First of all: The term "DApp" is dead. Please use "Blockchain App" or just "App". And I don't see that Lisk has to switch from JS to another coding language. Why? If you know what you are doing, you are "safe" as every coder is (no matter what language you are using), if not, better don't write an app. If you don't trust in a app developer, don't give him/her your money. That's it. Just to make it clear: If an app in the Apple store fails, because an app developer did mistakes when coding it, it has NO effect on Apple. I think we can say nearly the same for Lisk. But I am not a core dev and not a app dev, so it's just my view. Holding seems to be good at a moment, so will prefer to hold and sell some of them at halving and rest will save for the future as price will be even higher after next 5 years.
That is a great choice but if you ask me i will not just hold my coins for a long term investment, i will put them on trading to grow them up to 200% in just a couple of weeks or days depending on the trend of the coin that i choose. And i will just keep growing my coins until it is enough for me to build my own business so that i can earn more money aside from using bitcoin. It's just my opinion. I would sold 1/3, but mainly because to get the invested amount back, with the rest just hodling and a small portion for trading. |

They have found a flaw in Waves. In general, after what happened with the DAO, Polo is not adding anything under the sun so quickly. They are much more careful now. It's about security and image. Polo is just starting to become reputable and they don't want Waves dragging them down. Already so many people bashing Bittrex due to Waves... Polo doesn't want that. They also don't want any security problems. Besides they make enough money on Ethereum. Who needs Waves? I dont know why they havent added waves yet but polo is having lots of shitocins/altcoins there. Why in the world they wouldn't add new coins, they earn money when people trade, they get more volume. Waves got more money at ICO that probably all other altcoins combined (excluding top 3 let say) - you know how many people are waiting to trade? Thousands and they could all go to poloniex if they added waves. "Besides they make enough money on Ethereum." . what kind of thinking is this? Why would they turn down more money? Why even offer lots of other coins then? It makes no sense. I agree with what both of you are saying. Although Polo does host a lot of low volume coins, much of that is legacy. They don't add every coin under the sun anymore, this is a different Polo than what we remember around the time of their hack. I believe they are much more cautious. As for people bashing Bittrex, I've been very vocal about my feelings about that low liquidity exchange. I also don't agree with "besides they make enough money on Ethereum", you might as well be a charity at that point. They will take their time, run through all the proper security checks before adding anything additional. As a client, I'm happy they do that. Yes, i remember the time when polo had less volumes than bittrex, bittrex didn't list Monero in time, but polo did list monero very early, and polo took the 1st alt exchange place because of strong monero volume, and polo's ethereum made polo the most popular exchange, even surpassed bitfinex&btce&bitstamp big fiat exchanges. And now, if polo won't list waves, bittrex may revive again if waves becomes a top 3 coin, who knows. They are competitors, I don't think polo gives this good REVIVAL chance to bittrex. Polo must continue keeping the high market share in the crypto world. I think polo has to digest the dao debacle first. |

Launch date will be announced tomorrow night.
GUI and website will also come tomorrow ~noon in Europe/early morning US as there was a delay in some files that didn't arrive in time, and while we could technically launch both in about an hour or two it would make no sense as the majority of people are asleep/going into inactive mode.
In the meanwhile everyone should line up to help with documentation and PoCs which I have requested for months now, without it we won't get dev adoption and a handful of people can't do it all alone.

Account number must be a sequence of 35 alphanumeric characters with no spaces starting with '1W' Bittrex address starts with 3PXXXXXXXXXXXXXX... Go back a few pages, they said to add a "1W" to the 3PXXXX.... Bitrex deposit address. I can't yet confirm that, but quite a few have. Just send 2 WAVES as a test imo. Tried adding the 1W at the begining and i can confirm it works, just received my 10 waves on Bittrex It works. |

Nothing wrong with bittrex as ploniex will be next maybe you will find on 22nd June. Why do you even think that it will hit Poloniex? Why did Waves not directly go to Poloniex? Poloniex is 20 times bigger then Bittrex... Bittrex trading volume is as small as Yobit. Poloniex was a mess the last days. |

This thread is all becoming about the bounties, and then the exchanges. People are in a hurry to dump their coins. same old story but with a different coin. Is there anything new?
Well maybe. Sasha just wrote on Slack that users have pretty crappy seeds that they have assigned themselves. A half decent script-kiddie could just run a dictionary attack and scoop up a bunch of free waves, as the users apparently don't understand what they are doing. Imagine what this thread will look like when many users find out that all their invested ICO Wave tokens are gone with the wind because of having something like "mary had a little lamb" or their ico deposit address as their seed. How can sasha or anyone else know what seed do I have? Our seeds are visible for dev team? Is this a joke or something? Was the seed not auto generated? |
