The 300 LTC wall on mintpal isn't exactly old and only went up after most of the sell orders got bought which makes me assume that someone is intentionally trying to bog down the market.
Things need to be worked on before making an impact and will be released soon enough to give a good level of impression to the altcoin community.
Glad to see this thread back in action. I'd hardly say someone is trying to hold the market down, since there is almost no trading volume. I've been quite impressed the price has stayed this stable, in fact, considering the sub-$1000 daily volume. Certain manipulator(s) have been trying to keep the price down for weeks now for whatever unknown reason. He/she will regret trying to play the market when big whales come into play.
There is zero evidence of any manipulation. PND simply has no utility at this point - no games, no markets, no places to spend. It's a damn positive sign that the market isn't crashing considering the low volume. Even the multi-pool has slowed significantly, and PND profits are kinda abysmal there compared to what they once were. These two walls make little to no sense. If you're holding that much you should be interested in new people flooding the market which isn't happening anytime soon with their way blocked. So the conclusion I'm drawing is that the person putting them there is indeed interested in holding back the market.  |

Whatever the devs come up with it needs be strong enough to break that combined ~300 ltc sell wall on Mintpal that's been sitting there for weeks. I have a lot of BTC ready to help attack it but I need some info about what's coming. I know the devs try to avoid hype but the Panda team is the only one from whom hype won't automatically be dismissed as BS. Something needs to be done before interest fades. Flappycoin's rebirth was strangled by the same kind of zombie wall because they never came up with any hype to smash it down. I suspect some mega-whale put these walls up months ago and has since forgotten about them as they've continued to invest in the hundreds of other coins out there.

Any thoughts about putting out a bounty for anonymous transactions, encrypted messaging in the wallet, stuff like that? These are the areas that are hot right now. The coins doing it (or saying they'll do it) are dry, techy and kind of soulless (XC, XLB, Cinni, Darkcoin, Blackcoin). The combination of Panda's lighthearted, pleasant image combined with hard-core tech would be unbeatable.
The field seems wide open: Darkcoin rose, and then fell because their tech is buggy, Blackcoin imploded because of team issues, XLB might be a scam, Cinni made promises but never delivered. Today it is XC's turn in the spotlight. They have good tech which is (as usual) doesn't seem like it was stress tested against what full real world implementation will bring. I suspect they'll slip back down into obscurity pretty soon once things start to break.
The market for altcoins is not the general consumer (yet). It is the anti-bank activist, the miner, the investor, the whale and the minnow who buy, mine or trade into these things because they figure their coin of choice could be the next Bitcoin. It is very unlikely altcoins will ever be used at general retail or in restaurants. Some payment processor will issue you a Visa card that you can link to your altcoin account(s) and they'll handle the fiat conversion etc. behind the scenes (I think Blackcoin does something like already). To Panda Express, it'll be just another Visa card ATM transaction. To succeed, Panda has to appeal more to the techy, finance oriented geek constituency. Panda is consistently between 38 - 42 on Coinmarketcap which is great but much more is possible.
An anonymity related feature has been in the talks for quite some time now but the problem with that would be the approach that guarantees sustainability. Obviously I could be standing here telling you about the certainty of an implementation but this will create unnecessary hype, so I'll just say that we're considering it at this point and are actively looking into options to get it up and running. Right now, as ozzke mentioned, there's another major feature being worked on however that should give us a good amount of spotlight. |

I do not support this coin, but I do support wallet building for OSX. Installer:  Client:  The client has been built with Qt 5.3.0, OpenSSL 1.0.1g and the rest of the latest deps available on homebrew. It has been tested with Mountain Lion (OSX 10.8) and Mavericks (OSX 10.9) and I'm expecting it to work with Lion (OSX 10.7) as well. Where is the web and mobile games ? etc. i found the progress is going slowly. Maybe i am wrong. can you show me the IRC website ? i want to hear your team say something. Those things take time to develop and since we're not in the position to pump out tons of half-finished products you will have to be patient.
