121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of lying project team on: April 27, 2020, 09:20:39 PM
I've seen few projects that decieved investors into thinking that they will list on binance or okex and Kucoin without these exchanges confirmation, my advice is once a project claim they are going top exchange do not hesitate to go to the top exchange social media, if the listing is legit the exchange will atleast say something about it. Wise up

Talking about a team lying to investors, it isn't only about listing on top exchanges. Oh yeah, any team announcing fake listing on a top exchange is already a red flag 🚩 for me, if I'm holding such coin, its outright dump without a second thought since its the highest level of incompetence. However, some team members will write what they know they can never accomplish or showcase products they can never develop on Whitepaper, all these are still major forms of deception to investors.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ERC20 Wallet Address on: April 27, 2020, 05:46:38 PM
To make the work more easier for you I will like to list few decentralized wallet on here, they are more secured and better
1. Coinomi wallet
2. Trust wallet
3. Myether wallet
4. Monarch wallet
5. Exodus wallet
6. Bitpay wallet
7. Copay wallet
8. Atomic wallet

Good luck
I think Coinomi should be removed from your list, it's having a lot of problems with many members on this forum complaining about it. I think Metamask should be added to this list, which is a good wallet

I was about to point this out, nice one. Many people been complaining about coinomi, that's the more reason why I stopped using it although frankly speaking I've never encountered any issues of coinomi when using it in the past personally. Is there need for so many multi wallets to store ERC20 tokens when TRUSTWALLET right now is the most swift and trustworthy?
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: AIR DROPS ! wasting time or not? on: April 26, 2020, 07:10:19 PM
The mistake most people make is joining several airdrops without checking for red flags or doing lil findings to know if it's legit or not. For instance, I'm not an airdrop freak but if i must do any airdrop especially from already existing and known projects, the very first thing i do is to check their official handles if the airdrop is legit or scam. It's funny how some guys use fake airdrops to build their telegram channels or Twitter followers, hence its necessary to do lil findings. Airdrops still pay but sparingly, a good example is HEX which paid people with good referral base well.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What exactly does a good project needs. on: April 26, 2020, 05:45:36 PM

An example is the dynamite  with several hypes and wins community vote almost everywhere, getting listed in several  exchange, yet, no product, nothing just a lame project.

The question is, would these undervalued, poor dev projects ever compensate investors in terms of returns on investment?
I hope to learn further more below.

The major tactic used by most of these lame projects with hype as stated is a supportive community. The team usually do a form of airdrop to community members who vote on several exchanges for free listing, and most likely get listed on several shitty exchanges thereby driving in new community members. Some good teams with renowned project neglect power of community which is a very big mistake to begin with, hence leading to failed project in no time. When doing research on which coin to hold for long term, one of the things I consider whether the project is community centric or not, and I believe many other crypto enthusiasts do same. In my opinion, a good project needs good marketing, a strong community and of course a good team and product.

126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Best Project 2020, suddenly stopped! on: April 11, 2020, 09:45:09 PM
Defining a project as the best depends on your belief but it doesn't matter because it's your opinion. If they have stopped the bounty, they have reason behind it and it could be the budgeting or they have met already their expected reach.

I really do like your point bro. When I saw "the best project 2020" I was hoping to see a well established project, unfortunately OP mentioned INSURE instead. I had no idea about their Bounty, but most people only pick interest in project only when there is a Bounty, it's not supposed to be that way all the time.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie in trading cryptocurrency and forex on: January 31, 2020, 01:18:35 PM
Hi guys I would like some guidance and a understanding on trading I’ve been all over the internet and I just don’t know who to trust and get valuable feedback from what are your opinions on trading as a whole and in what direction do I take my first step

When it comes to trading, you need to ve calm and confident neglecting any emotional attachments to trades.

Secondly, you can check YouTube or medium for videos or blogs as regards crypto trade n forez trade.

Practice with very small $ and develop in bits, the faster u adjust, the more you know how to trade for profit

Very relevant points made here, a lot of patience is required to be a successful trader. Also, over time I realized that experience will help you become a better trader, with consistency too and steady learning to improve. It's old news to also say greed is a bad factor in trading.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top crypto pairs in which you should invest? on: January 31, 2020, 11:08:10 AM
Recently I traded ATOM  and ADA, I usually take little profit especially for day trading. I've been trading for long and discovered that BTC/USDT pair favors me the most since with stop limit, I'm sure I won't lose much in any trade. For Binance I use the OCO (Order Cancel Order), hence I set my sell order and stop limit at same time, and it's favorable.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Forecast for 2020 on: January 30, 2020, 06:58:44 PM
The adoption of blockchain keeps getting widespread traction in all sectors, no country wants to be left out too. However, cryptocurrency on the other hand is gaining more popularity but the rate of adoption is very slow. I believe more regulations will roll out this year and this will fast track crypto adoption. This year is going to be great for crypto enthusiasts from all indications, Bitcoin halving is a major factor amongst others.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A New Quest for Decentralization on: January 30, 2020, 01:20:04 PM
Is it okay when a Proof-of-Work coin developers are doing a hard-fork changing the consensus algorithm to make it GPU-friendly again?
The change from POW to POS by some devs, for instance Ethereum' might be decided after analyzing the advantages and disadvantages involved. No doubt POW algorithm proffers a more secured and decentralized system, deters cyber attacks and upholds a trustless and distributed concensus, it also has its major disadvantages. For instance the energy requirements for mining is much. Proof of stake on the other hand even though will make consensus mechanism totally virtual, validators get block reward depending on their staked coins and there is no such energy requirements. However, I really like the point raised by OP and will drop my opinion on "how we can do better" after my research. Decentralization still remains a key factor in crypto and shouldn't be thrown under the carpet.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your preparation for 2020? on: January 30, 2020, 10:37:10 AM
Many still do not understand the meaning of bitcoin halving. So some guys still think it means reducing BTC total supply by half 🤔 hell no. Simply put, it's reducing mining reward by half and there are so many reasons why it should push up the price for BTC. Presently 50% of my crypto holdings is in BTC, 30% is for trading BTC/USDT and the remaining 20% is in ETH and three other altcoins. I expect a massive uptrend next month for BTC everything being equal.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Crypto Projects to Watch in 2020 on: January 29, 2020, 11:58:28 PM

Let me assume you already know ETH is the best altcoin to hold this season since POS switch is coming soon. BNB on the list is great but the hype already died down, I can remember when a token moving to Binance chain will cause pump for the token and in turn cause uptrend for BNB. I will look into ATOM, I had some before but sold all my holdings. I think XRP is missing on the list with regards their project development so far.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ideas - dead cryptos on: January 29, 2020, 05:48:52 PM
There used to be 2 coins that the purpose of them was to burn dead coins. The problem was the coins had to at least have a value on the currency checking websites like coingecko or it wouldn't be accepted. The idea was to "clean up" al the dead crypto and trapped crypto in peoples wallets that will probably never see the light of day again. You were meant to exchange these for the projects native token. This is why if you holding coins you have a bad feeling about or coins that do not appear to be doing well or have no use. Rather sell them and make something then keep them forever and make nothing.

Once I spot a coin in my possession which belongs to a project with zero progress, even if I got the coin via airdrop, I don't hesitate to dump. The problem is that, most of such Shitcoins never get listed or have very poor trading volume even if they are listed officially or unofficially on DEX mostly which permit that. I have a few in my possession, I already counted as loss.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Places To Hold Initial Coin Offerings on: January 29, 2020, 01:11:12 PM
I was thinking maybe like an EBay or another ecommerce platform that would help both parties minimize scams and fraud. Any thoughts?

An e-commerce-like platform for ICO? Sounds weird to me. Nobody talks about ICOs anymore. No good project right now will launch an ICO when there is a better alternative, IEO. Talking about security for both investors and team members, the team should go for reputable exchanges even with their tight terms and conditions, rather than going for crappie exchanges.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance to help Coronavirus victims on: January 28, 2020, 10:33:09 PM
Another great achievement by Binance in trying to prove to the world that crypto (or crypto projects) can also be useful to the world. I can remember when Binance assisted with 1M$ in BNB for Australian Bushfire, now CZ is giving 1.5M$ to help eradicate  Coronavirus. Very generous and wise move. I hope other crypto projects learn from Binance.
136  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Crypto Bull Run is Here! on: January 28, 2020, 01:38:39 PM
I was lucky to load more BTC recently at 8.2k$ after my technical analysis. However, I was afraid the Chinese new year FA will disrupt my plans but to my greatest astonishment it seems the bull run is here already. Some folks are in the opinion that the Corona virus issue is subduing the effect of Chinese new year since many people won't even bother converting to FIAT due to the lockdown. Another rumor has it that some Bitmex whales who longed BTC influenced the uptrend. I think the upcoming halving is the major reason for this uptrend but I can't speculate if the price will hit 15k before halving or not, let the market decide.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Japan reportedly working on a proposal to issue a national digital currency on: January 27, 2020, 03:53:28 PM
So many rumors about countries coming up with their own digital currency after the digital YUAN news. I think all these central bank digital currencies won't be built on blockchain at early stages, but with time they will see need for launching these national digital currencies on the blockchain.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Altcoin's Price Jump? on: January 27, 2020, 11:07:45 AM
If the price of the Altcoin goes up, then the Bitcoin value will go up. The reason is that when the price of Bitcoin goes up, the price of Altcoin goes up as well.
If people start buying Altcoin more than today, the price of Bitcoin will go up as well.
If the price of Bitcoin goes up by 2021, it will be a record.
Am I right?

This is not correct. How can you say if people start buying altcoins the price of bitcoin goes up as well 🤔 altcoins normally have an uptrend when Bitcoin price moves sideways. If people start buying altcoins, Bitcoin price doesn't go up as mentioned here.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to prepare for long term HODL on: January 26, 2020, 02:24:17 PM
I totally agree with you that not altcoins are for long term Hodl and bitcoin and some other top coins are only to be used for long time hodl, you also have to stay updated and keep checking on your investment because nothing is actually promised and you have to keep track of your investment

When holding an altcoin for long term, staying updated with the project's progress and updates is very vital. A friend lost a whooping sum because he was holding a coin for very long term but didn't follow up regularly, when they did a swap, he missed the deadline and only got to know when he tried sending the coin to exchange. There is no remedy till date about that, so closely follow up on every coin you hold, it's very essential.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO legalities in 2020? on: January 26, 2020, 11:16:18 AM

I am not from the usa but live here now. Is it a resident or a citizen issue?

If you reside in the US, then you are also subject to the laws hence you are not supposed to participate in ICOs which didn't comply to terms of SEC. Unless there is no restriction for people in the US and also you are sure the ICO complies to SEC laws to avoid any issue. If you face any issue for instance after taking the risk of investing in non regulated ICOs, you have yourself to blame.
