This is for the last few repliers in the thread. If your wallet is stuck syncing or has 0 connections, you will need to re-sync fully anyway Download the latest Rubies wallet here: https://betterbets.io/app/content/wallet/Steps needed to resync:1) Close your wallet 2) locate your application support folders (In these locations) Windows:C:\Users\<<user name>>\AppData\Roaming\rubies Mac:/Users/<<user name>>/Library/Application Support/rubies Linux:/home/<<user name>>/.rubies 3) Make a backup of the wallet.dat file, store it somewhere safe 4) delete all the other files except wallet.dat and keep any rubies.conf files you may have created 5) Start the wallet and wait for it to re-sync, which might take about 20 mins Compare you results with the block explorer as that is correct to all the nodes. Did I done it right I have deleted every thing in my appdata except my wallet.dat but when I launch the wallet it start all over again used to be late by 8000 now it's 6 digits ,what do I need to fully sync my wallet i think you need fully synced bootstrap.dat. can someone post the download link here? Not yet, i'll create one and post it asap

My wallet at the moment only shows "two active connections" to rubies network but they usually are/were at least 10-11 connections.
I didn't make any change to may PC and wallet settings nor I ever created a conf. file because I never needed to.
Is it a general issue or it's just me? Do I need to create a conf. file or add nodes and stuff like that?
No, the network seems fine. just checked and our nodes have 30 - 40 connections on each. Maybe delete your peers.dat file and restart, this will refresh the connections... Steps to delete the peers.dat file:1) Close your wallet 2) locate your application support folders (In these locations) Windows:C:\Users\<<user name>>\AppData\Roaming\rubies Mac:/Users/<<user name>>/Library/Application Support/rubies Linux:/home/<<user name>>/.rubies 3) delete or rename the peers.dat file 4) make sure you dont accidentally delete the wallet.dat file!! 5) Start the wallet up again and wait for it to reconnect. Now check the block height with the explorers. The explorer refreshes completely every 2 minutes, so you may see a little difference in block heights.

Curious if once crytpsy updates wallet will the boost withdrawn before the upgrade finally show up in my wallet or are they lost?
Does anyone know how to recover these 10k lost BOST?
In theory if they update and those coins are in the wallet after they update and re-sync, then yes there is no reason why the coins can't be recovered. 'BUT' Ive sent many many requests via their support, directly to Vern through bitcointalk DM, through other methods and i never had any luck getting them to update. Every reply to the support calls i raised were completely irrelevant and just seemed to be automated. If anyone know whats happening over at Cryptsy, if they are coming back in some form or another, then it would be good to know... Thanks M

Yeah the only way you can loose your addresses is if your wallet.dat got deleted or damaged. And if they're 'Really' gone, they cannot be recovered.

Just a reminder to everyone.
If you have large balances in your wallets, e.g. if you are in the top 10 wallet balances on the explorer, can you avoid staking huge amounts of coins. The Staking weight is way up again and we want to avoid too much pressure coming for only a few wallets.
Thanks

I would like to add personal notes to transaction in which I have particular interest or may I write them down on a block notes embedded into rubies wallet for a future memory of actions I would like to rhave always available?
Is there already this feature or may you eventually consider adding something for this purpose?
Yes this would be useful feature, we'll add it the to future list of developments.

Question about staking. After each reward for staking a block, does your rubies need to wait another 12 hours to mature?
Yes the coins you are rewarded are 'New' and must mature before they can be put into stake Thats not my question. I started to stake sunday morning and niw my wallet says i dont have any mature coins to stake... I'm also curious to learn about how staking works. I've read a handful of articles about staking for other coins, and I understand the general concepts, but I have a few questions about the in-practice mechanics. - If I have 10,000 rubies sitting in an unlocked wallet, and get a staking reward, are all 10,000 + (staking reward) now locked from staking for 12 more hours, or just the staking reward amount? - No, when your 10,000 coins go into stake, The original 10,000 + your reward will need to have 110 confirmations or 110 blocks pass before they are spendable again. The network is designed to retarget every 2 minutes, so we get about 30 blocks per hour. 110 blocks will take about 3.7 hours to pass by. If you want to ensure that a certain amount of coins never get staked you can set a 'reserve' amount in the wallet options, or type reservebalance true << the amount of coins>> in the debug console- If all of my coins are locked for 12 hours, has anyone worked out the math behind optimal wallet splitting amounts? For example, will keeping 10,000 coins in one wallet end up generating more rubies after a month/year than 10 wallets with 1000 each in them? - No, the math is still the same, so long as the coin age for each of the smaller balances is the same. Coin age (or how long a TX has stayed in your wallet without being moved) is a major factor in staking.- Are there any rough estimates on staking profit over time? For example, if I put the 10,000 rubies in an unlocked wallet and don't open it for a month, around how much should I expect to make at the end of that month? - The coding is set to try and achieve a total 5% reward per year, but fluctuation in the network performance will see this figure fluctuate a little, and again age of the coins is an important factor. 10,000 coins at 5% per year will gain you 500 coins, divided by 12 is about 42 coins per month. Thanks to anyone who can shed some light on these for me. Answers above in red....
