121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NEW Thread PMtoCoins.com Altcoin Exchange Added BAT on: February 27, 2014, 07:35:09 PM
First of all we thank everyone for patience! Now the long story short on why we were down for almost 2 days :

Site was going all fine, one of the guy added some XML into the pages to improve page visibility on search engines that created CSRF issue in which CSRF was rejecting all the cookies, we somehow fixed that and then came deposit issue in which people were able to generate deposit address and when they send the coins into that address the coins were not updating into database, we were clueless why it happened Huh We were planning to migrate server so we thought lets do it now; We did then came SSL error, fixed that and then came forks !!! so many forks we fixed them and then came trade engine issue gawd everything was so hectic that it took us almost 29 hours to manage everything. Most of the time the site was off people thought we ran away with the coins. But that is not happening for sure ! right now few markets are down but they will come up anytime we are on it.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RabbitCoin [RBBT] LAUNCHED - 2+ GHS / CryptoRush [Scrypt KGW] on: February 27, 2014, 07:27:54 PM
It seems like PMtoCoins just removed the Rabbitcoin in the exchange.   Roll Eyes

We did not removed but it is down at the moment it will be up anytime within an hour. We have been through very bad time in last 2 days. We apologize for the inconveniences it may have caused you.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Grumpycoin][GRUMP]★GrumpyCoin★V1.2★Kimoto's Well☆ 4 Exchanges☆ on: February 27, 2014, 07:16:18 PM
We are not running away with anyone's coins we had hard time these past days dealing with the issues. On the server there was two issues first was CSRF was rejecting cookies which was making it hard to trade and login and then deposit engine crashed we purchased new server instantly to provide painless service but that created even more pain both for us and you guys. However we are now fixed. Grumpycoin is off at the moment but it will be up in sometime. When it comes back and you do not see your funds in the account please let me know by sending a PM here or raising a ticket. https://pmtocoins.com

I'm trying to withdraw BTC, when I submit it shows the same withdraw screen as if I'd just loaded it. Balance hasn't changed.

I signed up yesterday, so far it's been a battle just to get funds in and do a trade, now I can't withdraw...

withdraw will be fixed in 5 minutes

Any ETA on deposits being re-enabled?

132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ★LiteBar★ [LTB] - Rare Coin - Now on THREE Exchanges!!! on: February 25, 2014, 06:06:14 AM
DO NOT SELL YOUR LTB for the BUY ORDERS on the exchanges,
especially CRYPTO-RUSH!

Those BUY ORDERS are from Investor who basically want to buy
a $100 BILL for ONLY $1 --- Would you sell a $100 BILL to someone for $1 Huh??

The exchanges are FULL of investors like that scamming to make a killing,
so beware!

Some are so dirty, they use 2 trade accounts:
1 to 'dump' coins for dust
then quickly buy them back with a 2nd account
to make the BUYS and SELLS really LOW to trick you into
thinking the market sucks, and you should sell LOW right away......
But its a nasty dirty trick!

also, keep in mind that JULY 2013 litecoin was worth $1.86
in 6 months it hit about $20.....

NEVER sell your coins when they first hit exchanges... or you will regret it later

have patience and let the exchange rate rise --- dont be so desperate to get some btc CHUMP-CHANGE! lOl

also, if you do sell, DO NOT TRY TO SELL LOWER THAN THE OTHER GUYS.....

those investors laugh and sit back while you miners "go to war" with each other in a competition
to see who can give away the most coins for "dust"

Ask for MORE when selling, or sell for the same as someone else instead!

Be smart when trading...  and have patience --- do not expect an instant quick trade or you will get screwed.

WHEN SELLING, ALWAYS ENTER A HIGH RATE!  DO NOT SELL FOR "DEFAULT" rate in the box!

DO NOT JUST ENTER THE QTY & PRESS SUBMIT !

BTW, I am holding on to the 2 LTB i just received, and will cherish them for a long time before
even thinking about exchanging them! Grin

While I agree with most of this logic. We all have to keep in mind that it's all a game between us as miners, and them as speculators. I have played both parts, I'm sure most of us have to a degree. As such, I know damn well that they are not going to randomly drop a ton of money on a coin (any coin) as long as they know that 75% of the coins are being held by the miners. Period. They are not going to "buy in" in any large way, only to have people with all the coins (in this case, the miners) dump on them. Certainly not at a premium price, they are going to need to "get it cheap" in their mind, to reduce the risk of loosing. At least some of the coins have to come out for the price to rise. Example:

You spoke of LTC jumping up in price... Do you remember what happened just prior to the huge insane price jump? The fact is LTC stayed for months and months at the $2-3 range, people were scared to buy in because the whales were holding 80% or so of the coins. In the day or two preceding that rise, most of the really big holders of LTC dumped a bunch of it onto the market. Fontas, Davidpate, Koolio, Simplyfun just to name a few that I KNOW of, all dumped LTC at about the same time (I sold off 600 I had been holding since april ...sigh). Suddenly hundreds of thousands of LTC's hit the market... BOOM! The price dumped hard... Then, it shot to the moon... as people were no longer scared to buy it (a big part of it China). Fact is, the price could not rise with all of them being held by a very few big holders.

Us as the miners currently holding all the coins, need to be aware of this, and let at least of few of the coins out into the market at a slightly lower rate. We cannot expect to just sit on 80% of the coins and dictate that people have to pay "our price". That is just not how the game works. The speculator's don't have to be the enemy, we need to let them make a dollar too.

I totally agree with you (y)

You posted exactly same thread on bitcoin.stackexchange.com I am confused that you used word Provably in the title on both sites are you intentionally writing provably or its copy paste job ? or is there a word provably which I am not aware of ?
134  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin auto deposits for my website on: February 24, 2014, 01:04:21 PM
Install rtorrent on your server and download bitcoin blockchain into the ~./bitcoin folder. You can find the torrent here http://sourceforge.net/projects/bitcoin/files/Bitcoin/blockchain/

Make sure you are not running out of hard disk because generally server providers make root partition of 20 or so GB which is not sufficient run df -h on the terminal to see how much disk is allocated to root folder
135  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: watch several addresses from a web page on: February 24, 2014, 01:00:06 PM
Blockchain has already done this Smiley.

Just kidding. But you can grab all the information from the blockchain using the coding languages.

People have already done such stuff, and in forums you can see top 100 balances, or top 500 balances of addresses.

I mean more like to look at any block chain e.g.  scrape bit info charts

Every website now a days provide API which you can use to create a watchlist you need to dig in to accomplish what you are looking for

139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ★LiteBar★ [LTB] - Rare Coin - Kimoto Active after Smooth Update! on: February 23, 2014, 06:32:59 PM
So if I understand you correctly. The order will go through at a given price that is entered, as long as there is a matching order on the other side. Regardless of there being higher/lower orders in front of it. Correct? In other words, they do not necessarily go through at the "best price available"?

It does not works on average price or best available price it matches the order
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ★LiteBar★ [LTB] - Rare Coin - Kimoto Active after Smooth Update! on: February 23, 2014, 06:18:30 PM
I wake up and good things have happened!

etoque got some coins back

Net Hashrate has doubled since yesterday

@TheCryptoRush has responded directly about LiteBar

Community is coming together nicely guys, and that is integral in a coin's success!  You guys are awesome, just keep pushing!

I do not know how many coins etoque has recovered because according to what me and br0ken decided we did not take further steps, waiting for him to respond you may send him a PM and ask

It is good to see everyone working together on this for etoque regardless. Class move IMO.

On another subject while you are here. I'm curious if you could give us/me an explanation about the jumping around price wise on LTB. Things like 0.00000099 orders happening while there are sitting buy orders that did not get filled WAY above it. How does that happen? I don't get it. Please explain it for me.

If you see here http://s12.postimg.org/736yvb7z1/ltborders.png

there was only one order for 99 satoshi/per coin which executed 5 coins this is because there was a buy order for same price and recently someone placed a sell order matching this price or vice-versa
