121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin is more profitable? on: April 13, 2024, 05:46:23 PM
Just one bitcoin
Bitcoin is the most profitable crypto to all investors. Bitcoin is the first digital asset to hit the crypto market. In fact it was more profitable for its early investors.
Without any form of comparison Bitcoin is the best and has proven to be the best of all time, other coins performance depends on Bitcoin performance, Bitcoin is less risky, and it has a solid foundation, from invention it has shown lots of significant outstanding performance, those that invest at it earliest stage and has hold for long will tell more about the proven potentials it holds, with dca strategy you can invest with as little as you can after making provisions for you personal up keep, emergency, reserved and float funds which will accompany you in having a successful Bitcoin investment journey.
No wonder why you say "without any form of comparison" because if it is, then it will be hard for us to say that BTC is the best because other alts had some use cases that it doesn't have. This is the reason why they can rise on their own because they can get a different demand. Guess it's safe to say that they are also less risky but BTC had built a more solid foundation because it's more older than them. Nowadays, it's no secret anymore if what BTC can do because its past records are already written and documented which are freely available for public viewing. There are two ways to invest but indeed DCA, seems to be more flexible.
122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: April 13, 2024, 05:23:23 PM
Some time ago there were rumors that Xavi would not leave Barcelona, but it seems his decision remains firm to leave Barcelona and through Fabrizio Romano's upload we know this is valid news that cannot be doubted. Some time ago there was news that Joan Laporta would try his best to keep Xavi and some of us definitely believe that considering that Barcelona can only rely on Xavi with its current finances.

But from Xavi's side, it seems like he doesn't want to get into any more trouble and with such a huge burden of responsibility he certainly feels he is no longer able to handle this team. Barcelona's expectations were too high but they couldn't keep up with the hunt for good players in the transfer window and of course Xavi's request to bring in the players he wanted couldn't be fulfilled while coaching Barcelona.

However, on the other hand, Barcelona has players from the academy who are quite reliable, such as Lamine Yamal, Fermin Lopez or their new talented young defender, Pau Cubarsi. However, if Barcelona wants to compete next season, they have to buy above average players to complement the deficiencies in depth.
Since Barcelona management are unable to provide the players xavi needs,  there  is nothing he can do to make the team better than what it is. Their is no need for him to remain as coach,  he believes he can do better to win trophies  if only gets the best players and Barcelona can't afford it. I believe if xavi insists to be coach of Barcelona without buying more players to get the his desired squad it can affect him as a coach lead to more problem. Xaxi has done his best for Barcelona aleast winning laliga title is a good achievement.  I feel he is tired of working for Barcelona because he can't do more than his strength to give the club the best.

Barcelona should just look for a better coach that can continue from where xavi stops. Barcelona just need a need coach that will be capable of working with the current players the club has since the club is facing financial challenge.
Xavi has been a dream manager for Barcelona and they can't get anyone who would be as good as him. I can't see anyone who would do a better job, Xavi not wanting to stay there makes sense in a way, because of the financial issues they are having, it makes sense that he doesn't want to be manager of a team that can't make any decent transfers and unfortunately there is no clear future neither, not like you could say in 3 years all the debt will be gone or anything, they are doing even worse every year.

So, it is clear that we are talking about a situation that will not be fixed anytime soon, so Xavi wanting to leave for a team that has money would make sense. Think about it, there are so many teams with rich owners now, why not try to go to one of them.
123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler lost what he couldn't afford to lost and broke his TV after game Lost on: April 13, 2024, 02:35:10 PM
This is stupidity upon addiction. I can only imagine what was going through his mind when he threw such a big  amount into the casino. He should've thought better of the negative effect of his decision before engaging. I still cannot settle with the fact that some people are still very much one way minded when making decisions. Action and reaction are equal and opposite, this still applies to almost everything we do in life. His was only thinking about his action converting for him and never thought of the effect it could have on him upon losing. Now the reaction was more than his lost funds, he destroyed his television set in the process which led to a double loss.

I don't pity such people, he deserved what he got because it wasn't an accident, but an intentional act. I only hope he  learned his lessons
Addicted gamblers often lose the ability to think critically and make mindful decisions whether it's about making their bets or reacting after incurring losses. Just like this guy, they first make reckless gambling decisions and bets that they can't afford to lose, and then when they lose those bets, they rage and do things that make them lose more money or properties eventually which, as you said, makes it become a double loss for them.

This is the reason why one needs to be responsible with their gambling activities, and gambling isn't for people who don't have enough patience and control over their emotions because if he was patient, he wouldn't break his TV after the loss and that could at least save him some money.
124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: April 12, 2024, 05:15:55 PM
It's true what you say, indeed Arsenal this season they look good with their game and performance, although there are some matches that end with less than optimal results but I'm sure they've done their best. like when they faced West Ham, in the first leg they lost, but in the second leg they managed to turn things around very optimally in my opinion, and also when they faced United which ended in a draw it was not too bad either.

I myself believe more in City who will win the league this season. because indeed City also this season includes a team that is indeed very strong, even they can compensate for big teams like Real Madrid.
They do look better than last year to be fair, not that they looked bad last year and they almost won the title last year as well which means that they could have the same result of "almost won, but eventually lost" just like last year. However, even if that happens, we could say that they were even closer this season, they looked a lot better.

I personally believe that the best thing to do right now for them would be just ignoring the situation at hand, like not focus on how close they are, and look at every single game. If they keep focusing only game by game then they will do better but if they look at the standings then they may start to get worried, that's why they just need to take it game by game without worrying about the league table.
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling: Modern entertainment or highly addictive game? on: April 12, 2024, 04:28:03 PM
I almost got carried away the first time that I started gambling online, because of the varieties of games and I can gamble even on my bed, but I became very cautious of myself when I noticed a strange change in my attitude towards gambling. This was how I could control myself, so what I have to say is that online casino, can make someone get addicted easily compared to land based casinos.
Well, it's a double-edged sword where convenience comes with making it easier to form a gambling addiction. We are easily stimulated to try different games when we play online. This is very dangerous and it is difficult for us to control our behavior, it's like mindlessly watching Youtube or scrolling through Tiktok.
There are people who can get easily attached to what they are doing but some are not like that. Both online and offline gambling had different games to choose from but it's only optional to try the other after the first one. At first, trying them looks fun but we will realize later on that it is also money-consuming.

This is why I ended up sticking on one game. Forms are only easy to access but there are extra verifications that only people who are on legal age can answer. Ads that we see will also depend on our interests. If we are into gambling, we can see lots of gambling ads as well. As long as we don't use the device of our kids, I don't think they will get exposed to it.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your favorite crypto loan platform? on: April 12, 2024, 03:04:33 PM
If you are willing to get a loan keeping your assets as collateral than defi would be a better choice. Centralized platform for borrowing has mostly ended badly, in a scam or liquidation. DEFI at the moment, provides a great options if you are trying to get loan or trying to get good interest on your stablecoins.
If you are trying to take a loan for trading, you can just use loan platform inbuilt in popular and trusted exchange like Binance. You can just leverage if you want to actively trade a coin. With so many good options available, I'd not give a riskier centralized platform my money.
I think this is their main purpose and this is why they have a name like that (defi) which is short for decentralized finance. When we hear the word finance, we can automatically think of lend, loan or borrow money. Their only difference from the traditional financing service in the real world is they are decentralized because this is what is crypto all about or supposed to be. It skips the hassle of KYC and stuffs but this can also be risky as criminal minds will have more confidence on doing their thing because of that fact. So, do not say that it was their centralized counterpart is the one that is bad. After all, it is still better if we are free from debts.
127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stopping the curse of losing streak? on: April 12, 2024, 11:26:53 AM
Resting your mind in these moments of long losses is essential to be able to come back renewed, even if the losses continue. What I see is that you can't stop betting, much less come back and want to recover what you lost. Accept the loss, reset and start again.
That's what most gamblers can't do, they can't let go of their losses and start afresh every time they start gambling which is why they lose more in every other gambling session. If a gambler starts accepting their losses and moves ahead, there won't be any loss streaks that would look like a curse.

If you are a gambler and you keep losing money all the time and you are facing that situation only because you are always chasing your losses, you need to change your pattern, stop chasing your losses and try to gamble normally every time even if you have lost in your last gambling session.

This will make you feel better and you won't have an unending loss streak anymore.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is This How I Lost All Of My Money From Atomic Wallet? on: April 11, 2024, 03:19:04 PM
All you did was follow the instructions of the scammers at the cost of your funds. The used Atomic wallet to deceive you, I have seen similar scams attempts using trust wallet but I never fell for them because I knew from miles away that they were scams.
Whether he was scammed in the name of Atomic Wallet support or somewhere else, we can't be sure, because based on what he has said so far, he contacted the official support and also downloaded the official version of the app, and the support team never asked for his seed phrase but asked him to import his wallet in the Cosmostation. I don't see how they can transfer his funds if they didn't get the seed phrase themselves.

So, I believe he most probably got phished or something before this issue or while he was in contact with the support team of Atomic Wallet because there can only be two things, either someone had access to his wallet through the seed phrase or the Cosmo wallet team accessed his wallet and transferred the funds.
129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Land Based Casinos in the Digital Age on: April 11, 2024, 08:29:10 AM
As technology develops, physical casinos may be less popular than online casinos because nowadays most people prefer to use cellphones wherever they go and online casinos are easy to do anywhere, whereas in land-based casinos we have to visit the gambling house. I even think that one day gambling houses will become extinct and they will switch to online casinos because if they don't keep up with developments they will be increasingly left behind. Indeed there are some people who may still be able to visit land-based casinos but not as many as in the past so in my opinion, land-based casinos continue hoping that someone will come to visit, it would be better if he changed the concept to change it online so that the profits return to normal.
Cellphone isn't just simply preferred but they need it primarily for communications. Other features included there are what we can say only just a bonus. If we think about it, there are still land-based services like computer shops even though mini-computers are now dominating but their numbers were maybe lesser now compared to before. I believe the same faith physical casinos will experience. At least they won't be extinct totally.

Physical casinos can include new stuffs but they still can't imitate the comfortability that these online casinos bring. As much as you do, for sure that many physical business owners have also think of the idea to switch online and maybe many of them are now already there.
130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does the game of luck in gambling really works? on: April 11, 2024, 05:20:44 AM
We win by chance and not luck, every gambler wins because of the chance present in the game, its not being lucky. It doesn't matter whether you have won for a long time or not.
Chances or odds determine the possibility of your winning, but you only win if you are lucky enough for that because the results are randomly generated and aren't influenced by anything else. It means how consciously or how much you are experienced in gambling got nothing to do with your winning chances.

You won because your analysis and prediction work and you were ready to risk the amount you risk because you know two possible outcome win or lose, will you then say you were lucky for the winning?
If there are two possibilities, winning and losing, and you are winning when the result is ought to be randomly generated, what would you call that? It's luck, if you are unlucky, you lose.

In essence there  is no game of luck, I know some gamblers believe luck happens, if luck exist what's the need for predictions, decision or analysis before we place our  bets.
You don't do analysis or anything when you are playing luck-based games. How can you do analysis when you are playing in a slot machine? You can't do that, all you do is decide the amount you want to bet and press the button.

For me luck is just an illusion we are wired to believe. Gamble responsibly, discipline and moderation is needed and appropriate risk tolerance that's all. No need to overstretched it.
Responsible gambling is important, no doubt about that, but I don't agree with you that luck doesn't exist, if it didn't, no one in the world would manage to win life-changing amounts of money from gambling that too with very small bankrolls.
131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $100,000 and $1,000,000 Bitcoin on: April 11, 2024, 04:22:53 AM
First, People will need to Invest in Cloud Mining and Mining Bitcoin. That will be Part of the Price going up. There will have to be People that are Constantly involved in Mining and getting more Bitcoins, but mostly Holding them for the Future with Plans to Sell them for a Higher Price. And we want People to have Mining Machines that they can use for Other Currencies, we will always want there to be People Mining. And very Soon, we will be Helping People to use their Old Machines and Things by Creating New Currencies in the Van Kush Family Network, but that is beside the Point. But the Point is that we will always want People to be Mining, with Laptops, with ASICs, all of that will be Happening.
I don't trust cloud mining services because they are scams, mostly, it is also not possible to mine anything with laptops of home computers anymore in my opinion, and even if there are some tokens and coins that you can mine with a personal computer, they would probably need you to spend more money on electricity bills than you will get by selling those coins or tokens because they would be worthless and this mining process doesn't produce anything but losses for the individual.

Talking about the price of Bitcoin, most of us are optimistic that we will see it hitting at least $100k this bull run because it has changed the pattern a little bit by hitting a new all-time high before the halving event which means we have seen a wave of the bull run before the halving this time, and in the second wave, we expect to see it crossing $100k.
132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where is the fun when you lose your money? on: April 10, 2024, 06:12:24 PM
So where's the fun when you lose your money?
When a gambler gets involved in gambling, he becomes addicted to gambling primarily because of his interest in money. I can never take it for granted that anyone who is into gambling is just for fun no matter what they say because a gambler is involved in gambling because of the interest and greed for money.
When a gambler bets on gambling, he is betting for profit. If the gambler loses on that bet, then basically a kind of anxiety is created in him. He becomes depressed because no matter how much he bets on gambling for pleasure, losing will inevitably create some kind of anxiety in him.
The anxiety you are talking about isn't found in a lot of gamblers, including me, which means that a lot of us gamblers wouldn't try to chase our losses or get anxious and depressed when we lose our money when gambling and the reason for that are that we don't gamble for money, and we always gamble with a budget that we have decided beforehand and if we lose it, we are done for the day or the week. So yes, we do exist Grin.

However, that doesn't mean we enjoy our losses, lol. If I'm gambling, even if I'm doing it just for fun or to try my luck and I'm a responsible gambler, I would feel bad if I lose my money because I'm a human after all, but that feeling doesn't make me do anything more than just having a small sadness and then it vanishes as soon as I make myself understand that it's gambling and such things are bound to happen in it, let it go.
133  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When is the best time to trade a Bitcoin on: April 10, 2024, 05:54:34 PM
It is with coincidence that I've got a friend that have taught the same thing. When the US market is active, then that's the time he should also trade. This market is on the stocks and not with crypto but I think that he makes sense. Well, he's not so profitable trader but I've learned also from some of his observation about this type of trading during day and night, I don't really find something good or bad with them. As long as you're good with any time of the day and you are making profits, that's when you should trade and that's always been the best time.
As far as I know, the cryptocurrency market is barely affected by traditional financial markets such as stock markets, and you can't expect to have a pump or dump in Bitcoin's price or in the cryptocurrency market based on the opening or closing of those markets, and if someone sees something like that happening some day, it might be a coincidence and one should make a strategy out of that because if it doesn't happen all the time, the strategy might fail.

People who trade in the cryptocurrency market need to evaluate this market only and keep track of any piece of news or anything related to cryptocurrencies because those are the things that might affect the market but other financial markets don't have much of an influence on them.
134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dana thought he lost $80k one night and his advice for gamblers on: April 10, 2024, 05:11:33 PM
He might have consumed alcohol due to which he made a mistake in selecting the correct number at that time. He lost more money than he thought. Gambling is already very risky, a gambler can lose all his money due to a small mistake whereas if a gambler gambles under the influence of alcohol then his loss is guaranteed. Gambling can lead to both profit and loss but still we should try to gamble responsibly so that we don't make any big mistakes. Whenever we make a big mistake we will face a big financial loss. Gambling should be done with a relatively small amount of money without taking excessive financial risks and should make informed and cool minded decisions regarding gambling.
You are right about alcohol because it is also written in the first post. Mistakes can happen not only for the drinkers but if we are more careful, we can minimize or prevent them. The only moment gambling became very risky is when we are staking with huge amounts. A small mistake is only small but they can be deadly sometimes. If only we deposit money that are not huge enough, it's not going to be a big deal losing them all at one go. Gambling under the spirit of alcohol does not guarantee a loss. I remember some also ended up with a huge win but it does not mean that we will now follow it. Some activities should be done separately.
135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing in casinos: Still a thing? on: April 09, 2024, 05:18:22 PM
we cannot be sure which is more profitable, whether investing in bitcoin or investing in casinos, because it all depends on the performance of both things. for example, the price of bitcoin has risen several tens of percent in this year alone, and that makes it a profitable asset. but that's only for this year, we can't be sure about the future. meanwhile for some casinos, maybe an increase of 10-15 percent in 1 year, but that also varies, it's possible that next year their performance could be more or less.

so we can't conclude which one is more profitable, but i am more convinced that investing in bitcoin is more profitable.
When we invest on a casino, our fate relies on them or how the owner run its casino but when investing in Bitcoin, all will be up to us. It is said that casinos are always profitable but despite of it, there are still lots of casinos who don't last a long time. If I can compare them in cryptocurrency terms, they are like the meme coins due their risk and reward ratio. Bitcoin is more stable but the growth of our money can only be slow as not all times there will be a bull run. In my opinion a better approach would be is to diversify, so that we still can reap each of their benefits but I would only like to prioritize Bitcoin more than investing in the casinos.
136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: April 09, 2024, 02:46:23 PM
So far the semi-final between Leverkusen and Milan is likely to be very exciting compared to Liverpool's match which may face Benfica in the other semi-final later, if later Benfica will meet Liverpool of course Liverpool will be the favorite to win the game even if maybe Marseille will be Liverpool's opponent, I think at the moment Liverpool have everything they need to reach the Europa League final and even Maybe win it, because in my opinion the experience, mentality, quality of players possessed by Liverpool at the moment is still better than other teams that are still in the quarterfinals of the Europa League.

While on the other hand of course Milan and Leverkusen will be an early final in my opinion when they meet in the semi-finals later, but for sure the match will be full of prestige and also high intensity because indeed both teams have so far been able to give many surprises with their consistent performances, I think when Leverkusen and Milan meet maybe we will all consider Leverkusen as superior,  But I think Milan will be a worthy opponent for Leverkusen and I think Milan will be able to beat Leverkusen when they are not favourites in that game.
But I would talk less about "of course" and how easy it will be that Leverkusen and Liverpool win their games. They will be the favorites on paper, but as I said before AC Milan and Benfica are not same as Qarabak and Sparta. Those are two completely different teams and much harder to play against and from the semifinal on, talking about favorites who will have some easy games is just wrong in my opinion. When you look at AC Milan's performance at the moment, do you think that Leverkusen is a hug favorite in the game if they play against each other? I doubt it if AC Milan can preserve that form for a couple more weeks. Playing in Italy against them will be brutally hard and they know how to play counter attacks.
Talk less or more now it's not matter because we are heading for the last four of this competition with if we have these four in last four Bayer Leverkusen, Liverpool, Benfica and AC Milan then we will be surely at the best of the game with no huge favourite and all teams will be having fair chance for going into last two because two teams will be well organized and also having good history of doing good in all level games and two teams which are currently ruling their leagues and also having good squads and quality in players which can bring results as they wanted.

AC Milan and Benfica are surely best teams and these can make things interesting, while we will be having little edge but still competition at the same level and quality for the all teams.

My tips for newcomers is avoid to read so called tips.

My tips to newcomers
- don't start giving tips to other newcomers
- don't give tips you don't follow yourself
- most tips you see are useless merit phishing posts

Or, way easier:

Lol, I was literally thinking of using this example in my response but you have already done it Grin. It's really funny and amusing to find such things where a person is trying to do something or teaching others to do a certain thing to achieve great results while you can see them having no results themselves.

It's like going to a person who creates medicine to cure baldness and make people buy his products to grow hair naturally without surgeries and then you find out that the person creating those medicines is bald himself Grin.

OP is a classic example of all these where he is trying to provide suggestions and tips for newbies to achieve great heights while he isn't able to do that himself even after knowing all those things.
138  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you think merit is by chance or lengthy article? on: April 08, 2024, 06:10:55 PM
The only time writing a lengthy paragraphs is if you are writing a guide or tutorial that is really long. If you wrote episode with plenty of words just to convince anyone that you are good at writing script, people might not even reply your thread not talk more meriting it. I do see such threads here by beginners trying to show that the are teaching other members some things when they are supposed to use that free time to learn new things to improve in their knowledge.

Do you even know that writing a single line of reply can earn you plenty of merits from different people than writing many lengthy things? The key thing there is to give the necessary information. If someone ask for wallet recommendation, how straight to the point, don't beat around the bush, if someone ask what is the best way to avoid scams, give them precise information and not what they don't need and you will be fine with merits.
It is said that a diamond is recognized by its brilliance, the same way, an experienced person is recognized by his knowledge and research. New members of this forum are probably unaware that the older and experienced members here are capable of understanding their abilities from their very first post.

Every day I read messages from people who don't even know what they are talking about, they just want to draw people's attention with their long texts. While replying to the posts of others, after being completely unaware of this matter, they sit down with their own stories about what is going on, which they think can give them merit but it doesn't happen at all.

I wish people stop running after merit and focus on their research and their knowledge.
139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: April 08, 2024, 02:55:24 PM
When a gambler is not mentally and physically fit then he is not fit for gambling. But still if the gambler is inclined towards betting then he cannot take the right decision. In this case his chances of defeat are high. An important quality of a gambler for gambling is patience. Regardless of win or loss if a gambler can manage his gambling purposefully then he can definitely get relatively good results in the long run. Gambling after winning a bet with the intention of winning another bet is more likely to result in a loss. Chances of winning are high if a gambler conducts gambling with a certain amount of time in that area.
It's not even about time, when you are involved in gambling on luck-based games you tend to always have the possibility of losing if you don't stop at the right time, and the right time to stop is when you have won already, which means that if you are already ahead of the house and have some profit on top of your initial bankroll, you need to stop gambling right away because if you continue gambling after that point, your wins will turn into losses eventually.

Responsible gamblers would never do that. If I'm a responsible gambler, and I'm gambling and I know I'm ahead of the house already, I would rather stop gambling instead of trying to win more at that point because I would know if I try to achieve more, I might lose control of what I have already achieved.
140  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I really hold onto my bitcoins in the future? on: April 08, 2024, 12:08:03 PM
Don't complicate your life too much with investments that you should use for urgent matters, because one of the goals of investment is to solve problems related to your finances.
That's what most people don't understand when they are making investments in cryptocurrencies. They don't think about the money they are using for their investments because they have heard that Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies generate profit on investments and they rushed to the market to make their investments, but they aren't told the downsides of the market that might not make someone lose money but it can surely make them lose time.

Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies move in a cyclical movement pattern which means there are two sides of the market, one is the bear market and the second one is the bull market. Now people who refer new investors to the market don't tell them these things in detail, so they don't know that their investment can sometimes take years to yield them profit.
