121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can we protect ourselves from scam? on: October 01, 2018, 06:21:28 PM
We should always ensure that our wallets are properly secure using all of the right security measures
Make sure that you are the only one that has access to your private keys, do not store them online where someone can get to them
Be sure of what you are clicking before you click onto any site and input your wallet information into it because there are a  lot of phishing sites out there
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Both Bitcoin and Ethereum are going to lose on: October 01, 2018, 06:02:56 PM
As some analytics say, both bitcoin and Ethereum have serious problems with their prices and trust of people. Recent survey shows that people tend to trust other cryptocurrencies more than two our kings. Is it the end of the world for them or just usual rainy days that are going to end quite soon? It would be great to find out all the reasons for such things, but it scares me a little, seems too complicated to be understood at once. I do not want to make everybody panic, just want to look at the facts clearly without all these "Ethereum and bitcoin can not die" and "how did you dare to even think about such stupid finish for those two great projects". I do not speak I'll about them and I do not want them to die, but really, let's face the truth - it will never happen or will? What are your arguments for and against this problem? Can 6ou leave all emotions behind and look at the problem from different and unusual for you angle for a while?

It is not the end for them, the two cryptos are so priced because people realize that they are valuable and their projects are valuable ones. Just because the market is in a bear right now does not mean that it is the end of the world for the coins. We have all been here before, bears are normal, they are the way that the market corrects itself everytime
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you manage your risks? on: September 30, 2018, 07:49:32 PM
I want to know how you relate the risks to profits?
What is the determining factor for you to sell or buy coins?
How many of you are trading short-term?
For me when I first started investing I noticed that when the time came it was hard for me to sell coins because I did not know the price that I wanted to sell the coins at but now what I do to make the whole process easier is once I buy the coins, at that moment I put a price on them that I want to sell the coins at. This helps to determine when to sell the coins.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep your head cool in front of fluctuation on: September 30, 2018, 07:40:13 PM
Better to keep a level head because you are less likely to fall for the panics if you are level headed. Maintaining your cool is the best if you want to be able to wait out whatever this might be with the market. Don't allow fear and panic get the better of you, just hold your coins and be patient, even this too shall pass and we shall be on to green
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Red Period but be Patient on: September 29, 2018, 01:08:55 PM
Patience really is the key in times like this, you look at the charts and everything is red and there is always the nagging feeling that makes you think that the market is never going to recover, this is where the waiting gets hard but if you are patient and you hold out till the next bull, then you are going to be very glad that you did
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can NEO compete ETH? on: September 29, 2018, 12:51:35 PM
NEO is gaining popularity gradually and seems to be growing consistently. Can NEO gets to a level close to that of ETH?
As good as neo is I don't think that the coin can be able to compete with ethereum. Ethereum has grown way too much and to heights that is going to be hard for the other coins to catch up to. Neo has a really good project, with really good prospects but ethereum has the upper hand in this one, and while they will both do well, eth will do better
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learning crypto in universities on: September 28, 2018, 10:26:21 PM
I think there is a point where it would have to be taught in universities especially to the students that are majoring in finance so that they can understand the industry,. I don't know how useful it would be for other students though for it to be taught in schools, I mean if they are interested they are just one click away from finding tons of information on it
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing decision on: September 28, 2018, 10:07:55 PM
Is current time good for buy more coin?
Normally, I will buy more when the price of coin is dropped. But with this situation of the market, I doubt the effectiveness of buying decision. Please give me an advise!
Now when the price is down is actually the time for you to start stocking up on coins. look at the market, look at the charts for the previous markets and then you will see that times like this are normal and it is the time when you should be buying up coins in wait for the next bull. That is the smartest play here, buy wait for bull and then sell
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency to be Taught in Schools? on: September 27, 2018, 01:16:28 PM
Maybe at some point we will start to see some kind of intro to cryptocurrencies to be taught in high schools and such but as with the finance market now we will be seeing the bulk of it being taught in colleges to students that are going into the finance field and that will be fine. But there will be a time where everyone will know about cryptocurrencies as they must have come across it at some point.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple or bitcoin on: September 27, 2018, 12:50:20 PM
Hypothetically speaking, if someone offers you $10,000 to hold in one coin, only condition is to hold it for 2 years, which coin would you choose to hold?

You can choose between only 2 coin, one is bitcoin and other one is ripple. What would you choose?

I would choose bitcoin. With that amount of money in bitcoin I have no doubt that I would be making a lot more money if I am holding the coin for two years. The best coins to hold are always the best coins in the market so along with bitcoin the next coin that I would choose to hold for the long term would be ethereum, undoubtedly the best altcoin in the market.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: One of the World’s Wealthiest Football Clubs is Launching a Cryptocurrency on: September 26, 2018, 11:33:38 AM
Not surprised, the more time passes the more people are starting to realize that cryptocurrencies are the future. This is really a great move and with such a club that has so many fans getting their fans engaged in cryptocurrencies, that means even more adoption and with more people coming in then the cryptos are going to get even more valuable. I hope their coin does well.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency is gradually spreading on: September 26, 2018, 11:20:58 AM
I think so many people are now getting to know about this great technology. Crypto is gradually being know by almost everyone. Some are beginning to know the importance of crypto. The challenge they may have is how to benefit from it.
Yes they are. With time even more people will come to realize how easy and good the blockchain technology is to their lives. Once there are more people in the market then you can be sure that cryptos will be more valuable than ever. The smart ones who are getting to know about it now will get in now and wait for the the next wave of investors which is what makes the coins bull
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why the Ether will drop to $ 60 on: September 25, 2018, 04:45:33 AM
I have to disagree with your assessment, yes the fact is that eth is doing badly right now but that does not mean that the price of the coin is going to end up dropping to $60. Even now the price has started to do better and it has started to move in line with bitcoin as it used to before. I think there is a massive recovery coming for eth.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What can you say about the low price of bitcoin and altcoins today? on: September 25, 2018, 04:24:10 AM
So many predictions around, so many reasons why bitcoin and altcoins price went so low from December 2017.

What do u think are the real reasons why?

There are many reasons that people can attribute to this, including people selling off their coins in large numbers and not enough people buying to keep up the pace. But simply the truth is that the market cannot remain in a bull forever, the price was bound to fall at some point and after the bull market comes the bear which is what we are experiencing now
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scams on: September 24, 2018, 04:40:29 AM
It could be possible that they are not scams and they are right, listing is a laborious thing to do especially when they do not have a strong community of supporters behind them. If they are working on getting listed then you should hold the coins and wait for the time that the coin gets listed, some of them might be scam coins but a lot of them are not.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long-term investment. on: September 24, 2018, 04:22:11 AM
How do you feel about long-term investment? Do you see the priorities in this? What do you think is the reason for this? Where to invest in your opinion?

I think that long term investment is the best especially for people like me who have other day jobs and are in cryptos to make retirement money and not money to live on in the present. With long term investment, I can buy a coin for very cheap and then wait for the price of the coin to go back up again, which would end up making a whole lot of profit.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wallets for altcoins on: September 23, 2018, 07:38:15 AM
What wallets should i use for altcoins? Bought some LTC not sure what's better

You might want to look into investing in a hardware wallet, that is your best bet right now I personally would recommend that you get a nano ledger, they don't support all of the coins but it does support a wide array of coins and your coins would be safer in there than in an online wallet which is very prone to hacking. Hardware wallets are the best way to go
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: can cryptocurrency succeed? on: September 22, 2018, 05:47:42 AM
Cryptocurrencies have proven that we Can transact anonymously without a centralized interference.
The Blockchain has proven that data can be stored in a decentralized public ledger against any form of manipulation.
Smart contracts has proven that two or more people can trust a system in which the assigned contract managing it will be fair to all parties...

When speed, simplicity and efficiency is added to all of this I think decentralization and blockchain technology can go far in the real world as regards adoption.

What do you think of the chances of cryptocurrencies to succeed?.

They can, so far everything that has happened has pointed to the fact that they can actually succeed. There have been times where everyone have thought that it was over, that this was it and that the coins were finally going to die out but they ended up going up higher. That alone should tell you that cryptocurrencies are here to stay.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH - 10K daily users and a $2.4B valuation. on: September 22, 2018, 05:33:24 AM
With numbers like this I am still shocked that the price of ethereum is doing as badly as it is now. Given the fact that ethereum is way younger than visa there is no need to be comparing them and I'm pretty sure that when visa was this young it could not boast of the numbers that eth has now, juts give it time and it will catch up with it
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: i am going insane on: September 21, 2018, 04:52:47 AM
You should be more willing to read little information at a time you are not a machine and there is only so much information that you can take at at time. Right now the only thing that you should be worried about is how to secure your coins and hold them for the long run, filling yourself with so much information can be bad for you
