Guys, if you use Bytecoin v2 as base, be aware it adds additional verifications for the transactions. We already have some 'soft forks' on several forknote supported networks.

Since pool is running now I have a problem with sending payments.-
on walletd daemon they said.- 2017-Jul-02 19:26:56.487741 WARNING [PaymentServiceJsonRpcServer] Requested method not found: transfer
Looking at src/PaymentGate/PaymentServiceJsonRpcServer.cpp I've discovered there are no such method.
The pool is calling this method in lib/paymentProcessor.js at apiInterfaces.rpcWallet('transfer', transferCmd.rpc, function(error, result){
So, is someone having the same issue?
The pool software uses simplewallet, not walletd

We have good trade volume at Cryptopia. We survived Poloniex and I am certain we will survive HitBTC, if they want to delist. I hope that will not be the case and they will find time to fix the issue, which should be relatively easy.
The real issue is Minergate. They know their chain is worthless but they continue to mine on it. I do not really understand what is going on there and how they plan to give their users their DSH. Just to be clear - we offered them to cover their damage in terms of DSH shortly after the split. Now it's too late for this
Hi new to the forum. Ive been mining dsh through minergate for the past month or so. Would you recommend that i stop and use something else? I noted today on there website this comment appeared a38kefir:shoppi"minergate will state a comment this month about the situration, and probably cashout all Dashcoins and shut down mining on it." what do you recommend for mining? Make sure they are letting you to cash out on the correct fork, not on their worthless fork. If they let you cashout on the double spendable chain they are stealing your DSH. Literally. They can generate billions of coins out of thin air on their fork. Minergate are aware about the problem since 13 April (they integrated fix for Monero and Bytecoin), they got a separate fix for DSH since 9 May, and they get notified about the double spending less than 24 hours after it occurred on their chain

I mine by minergate soft. use wallet 1.1.7.1 withdraw from minergate 7 times
I didn`t have even a small problem with it. but if I see someone, I will msg you.
need some faq or manual to wallet. I read some posts from BCN users. many of them can`t understand how to use it right.
I don't think that's the case. A lot of our Democats miners are having problems with their GUI client and we are getting a lot of problems with the reference client

Hi guys, I got informed QCN does not sync to the Minergate's chain with Forknote anymore. I tried it myself, and I am sad to inform you there is a double spending on Minergate's chain. Here is the block and the transaction where it occurs: 2017-Jun-30 12:44:35.989405 DEBUG Request to add block came for block 9eb6fe2fdd704850733159cdb5b14575335c185d868b92956f64d28e9555d834 2017-Jun-30 12:44:36.006558 DEBUG Failed to validate transaction a5bed16177851bc6db7249e6d96c8a9cecf72d4c600eea791ed1b99acb817fa0: Transaction uses key image not in the valid domain I can calculate how many coins are double/infinite spent, but since the block is found 6 days ago, it might be in the range of millions.

Hello, We are having problems with they payments from some time. The payments are stopped until we have real (not temporary) fix for the issue. My guess is the payments will be resumed today or tomorrow, but it might take more if the issue is more complex.

hi, I have a concern, every time I start the deamon I get my laptopīs ram at 100% during 1 or 2 hours (I have 8 gb RAM) and almost the same when I exit, will this continue like this forever? will be worse? will the blockchain.bin file continue growing forever? I canīt believe a software in 2017 that works this way... Hope someone can clarify
Regards
At the initial sync it uses a lot of ram. Restart the daemon to reduce the ram used. If it's stuck just kill it and relaunch it

Hello ,
Seed... my wallet no sync/
First, be sure you are using at least version 2.0.4 from the forknote repo. https://github.com/forknote/forknote2.0.6 is probably a better idea, but I haven't made the switch myself yet so I can't say. In your bitcoal data directory, delete the file p2pstate.bin. The file will be replaced with a fresh copy when you restart forknote. If you've started sync at all, your config file is probably ok as it is. If you want a fresh one, get it from https://github.com/forknote/configsThe two seed nodes there should get you on your way, maybe after deleting p2pstate.bin again. If you still think you have need of further seed nodes, you can try adding these to your bitcoal.conf seed-node=136.243.69.10:7700 seed-node=192.121.166.182:7700 Leave the two already there in place. I got some problems with v2.0.6. Stick with 2.0.4 better

slb thanks. I am willing to create a help (and youtube video tutorial) but first I have to figure out for myself ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) So please, tell me: 1. Is mandatory to have 2 seeding nodes? If YES, the config file should contain both seeding nodes IPs? 2. Genesis coinbase transaction hex. When creating config file using the form from your website, I see that a genesis hex is generated. If I later run ./forknoted --config-file configs/imaginary_blockchain.conf --print-genesis-tx, a new genesis hex will be generated. Should I replace it in the config file? Or can I leave the genesis hex genereted before (by your website form) ? I wrote a small tutorial file with I belive is nedeed to create own coin. The tutorial is here https://pastebin.com/TRsDzy2uI am not sure if it is correct. Thanks! It seams correct. You need 2 nodes and both of them in the config file If you do not change parameters or premined address there is no need to change the genesis tx hex

Thanks for your previous and acurate answer. I have just created a testing coin. I guess I am at the last step - sync with network. When running ./forknoted --config-file configs/my.conf i get this:
Sync data returned unknown top block: 227650 -> 1294061 [1066411 blocks (1481 days) behind]
Why the sync is so behind for a new coin? Is there a faster way to sync?
You need to add your own nodes

So basically once you release the updated Forknote based on the latest Bytecoin release, all Forknote currencies are already updated, right? The idea is quite nice from technology point of view. However, it is a central point-of-failure for a number of decentralized currencies (existing and potential). What happens if one day you decide to abandon this idea and stop updating Forknote?
It's an open source project, anyone is welcome to contribute or fork. I guess if multiple currencies have $20mil combined marketcap (we have ~$2mil now) they will find a way to pay someone to merge the latest bytecoin or monero version. The more disturbing issue is the hashrate required, but i think we will be able to overcome this with merged mining (and POS eventually). offtop. slb, pool dinastycoin democats what port API? Need for page Network.

slb,
how do you feel, is it possible to switch MCN [Moneta Verde] to forknote?
Adding merged mining to Forknote is a priority. Moneta Verde should run fine if we support merged mining You don't need to compile to create a network. You don't need to wonder how you will integrate security fixes, as long as they are fixed in Bytecoin/Forknote. Still nobody does this, but you can actually create on-demand blockchains fast and easy. Linking them will open a lot of possibilities. PS: We are experiencing some issues with v2.0.6. Use the prior version (v2.0.4) if you are experiencing some odd problems.

If you are operating a big pool (or are a big solo miner), please check your configuration, node functionality, connectivity, and logs. There have been some large reorgs that have happened in the past day. This could be caused by a large miner that keeps mining without propagating blocks (possibly due to somehow being lagged/overloaded if short on RAM given the high volume of tx in the past couple of weeks), or it could be a bug (hopefully something would show up in logs).
PM me if you have any info.
EDIT: also if you are running a big pool or miner, please make sure you running the current version 0.9.12.0.
That's actually a strategy to get more blocks. I have suspicions at least one pool is actively doing it, but I have no proof.

I almost synced the daemon ... almost because the sync stop to go on ... The daemon can't overcame the 757477 block !
What can I do?
The chain with double spending on it has more blocks. If you see this message it's synchronised: INFO [104.238.188.213:7610 OUT] SYNCHRONIZED OK

Some days ago I started in mining DSH on http://dsh.mypool.name/ on this address D42iHmSrt9m3FMFo8UxmMZ72rrakPUufnVZA2aoxWSc6STAMFzwWnENRYTUwFJqHfWAJHJtUqETFQaJ qm7Z545LjAQKkAJ9 and I obtained some coins 43.0 DSH ... after sincing the daemon and started simplewallet and after the reset I obtain the balance of 0.0 coins. I thinked that something wrong happened on mypool.name ... so I changed pool! On democats.org I mined 22.7 coins the balance still 0.0 ... How can I do to unlock the wallet? Now I stop mining DSH even if now the diff is really good! I firstly intalled Dashcoin Wallet GUI f21c4c6 and i obtained the address for mining! Then because this not syncing I installed the new version CLI v2.0.1.1221 that synced, I backupped the wallet and i use it as wallet on simplewallet ... so I obtain always a 0.0 balance :-( Now on another PC I have installed the new version and after sync I obtain a new address ... then i wait until Dashcoin Wallet GUI f21c4c6 sync or is better use the old cli version 1.0.10 to unlock the old wallet! The GUI is using old core and it's not working properly. Use CLI only. Do you see your correct wallet address with simplewallet? If you see it, just try to 'reset' and it should be fine. PS: Since there are already more than 10 networks using forknote/cryptonote-generator, it is extremely inefficient to create and update a separate GUI software for all of them. We created a bounty for creating (and maintaining) a GUI for Forknote: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1079306.msg19191839#msg19191839The bounty currently is 50,000 DSH. To contribute to it send DSH to: D6WLtrV1SBWV8HWQzQv8uuYuGy3uwZ8ah5iT5HovSqhTKMauquoTsKP8RBJzVqVesX87poYWQgkGWB4 NWHJ6Ravv93v4BaE with payment_id: f000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001
