Ken when will shares go live?

Have you verified your shares yet?

What do you mean by "verified"?  Does Ken not know who owns shares in his company? What about "Ukyo's shares", of which Ken clearly claimed to know the ownership when he dumped them on the exchange where those shares, among others, are still trading?

They have to be verified and matched to the users CT account.

So are we expecting to reach 60th/s in the next day or so?

Soon, we have one part that was on backorder, holding us up.  We will have the part in on Friday morning.

Did that part show up?

Yes, they are being installed now.   That is way the hash rate is going down, due to the fact that we have to shutdown some machines when we install the part.

I understand that you are not a lawyer, no need to state the obvious.  Since we agree that Ken is not a co-plaintiff in this lawsuit, he is entitled to nothing if the plaintiff class wins.  The amount awarded in case of a win will be divided among the plaintiffs.  Of which Ken ain't one.
So...  What is Ken trying to say again?

It is a class action suite and VMC is in the class.
124  Economy / Securities / Re: [Active Mining] The UNofficial Active Mining Discussion Thread [UNmoderated] on: April 10, 2014, 08:51:29 PM
Why is there being no action taken to recover the alleged $250,000 + lost to MT GOX?

This is the class action lawsuit filed.
Here is the suit contact the court.
http://www.scribd.com/doc/209823896/Greene-v-MtGox (http://www.scribd.com/doc/209823896/Greene-v-MtGox)

Unless the Gox $250k was another lie?

and asking for it in court would be a felony?

If you knew anything about law, in particular class action suites you would know that if the suit is won then the court would direct MtGox to send all the class members the information needed to recover their funds.

Is there any info on refunds that weren't transferred to product? I've seen the user magzy on the forum talking about how much of a bad experience was had with VMC. Are there many refund requests? Negative feedback from customers hurts much worse when a company is new and trying to get a footing in the industry.

Yes, I understand about the negative feedback, we have explained in full what the problem has been with refunds.  We are getting ready to restart sending out refunds next week to customers that have requested one.

WOW guys another 20-odd Fast Hash One Prospector mining boards have gone - so almost 40 sold in the few days they have been up and known about. The sales are really taking off and with ONLY 160 left these little GEMS are not going to last long before they sell out.

As soon as we start getting more reviews in I predict a rush - nay a RIOT - of people trying to get their hands on these mining machines.

GET THEM WHILE YOU CAN PEOPLE Smiley Currently IN STOCK for >>>immediate shipping<<<

Though not for long!

Can we get confirmation from Ken that none of the sales are simply being sold to the datacenter?

Sales on the website are to our customers, not to AMC.

Edit:  Most of the sales on the website are to our Pre-Order customers at this point.

Looking good Ken, the datacentre has room for expansion, I like it.

By the way looks like Active Mining is watching Supernatural!! (in the liked/favorite videos for the account).

Will that be 30 cards per rack then?

Yes, we have room for 30 rev 2 cards per rack (~15 TH/s per rack) and enough power to run them.  We are only going to run 4 racks in this phase ( ~60 TH/s).

We are now into phase 2 of adding more electric for another 12 racks with a 150 KVA transformer.

No so, the bitcoins on MtGox were from our pre-order sales when bitcoins were used to pay for the order.

You're not refunding orders paid for in fiat because MtGox?

All of our prices are in fiat, so all refunds weather paid in fiat or btc are refunded in fiat.  Therefore, we needed to convert btc on MtGox to fiat to fund our refunds. So when we loss btc on MtGox it caused us to have to delay our refunds.  We will be starting to send out refunds next week.  We intend to refund 100% of our customers that want refunds.
131  Economy / Securities / Re: [Active Mining] The UNofficial Active Mining Discussion Thread [UNmoderated] on: April 09, 2014, 01:33:41 AM
I don't really understand how you can still be using Gox as an excuse for the refunds. First, it was pure incompetence to leave the coins on there. Second, this guy didn't even pay via coin.

The logical extension to that is that he converted the fiat to coins so he could gamble on higher exchange rates. Privatized gains and socialized losses. Heads ks wins, tails his customers lose.

Not so, the bitcoins on MtGox were from our pre-order sales when bitcoins were used to pay for the order.

What are our plans for bringing more miners online if we can't sell our stock.. We can't let this stock sit idle as I am sure you know it will be worth 30% less than what it is now in about 10 days. We need to be a mining company first that sells off our excess hardware or selling it at a price that it makes more sense to sell it then use it.. If it is more profitable to mine, then we should be mining with our hardware. Also, it might be a good idea to have a second date center for redundancy. Us sitting and waiting for a data center for 1 week makes our products 15% less profitable. People would kill to not lose 15% of their money in the stock market per week.

Yes, I understand all of these dynamics.  We have a plan in place and we are executing the plan. Just waiting on the air conditioning to be fixed, so we can bring more machines on line.  The machines are just sitting there ready to be turned on.  We are also in the process of an more electric, so we can increase the hash rate even more.

I found this while reading a BFL thread and wanted to share some thoughts.

So do you actually need a motherboard or host computer for this thing to work?

If so, that seems retarded.

Yes. Well considering you could put 6 of these together (assuming spacing with risers and your mobo supports) that's pretty nice. It allows you to scale well as well. But since these are never shipping, it doesn't matter Tongue

VMC is doing something like that as well. but you have to buy the board to hold the cards from them i believe.

http://virtualminingcorp.com/shop1/index.php?id_product=26&controller=product

I feel like it may be a good idea to clean up the site so people don't get drawn away from the available product. I would think all attention should be funneled to a product that is in stock and will build a reputation for VMC. A shopper may find it cumbersome to sort through the pre-order products to find something tangible to hold and judge VMC with.

Maybe I've lagged behind in terms of understanding where the company stands but there are still mentions of work with eASIC on the front page as well as the silver, gold, and platinum editions. I believe if I were a new, prospective buyer I would have a better time navigating if the home page had the prospector plastered in the center, alone. Further navigating through drop down menus, a newcomer would then be able to see future products that will/may be released (I don't really know what on the site is going to materialize and what isn't).

Having said this I think this falls behind A/C, refunds, and shipping products in terms of priorities.

Getting ready to clean up the site.  Just getting some of the logistics out of the way as far as shipping and customs, before we launch our advertising.

Ken, are you preconfigureing and wiring the miners so once we get the AC and power all up to spec all you will have to do is turn them on?

Yes, the team is getting everything ready to run.  The air conditioning parts came in today.

Hi Ken,

What's the deal with the hashrate drop over the past day?

To hot in the datacenter.  100+

could not handle 19kW of power? how small is your data center?  (I was running 4kW in a 1bdrm apartment with 2 windows half-open and it was comfortable temperatures (noisy of course))

what happens to the other 40TH of equipment that is in this 'phase'? and the 140TH more after that?

If you would read the thread before posting you would have seen that we are waiting for the air conditioning to be fixed.

Slaughter's own words quoted above illustrate the problem perfectly. He KNOWS he owes this guy a refund, he KNOWS how much he owes the guy, but he still d1cks around with the guy's money. Bfl, hashfast, and VMC all pull this crap. It takes seconds to get your funds to them, but when it comes to a legitimate and legally mandated refund there suddenly seems to be no effective way to transfer funds and dozens of bs excuses why refunds are delayed. Noone should be doing business with any of these scammy companies.

I have explained that the delay in refunds is due to our loss of bitcoins on MtGox.  We intend to refund 100% of the money we owe to customers.
138  Economy / Securities / Re: 19 Terra Hash on: April 07, 2014, 02:31:46 PM
As of 6:00 AM EST, Active Mining on the Eligius pool was mining at over 19 Terra Hash.

Several people have reported receiving delivery on Active Mining product.

Now, all we need is the ability to trade shares.

We could have more online; however, we are waiting on the air-conditioning to get fixed.

How many TH/s worth of machines are racked and wired awaiting the AC to be fired up? That should be fun to watch. Cheesy

Adding 5th/day (so far) - every days delay I hope we see 5TH spark up when the A/C is sorted :-)

Or just open the doors and windows...

No windows, but we are trying to get some air into the place, it is at 92 now.

Ken,

Still waiting for the

"·CG Miner Supported (VMC Compiled Available)"

If you have a version that is suited best for these units please give a download link.

Thanks!

Just use the hashfast version, it will be the same.  I am going to recompile it with our name, but the functions will be the same.
