Nothing to Do - Invested some more in Sterlings......
Waiting on my Sterlingcoin Limited Edition Cryptocard...
Nothing to Do - Voted in the nomination thread
Nothing to Do - Looking around on everything that have been done and written so far about Sterlingcoin.

You have already done some really nice difference with this coin in the otherwise quite suspect crypto-world.

124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Problem, connect Appdata on NAS on: August 21, 2014, 07:05:10 PM
I have a problem, connecting the wallet to my appdata-folder located on a NAS on the local network.

It all begun with the appdata folder went big. I moved this from "user/roaming" folder to another harddrive with the "shortcut-datadir" command. No problems there.

I have now moved the hard drive from my computer and included it in a NAS. I installed the latest wallet version and during the installation I was asked to point where to store the appdata. I added the pat to the NAS: example //NAS/Dogecoin/Appdata.

When starting the wallet I had 0 coins and here starts the problem. The wallet does not find my appdata folder...

I have tried to use the "shortcut-dirdata" command as -dirdata://NAS/Dogecoin/Appdata but this result in that the wallet creates a new appdata folder located in //NAS/Dogecoin/Appdata/NAS/Dogecoin/Appdata. I.e the wallet creates a new appdata beneath the location I pointed out.

Do you have any tips how to access the appdata through the network?

Thanks in advance.

so far ... i don't like the x11 algorithm .....

Said a former ASIC miner?

I love it, thinks it was the right way to go.

Sorry for spam:
I downloaded karma-WindowsQT-0.8.6.3.zip from the windows icon below the heading "Download your wallet now" in the OP!
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KARM] Karma /₭/ NEW! X11 + Time Warp + More (pg.140) SIDECHAIN+ (pg. 143) on: July 28, 2014, 10:48:02 PM
So I updated my wallet from v0.8.6.2.4-g000002-beta to v0.8.6.3-beta. The new wallet syncs without problem but it shows 0 coins. Why?

When opening the old wallet all my coins are still there.

The folder where the wallet.dat file changed name.
It as "Karmacoin" (C:\Users\YourUserName\Appdata\Roaming\Karmacoin).
Now it is "Karma" (C:\Users\YourUserName\Appdata\Roaming\Karma).

Backup your wallet with your old wallet (tho one that shows the coins).

Place the file with the old wallet (name should be "wallet.dat") inside the "Karma" folder, and start the new wallet.
After synchronization with the network all your coins will be in your new wallet.

Good luck!

if your new wallet does not have any coin and only old wallet does then follow this steps:

copy "wallet.dat" file from old wallet.
go to destination folder of the new wallet. should be /roaming/karma
pasta and overwrite the "wallet.dat" of /roaming/karma with the old wallet.dat of /roaming/karmacoin ( make sure your have no coin in the new wallet because this will delete this wallet data)
    run the wallet

if it doesn't start synching in few mins then hover over with your mouse and then click help - debug window - console
copy pasta these two nodes one by one and close the window
        addnode altcoin.dk:9432 add
        addnode altcoin.dk:9436 add

wait a few minutes. up to 20 mins
after full synch you can then send your coins to the new address

Thanks It worked!.

NOTE To ADMIN: I downloaded karma-WindowsQT-0.8.6.3.zip from the windows icon below the heading "Download your wallet now"!

Not Russian, but Swedish translator here that has found a big interest in Karm....

Unfortunately we don't have Cyrillic letters Smiley

Great! There is a Skandinavisk section in the forum and also as far as I know, Norway, Denmark and Sweden have mutually intelligible languages. So, please, when you have time, make the translation to swedish and then please pm easteagle13. 100 000 KARM will come to you. Thank you!

I hope oneoff didn`t resigned with the swedish translation of OP. No news from him until now. Embarrassed

BTW: News section is missing. Is it by mistake or..

Ops, I have missed the replay. Sorry p4r4m0un7
I'll post a message to easteagle13.

It's quite right that the Scandinavian languages are quite similar. Some grammar and words differ, but it is possible for a Danish and Norwegian to read/understand Swedish. Some travel agencies use a "Scandinavic language" which is a mix of these tree languages. But this is nothing I have practiced.

Guys,

X11 coins are loosing more and more profitability.
This might change any time soon, but scrypt mining is much more profitable at this very moment. .

I'm thinking about removing x11 algo and adding SHA256 coins instead, and target a new audience for mining SHA256 into SYNC. This will give probably a better buy power then x11.
X11 miners can easily join the scrypt part of the pool an still get there SYNC's

Please think out load your opinion on how to get more buy pressure out of the SYNC multipool!

Please dont drop the X11 port.

Love being able to mine, and play stuff like GW2.... can't do that with scrypt.

Not to mention it is so much less heat.

I have some equipment I would point at the SHA pool if you open it.

I would say http://xpool.ca/ is a quite good role model. I belie the awareness of Sync would be greater if all miners could get their little piece of the cake.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SYNC]X11|1,000 Coins| NiteSend| Sync Foundation | Stability Fund Blueprint on: July 18, 2014, 06:26:15 PM
What happen to the last nights payout from the multipool, I didn't even receive half the coins that it use to payout.

Did we hit a bad fork, or do we mine a lesser valued coin?

Sovie is correct, till yesterday we could buy around 0.27-0.32 BTC/SYNC on a full Shift.
With last shift (16+17 july) we purchased in the range of 0.48-0.70 BTC/SYNC

This is not bad in the end, since the whole purpose of multipool is to raise the exchange rate of SYNC.

The coins we purchased for you on avg Shift price around 0.60 are now worth already 0.90 BTC, so although you get less sync, they are worth much more.. Smiley

Guess so, but wasn't sure.

Nice to hear Smiley

What does the multipool message mean:

"XLB and dCom support will end after this shift, Choose another payout option asap!"

Should I care if I have payouts directly to my local wallet?
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][X11/X13] X11 (Darkcoin)/X13 (Marucoin) miner (based on sph-sgminer) on: June 23, 2014, 06:45:15 PM
Is there a command to automatically decrease the GPU workload, for example, when streaming a movie. I have some stuttering and a lot of artifacts while the SGminer is running. It would be excellent if the GPU workload was maximized only when the computer is idle. "GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT" does not seem to affect this.

This is what dynamic intensity is for. You can set this in the running miner by pressing G, I and D (in case of a single GPU) or G, I, 2, D for GPU #2. Alternatively, use "d" instead of the intensity number in your config.

IMHO, it's better to keep a fixed, high intensity otherwise, but you can set it to dynamic for the movie, and then back.

Thanks. It works good, I prefer some K/hash loss instead of activating/deactivating every time I'm doing something on my computer. Not mention when someone in my family want to stream something.

Let's see if it is stable...

I haven't compiled the .exe by my self, downloaded a build from this thread. But is clueless whether it is 32 or 64 bit.

I'm running Win 7, 64
7970 @ GPU clock: 1050 & GPU mem: 1580

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
sgminer --kernel x11mod -o stratum+tcp://x -u x -p x  -w 256 -I 15 -g 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 --temp-cutoff 85 --lookup-gap 2

How cool wouldn't be if Dogecoin could fly the Jamaica Bob Sleight Team to Sochi.

I can already hear them sing "Jamaica We have a Bob Sleight Team!"

I have donated my share, your turn.

I mined at http://usde.poolerino.com @ 700Mhash for approximately 6 hours and recived aproximately 2500 USDE. The pool seemed at least to be stable.

Is this legit?

If you are looking to split traffic up and/or have a fallback Team Coinye has been performing solidly for me as well from launch, plus it's 0% fees. They have miners in the hundreds too, so it's been a good option as well.

http://teamcoinye.com/index.php

(I AM NOT affiliated with them, just trying to give people options for pools I think are solid)

+1
I have had two workers that are steady digging at http://teamcoinye.com. app 650khash has resulted in app 5000 Coye every second hour. Which I believe is quite good. Or?
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.4 Released MANDATORY UPDATE on: January 06, 2014, 11:47:51 PM
It is extracted from what site ?

I think we need to improve the official site, there is no information about this coin, it is very important for communication.

Found it at: http://miners.pw/ (Observe this is not an advertisement! I'm mining at another pool)

And about the Tip Bot, it actually already exists one. (And I'm not its creator!)
