We are in the single elimination bracket stage in IEM Dallas 2023. Heroic and ENCE are the winners of the upper finals in their groups. There are going to be Astralis v MOUZ and G2 v FaZe matchups in the quarter-finals to determine the opponents of Heroic and ENCE. I think MOUZ can eliminate Astralis. Because we don't have the old Astralis anymore. They are quite vulnerable and MOUZ are a strong team to deal with them. G2 v FaZe is actually a matchup that is like a final series in a big tournament.
G2 have a pretty solid head-to-head history against them recently though. I feel like they will be one step ahead once again and win by a score like 2-1. I think the name of the grand final will be Heroic v G2 as well.
Looking forward to the G2 vs FaZe match. It's going to be an exciting showdown, and I have a feeling it might be much closer than the odds suggest. While G2 is definitely considered the favorite, I'll be rooting for FaZe. For the Astralis vs Mouz match, if Device can bring the same level of performance he displayed in the last two matches, Astralis should have the upper hand. He was an absolute beast in their game against ENCE, with a remarkable rating of 1.51 even though they ended up losing. That's some serious carrying right there. Hope his back doesn't hurt In any case, I'm confident that Heroic will secure their spot in the final, and they might even take home the title. Both Astralis and Mouz just don't seem to be on the same level as Heroic at the moment.

Apeks vs Monte right now is a 3 map match I'd guess. They both did great in the major and are literally ranked next to each other. Yup very close one. The third map even went into double overtime. I hope that Apeks can take down Spirit Academy in the grand final, even with the 0-1 handicap. They should learn from their earlier loss. They deserve that EPL spot after that major performance.

Thanks for organizing this incredible BSFL first season Cro2 team! I'll be happy to continue participating in season 2, whether it's in Div2 or even making my way up to Div1 (let's see how it goes). Confirmed my address in the spreadsheet and submitted my answer for the promotion decider. I'm not going to miss it this time. i have a really bad last run , and i cant secure my promotion to division one, but i was lucky enought to have another chance to redeem me.
Good luck darxioami, may the best team win

Very big surprise considering all the big names, it feels like people are distracted or off their best game for many reasons. I'm watching GL do very well vs Heroic right now on the first map and leading for large patches of the game however Heroic could take both maps without a push to stop them. I didnt want to bet on Heroic on poor odds considering the challenge to them is real, so I bet 3 maps. Im not sure I will bet the Vitality game later as the odds are quite low even for a precise score prediction, watching it for the grand final might be more important.
Another upset. GamerLegion beat Heroic 2-1. The first two maps were close but Heroic didn't show up at all on the third map. Vitality should be near now to a win in their own country surely, its about time though its not a French team as such its their closest shot in awhile. Facing GamerLegion in the grand final with the home crowd fully supporting them, it's hard to see Vitality losing this one. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it's not even a close game. My prediction is another dominant 2-0 victory for Vitality in this match.

That was a close ending for me and dbshck, but i'm lucky to hit the Bayern vs Leipzig question to secure the win for the final round and lock in seventh place. Congratulations on winning the round! Unfortunately, I forgot to submit my answer in time for this round. (Big thanks to cryptofrka for reminding me!) Now I'm anxiously waiting for the recap. The 5th place in Div2 will participate in the promotion decider match, right?

You got a nice arb airdrops. Honestly I am aiming for the zksync hopefully those sybil got caught. They are eating too much alloc for legit users.
I wasn't expecting the airdrop at all, eligible because I was trading some meme shitcoin back in 2020/2021 in Arbitrum. Funny how that worked out 1K USD for joining Discord and trying out testnet was surely nice too. What activity are you doing in zkSync now? I think using Arbitrum eligibility criteria, e.g. bridging, making regular trx with decent volume, could be a good benchmark. there are also many other projects that say this has great potential although it is still difficult to predict when it will provide the airdrop.
Yeah we're probably still months or even years away from zkSync airdrop. What other projects are you looking at? Tbh there are so many upcoming L1/L2 projects now I can't keep up anymore. Also not sure how these upcoming chains will gain any traction and usage, especially if they don't have any competitive advantage compared to existing popular chains.

Mine was just the Arbitrum, got over 2K ARB tokens. I think most people are now focusing on Layer Zero, zkSync, and Starknet. Not sure how significant the airdrop will be considering there's probably already millions of addresses from people sybilling Some say airdrops retroactive arent profitable. Maybe for some its a waste of time but for others thats plenty of money already and could been helpful to their financial status in life. Im giving of my airdrops receive so far and hoping to gain with other protocols too. Can you share yours?
*Arbitrum 1500 tokens (free) *Sui Network 1500 tokens ($45)
I'll update the thread for the next drops that I would receive from doing testnet and retroactive tasks.
What activity made you qualify for Sui sale? I wasn't following Sui at all. 45$ dollars airdrop reward in the token
Earning $45 from airdrop
$45 is the cost of acquiring 1500 SUI tokens I believe, which is worth about $1.6K now

The big surprise was rather to see Apeks and GamerLegion to reach the Semis. Monte played so badly yesterday I can't believe NaVi lost to them. For most Monte players it was their first time on a big stage and without a coach behind them, I think it affect their performance. The first match will be Heroic vs GamerLegion and should be won easily by Heroic, they won all the matches this tournament and should have no issue reaching the Grand Final. The same goes for the Vitality vs Apeks match, Vitality won all their matches and is the much stronger team. I am sure we are going to see a remake of the IEM Rio Finals with Heroic facing Vitality. Which is going to be an exciting match that will be quite close, but I think that Vitality is going to prevail a second time over Heroic and remain #1 team in CSGO.
Betting 2-0 for both semifinal matches. Although Apeks look really strong again Liquid yesterday and they came prepared, Jkaem stated they were anti-stratting Liquid. But Vitality in their home arena with the crowd should be unbeatable. This is their major to win.

The other teams that I think will make the round are Heroic,Vitality,G2,Fnatic,Faze,Furia and Ence.
G2, FaZe, and Furia are on 0-2 elimination matches today. RIP our Pick'ems FaZe and G2 looking really weak, getting sent down to 0-2 by arguably the weakest teams, i.e. BNE and ITB. To be fair it was a BO1, but still disappointing regardless. Hopefully, we can see their better form in the BO3 matches today. Navi is also not in their prime yesterday, getting schooled by Liquid in CT side inferno 14-1. Something is wrong and S1mple missing easy shots didn't help. The only strong contenders for the title now are Heroic and Vitality. Betting on them to get that 3-0 wins.

The last major of CS:GO started yesterday and continues today. The teams that made 3/3 were G2 and Ence.I am not surprised by the results of both teams.Especially for N1ko, it is the last chance and he will want to win this major. The first team to be eliminated from the tournament was a team I would never have guessed.Mouz was eliminated from the tournament as a result of the defeats he received.I think the fact that they said goodbye to the last CS:GO major so early shows how bad the roster is. Mouz played tough opponents in their first 2 matches but could have won the match in the last decider.GamerLegion was their opponent but they managed to lose to them as well.
FaZe and G2 made it to the legends stage, that's the top team secured. Disappointed with how Mouz played as well as I put them in my in-game Pick'em . They really didn't show up in that tournament. To be fair their opponents (NIP, GL, OG) weren't the easiest ones in the group but prime Mouz should be able to beat one of those teams. Three spots left. My money is on Liquid, Monte, and Forze. I really need Liquid and Forze to go through to save my in-game Pick'em, gotta get the diamond coin for the last major.

The semi-final pairs are the following:
Match 29 : Pulsar77 vs vd309 Match 30 : Harkorede vs mitchr4
That's it I'm out of the cup, congrats Pulsar77! Good luck in the semis. I know from top of my head 3 teams that I expect will make it, just need to pick that 4th one. We will discuss it more after the deadline passes. Same for the tennis question.
Right, for me it's just the two teams though, had to guess who'll take the other two:D

What are smart contracts? Smart contracts are contracts that are validated and executed on the blockchain. In other words, smart contracts are immutable computer programs that run deterministically in the context of an Ethereum Virtual Machine, in our case, as part of the Polygon decentralized network protocol. For sports betting, these contracts define the betting event, payout terms, game start date, and settlement results. How do you create and settle sport betting events in a decentralized manner? Is there a decentralized oracle to facilitate this process? Excited to see another project trying to solve this. As of now, I don't think there is a market leader in this niche, I hope you guys can build it right!

Is anyone following the Brazy Party 2023 CS:GO tournament? It's not a tier 1 event, but it's entertaining enough to pass the time as we wait for the major. Several top 20 teams are participating, including Astralis, BIG, C9, and ENCE. Today, the opening matches for groups C and D are Astralis vs. GL and C9 vs. Sprout, respectively. Based on their performance in IEM Rio last week, Cloud9 should easily breeze past Sprout, but the odds for them are so low that it's probably not worth betting.
On the other hand, the Astralis vs. GL match should be a closer contest. The odds currently favor Astralis at 1.5, but I think GL has a solid chance to pull off an upset. I'll be placing a bet on them and hoping they bring their A-game against Astralis.

Anyone heard this news? What's your take on this? It's this the beginning of the downfall of the NFT market or can we say that it will still survived till the next bull run? OpenSea, one of the largest NFT marketplaces, has been hit particularly hard, with its valuation now facing a significant cut by one of its most prominent investors, Tiger Global. According to a recent report by The Information, Tiger Global, a $13 billion tech-focused venture fund, recently disclosed that its equity in OpenSea has dropped from $126.8 million to $30.2 million, representing a 76% drawdown. The firm became one of the largest investors in OpenSea when the NFT platform raised $300 million during a Series C round earlier last year. https://zycrypto.com/key-opensea-investor-cuts-platforms-valuation-by-75-as-global-nft-sales-plummet/For me though, I'm not surprised, we are still the bear market, although it seems that majority of the coins are bouncing back, I still one big reason for the sudden downfall of the NFT market is the obvious bearish trend. And that's how the market works as we all know it, sooner or later the hype will die down a bit, like the P2E model. So we will see if NFT can live or continue to exists till the next bull run. It will be the ultimate test for this market, in my opinion. They're buying the top It is obvious though considering the overall NFT volume has significantly decreased from its peak, which inevitably leads to a drop in the valuation of these marketplaces. I believe that NFTs are here to stay. When Bitcoin and other alts inevitably reach new ATH in the next couple of years, we'll likely see NFT volume rising as well. I agree with @Yogee; the real question is whether OpenSea will still be relevant by then. Are there real competitors to OpenSea?
Yeah, there are alternative platforms that offer unique selling points for Ethereum NFT marketplaces. Since February 2023, OpenSea has been dethroned as the top NFT marketplace on Ethereum. The top spot (by volume) is now held by Blur, which offers a rewards system in the form of their $BLUR tokens. However, such a reward system may not be sustainable in the long run, as we have seen with LooksRare. Meanwhile, on other blockchains like Solana, the landscape is entirely different. OpenSea doesn't have a presence there at all, with most of the market share being taken up by native marketplaces like MagicEden and Tensor.
