people will get paid out and for them to grow again. I also hope that if/when the get through this storm they show appreciation to those who stood by them and had faith in their commitment.

If they lost user's money, it should be paid out of previous profits they took in.  Just like any other pool that has had a theft/hack occur.  You either close the pool, or man up and take the loss.  If the pool keeps running and people are expected to just give up the coins they've lost as a result of 50BTC's failed security, this thread should be moved to the Scammer section instead.

standalone boards with oversized heatsinks for a demo?

Do you still believe you will be sending out the first units on Monday Nov 4?

That 20-25 day estimate is gone, even the 24-28 day estimate you gave a few days isn't going to happen (mid Sept till Nov 4 is more than 28 days, even early Oct (lets say the 5-7th) until Nov 8th is more than 28 days)

And thats IF you ship starting Monday.

Hey Miramyn.

I'm sorry, but we cannot sell Miners to customers from Afghanistan. I know your upset that we declined your request to ship to Afghanistan, but please don't trash this thread because of it. It's nothing personal.

We're a US based company and mostly ship to the US and Europe.

We have live chat and 1855 number you can call and check up if anything changes. thanks.

It's nothing personal, but you have no clue who I am. I am not in Afghanistan, try USA.

So nope, not upset, since I am not who you imagine me to be.

But once again, instead of answering ANY of my questions, you try to deflect, dodge and say I am trashing this thread.

How about you answer the questions and not worry about where I am from, since your reason for putting me off is no longer valid (I am not from Afghanistan as you seem to have conjured up from nowhere)

4 days from shipping, no cases?

standalone boards with oversized heatsinks for a demo?

How much QA/burnin/testing are you going to able to do before shipping these units out?

Do you still believe you will be sending out the first units on Monday Nov 4?

These will be complete kits right? Customers are not supposed to build them themselves as parts arrive over a few days?HuhHuh OH good, the boards are here, look the chips came today, oh goodie my case arrived, almost done now?)

Call our company, leave a message (yeah thats great) and we'll get back to you (what, after school is done?) How about being around during BUSINESS hours if you are trying to run a BUSINESS
.
Instead of posting the video link 3 times in a row, how about you address some of the issues raised in this thread?

BTC0.97+ in 24 hours? I assumed we'd never see that again. Shocked

Yeah that's a very pleasant surprise
130  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining Technology (AMT) on: October 31, 2013, 12:55:05 AM
We'll get our videos together Tomorrow or Wednesday at latest on the 128 and 192.

Also there will be a few other updates coming soon regarding the 28nm chip, methods of payment, things like that. We're most likely not going to work with Paypal anymore because they don't protect us as a Seller nor make our lives anything but ridiculous. We want to be protected as Seller just as much as you want to be protected as a buyer, and according to a few conversations we've had with paypal, our industry is simply not protected.

And live chat is on when we have a few minutes to breath, we can't always be there, its not a 24 hour service. Seriously though we should all thank Jim for going home at night and staying on live chat/handling rhetorical support requests when he can, while Marcy (his patient wife) watches the kids.

We promise to update you a few times over the next few weeks, and at least once a week from this point forward with relevant information.

- AMT

Communication DEFINITELY does not seem to be a strong point with you guys.

Where are the videos that were to be "Wednesday at the latest"?

Why so many reports about not being able to reach ANYONE at your company via phone, live chat or email?

C`mon guys, we want to be believe but you are NOT making it easy

134  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining Technology (AMT) on: October 29, 2013, 12:14:57 PM
So this means the 128 unit will have 3 boards instead of 2? And the 192 will need 5 boards to make its advertised hash rate?

What will that do to the power usage and requirements?
Do these units already come with sufficent power supplies to handle that number of boards AND leave room for expansion?

How much extra power will they draw now?
How much extra heat is generated?

What will those change do to the overall efficiency numbers of these units?

Hi there!

We keep on investigating the way the billing-software was hacked but vulnerability still can not be identified. That's why we’ve made a decision to rewrite billing software from scratch. We must admit that a significant amount of bitcoins was stolen during this attack. Currently our main goal is to restore pool's service as soon as possible.

During the pool's history there were lots of different attacks, including loss of 1170 bitcoins (TX1, TX2, TX3, TX4). 50BTC has covered all losses. Users were never affected.

At this moment we are working around the clock to restore the database and we need your assistance, because each user's case is handled individually, so please be patient.

We are expecting that in few weeks pool will get up and running with a new billing software and security system.

All users registered before October 18th will get a special conditions for mining on 50BTC.

In this difficult time for us, we are looking forward to your support and understanding.

Good point miner49er
If this had come in the first couple hours it would have been extremely re-assuring
A week after the fact with nothing but silence in between and a vague reference to weeks from now doesn't make up for the week of silence and pushing the store.

Let's hope they turn things around and the special conditions are worth something for the delay in payouts.

No offense intended, but that is the post we were all looking for at Hour 1 of this issue.

Have you asked for / received any input or assistance from any of the other major pool operators regarding the new software you are implementing?
