121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 19, 2021, 12:47:44 AM
So, Real failed to beat Getafe and game ended 0:0. Honestly, it's that game where I expected to see Real dropping points - Getafe looks so poor this season. But today they played very well. Yes, Real were missing some players, but I think it's not excuse when you're playing against Getafe.
This result is obviously good for Atletico who trashed Eibar 5:0 and Barca who haven't played this round. It's damn hot on the top.

Hm, why did you expect Real to dop points here? Clearly, it was their duty to get those three points. This game was quite vital for the championship. I know Real loses points against weaker teams quite frequently in recent times, but after reaching the semi finals in the CL I thought they may be able to manage to play with some consistency until the end of the season.

Seems it comes down to match day #35: Barcelona vs. Atletico, but in Barcelona. Pretty even game given that there is no audience, but it's most likely the most important match day in La Liga this season.

What do you guys think who'll make it in the end?

Oh, and one more thing is important to keep in mind: in La Liga it is the direct comparison which decides the championship, not the goal difference. Madrid has Barcelona beat, and Atletico won the first leg 1:0.

As you said @LTU_btc - it is daaaaamn hot on the top! Smiley
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance with auto SWAP of ER20 old token is good. on: April 16, 2021, 02:53:26 AM
They just keeps on surprising us.
I also have one coin that I want to get out from my ERC-20 wallet and just waiting for the right moment to be available for a swap.
Binance easily took over everything. It's like they are telling us we don't need to fill our bookmarks with different exchanges and we only need one.  Cheesy
Binance is a game changer and it is the fact. They changed the marketplace and the competition of crypto exchanges in 2017. They broke the domination from Poloniex and Bittrex.

After few months of shilling their BNB token with generous airdrop, they got big support and millions of people switched from Poloniex, Bittrex to Binance. Since 2017, they have never stopped growing bigger and their products are always game-changing.

Quote
I am amazed at how they can manage everything without major errors. From customer support to system maintenance I had never experienced a problem even once.
This is untrue. You can not say Binance exchange is perfect because you love it.

I concur with this. They have always provided exceptional service and their communication was always quick and honest. They deserve to be where they are today!
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we all fools on believing the word "HOLD"? on: April 16, 2021, 02:23:32 AM

So top 10 of my portfolio consist of the following based on my blockfolio.

1) Atlant
2) Edgeless
3) Centra
4) Humaniq
5) Matchpool
6) Lunyr
7) KIN
8.) FUEL
9) SONM
10)NPXS

Please tell me if I should still expect I will be profitable or just give up now already.

KIN and NPXS, these are the coins has pumped in then bull run, I hope you already enjoy the profit and you don't miss the updates especially the token swap of Pundix (old) to Pundix (new). The rest, maybe they will not pump anymore due to lack of liquidity in an exchange.

That's the thing, a bull run alone isn't enough. You need to detach yourself emotionally from the projects and pull the trigger in order to realize gains. I went through the same process and didn't sell often times when in fact it would have been the only right and rational decision. Then again if you look at BTC was it ever right so far to pull the trigger? Smiley I don't think so, but that's why you need to have a structure according to which you manage your portfolio. And that sometimes means: sell.

It also let's you sleep a whole lot better. Being all in means a lot of mental pressure. I know what I am talking about. Cheesy
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forget bounties and Airdrops on: April 16, 2021, 02:18:59 AM
The biggest money making slot in crypto space is to be

1. a developer
2. build crypto wallets for new projects
3. find bugs in the system of many new projects

yes some paid for security breaching and all that stuff, rendering professional services is the best way to make money in crypto space now
You probably do not understand why people are participating in bounty campaigns. At first, they still believe that hype will come back and every altcoin will moon. Secondly, they are used for this job and do not want to learn new ones. I do bounty campaigns because I meet both criteria   Cheesy.

sometime, people believe on them although they dont give that much. and doing something easy is great than try hard todo the other confusing ways. start learning and do some news is better, because you can take all stuff you need and make it easy

You are right of course with the three points you mentioned, but let's face it not everybody is a programmer or a coder and for all those three things you need to have certain qualifications.

Bounty and airdrops allows those without such qualifications to also get involved and participate in the revolution. I think that is great and leads to a win win situation for both those who can code and those who can't code.
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: April 16, 2021, 02:17:01 AM
Very simple: all earnings on "black"! Tongue No, you are right because the bull run turns out to be so valuable even for minor income in BTC that it is worth holding onto some of the earnings for sure. When you say "trading" are you a day trader? That is also a kind of gambling I would say.
Too many discussions about trading and gambling about its differences and similarities. Having that said, you're right that with small amount of btc that were accumulated became larger these days.
Knowing that bitcoin has reached to $64k and then became $62k later which is still another all time high that has been reached.

We will then see the $70k soon but $100k is really possible, the bullishnesh of the market this season is way bigger compared to the past and I think to be more optimistic too that $100k is possible. For my earning, I don't really hold or accumualte now, I spent it since it does not fit with my principle to accumuate at bull run even if I only earn it, still considered it as accumulation.
No question about $70k and $100k. They will come eventually and that's really possible to be seen, maybe after a few months. Can't really compare to the past bull runs.
This is I guess the best of the best in terms of pricing but haven't looked the comparison of the other past bull runs in terms of percentage.

You can read a lot of numbers out there. Some experts say it can easily go to a million, but you also have those who say it will go to zero. I am 100% confident it will never go to zero. Tongue Smiley
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB hits record high at $638 today. Will Standard Protocol be the next BNB? on: April 16, 2021, 02:14:33 AM
I played with my BNB, bought at $7 and sold off at $13 and bought back at $14 and sold off at $21, looking back today, I should have done my mathematics very well to see the problem with EtH network. The problem with the ETH network is giving Bnb a booming season because of its off-chain scaling. I have just staked my leftover BnB.

I also played around too much with my holdings in the past, buying and selling back and forth. I wish I just leaned back, feel asleep and woke up 3 years later out of a sudden. Cheesy
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum to 100k? on: April 16, 2021, 02:13:28 AM
It is not possible for Ethereum to be 100k in the near future. Even after the 2023 bitcoin halving, it is very difficult. Maybe in 10 years, however. First of all, it needs to clear the congestion in the Ethereum network.

The congestions is totally nerve wrecking right now, it freaks me out. The transactions costs are so high there is no point in touching addresses with just a few ETH in them. I hope they can somehow fix that rather sooner than later.
128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you limit your gambling time? on: April 16, 2021, 02:08:21 AM
This is about how do you make sure that you are gambling in full control. There are many people who are easily brought into gambling beyond fun and that is a problem for them and also for the gambling industry, because it is for them that there are limitations in many countries.

Do you actually...
- Have a weekly budget to play and do not ever go over it?
- Not ever get in debt for gambling?
- Have an allocated time for gambling and never exceed it?
- Gamble only socially with friends of relatives?
- Have someone helping you control your gambling?

Yes, I only gamble atleast 5% of what I could earn every week and only 5%. Why? There are tons of investments that are way better to spend your money onto than spending it on a luck-based satisfaction. Since I only settled and disciplined myself with such limit allocated for gambling, I never had any debt just on my gambling activities. Since I already disciplined myself in overall gambling activities, then yes I only have allocated time for it, but no I would still love to gamble with strangers as you can know and experience how others would strategize.

I wish I could always stop when I wanted Cheesy but it's fun and when you have a great run you don't feel like stopping even though you maybe should.

Lol I know that feeling. Especially when you play poker it feels like you can't stop. The thrill when you reach a final table is just so amazing and the offering on Pokerstars or other website is essentially endless. It's also somehow relaxing, enjoying the weekend having a beer or so and just playing a couple of poker tables online. Tournaments are also great on the weekends and they do sometimes offer life changing money.

The problem with poker is that you are investing a ton of time, you can't just stop and walk away after 6 hours if you are still in the game. In other words, what's tempting about poker also forces you to really spend a lot of time. As long as you don't have family and kids or an extremely demanding job it isn't a problem, but otherwise poker is almost no serious option anymore.

I know that some here might argue poker is no gambling. Smiley

How does halving even matters for litecoin when charlie lee himself thinks this
https://toshitimes.com/charlie-lee-thinks-about-increasing-litecoins-max-supply/

Would it even be possible for him to make that happen? Wouldn't the large majority of miners have to agree?

If there is even serious discussion of Litecoin or any other Crypto including Bitcoin, getting rid of the 21 million limit, I will cash out to USD ASAP.

I mean, if that is the case, the jig is up and crypto is simply being manipulated like the usd currency by the Federal Reserve.

Again, I'd be so out so fast into USD.

That doesn't really answer my question, but what fo you think if LTC would increase its supply significantly?

I thought I was kinda obvious my last post. This would be as they say, " A very, very bad thing' Sad

It would be Litecoin's Death, for most folk in HODL mode, it would destroy Litecoin.

Without a 'firm amount of Litecoin' and, by increasing the Litecoin coin capacity firm ceiling on the amount of Litecoin over 21 million, well, Litecoin would be no more!

I'd dump it all on finding such out the same day.

Folks would probably then go back to Bitcoin with a 21 Million Cap on Coin. No one is that stupid to hold a pow coin, where they raise the coin cap after the fact!

This would be bad. Very Bad. Sad

Brad

I agree with you, but still I thought it is probably impossible to increase the supply because you would have to convince the miners. That's unlikely since they would have to undermine their own business to some degree.

That would be on top of the other LTC Miner difficulties of well, of course, the hash-rate difficulty that eventually kills their dream and then, of course, the halving..which rips out the

LTC Miner's heart every 4 years.

You add on doubling the amount of coin allowed to exist, there would not be enough microwave towers for the miners to jump off of! (Just saying: This would be a

a bad thing, increasing the amount of coin, 'cheat' changing the rules in the middle of the game after years, folk would beyond freak out!

Exactly, it is a little bit similar to the Bitcoin rollback that CZ from Binance proposed when they got hacked. However, I saw a video about that and it was said that that rollback would have never been possible in reality.

Honestly, I think this is just a click-bait of toshtimes.com. In the interview Charlie Lee said the following:
Quote
It’s hard to say what will happen when it starts reaching the limit. Right now, the coin is working, Bitcoin and Litecoin are working because the mining reward is paying for the security… When you rely on fees and if the fees aren’t enough because the block size is constrained, then what happens? The security will drop. Is it better to have some small inflation every year and have that fixed and have that pay for the security or can transaction fees pay for security?

That is, we are talking about the time when 64 (if I read the LTC sources right) halvings have occured which is when the block reward goes to 0 and is not halved anymore:
https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin/blob/master/src/validation.cpp#L1164-L1167:
Code:
    int halvings = nHeight / consensusParams.nSubsidyHalvingInterval;
// Force block reward to zero when right shift is undefined.
    if (halvings >= 64)
return 0;

As this is only the 3rd halving coming up now, we have 60 to go, which translates roughly to 96 years to until reward is 0.

Honestly, I couldn't care less about that timeframe.

(All assuming my first grade math above are not completely off the rails, feel free to correct me if I made a stupid error in my calculations)

It looks correct, but the more interesting maths would be to see how much LTC needs to be taking into account technology and required network growth factors in order to cover the mining costs from the block reward + transaction fees.

The GNETs we have allocated for project financing will be used in payments. Because GNET has Bitcoin equivalent. (refund price is minimum value)

If you need that liquidity for payments and a lot of people decide to ask for a refund, what would be the consequences for the project?

on what exchange will the coin be sold ?  what exchange did you agree on?

Hello and thank you for the question,

Currently, we have developed our own exchange at https://tradebtc.eu where XOR pairs are listed already but trading is halted until the 3 rounds of ICO through https://projects.daicore.io/oracolxor will complete on August 31st 2019. In the same time we are looking to list on a larger top exchange and as we speak we are in contact with P2PP2B for a possible listing deal for September 1st 2019 as well.

For more info on the platform you can visit the main site at https://oracolxor.io

Can you provide liquidity on your exchange? Because when searching your domain via similarweb you has almost no visits. And without visits your project is not needed by anyone and you will end up like other exchanges earlier. Simple platform closure.

If they don't have plans how to attract lots of liquidity to their platform the whole business will fail. When it coms to trading it is all about liquidity and there are already a lot of exchanges with lots of volume.
All the exchanges start from somewhere bro..you should pay attention to the security features iit offers for the main trading pairs . Multisig is kick ass if you ask me .And why so bitter? Any particular reason ?

I am not bitter at all, I just see quite a few exchanges that try to launch their business these days but they can't gain traction because they lack liquidity. Liquidity pulls in more liquidity. If you take Binance for example, a lot of new traders will just go there (if they can and are not blocked). So you need something that is really convincing. At the same time stronger decentralized exchanges are being built as we speak. Again, not saying nobody should try to establish another exchange, but it won't be easy to do! Smiley
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡BQT - SOCIAL P2P CRYPTO EXCHANGE AND HEDGE TRADING PLATFORM ⚡ on: July 03, 2019, 09:41:54 AM
Doing effective marketing on social media is tough as there is tons of information and you need to stand out somehow.
That is right. So of a certain project just like this, the BQT, they need to have one that hold a special feature that really stands out among other promotional strategies, which people will get easily attraction onto them. By that, they could kick it out and make them boost their pace.

Having something that goes viral is of huge advantage, but yes, it is not easy to just do something that goes viral with certainty. Sometimes there is also a little bit of luck involved.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POW]VIAT & Sentivate Network Universal Web Mainnet SOON on: July 03, 2019, 09:40:59 AM

Another great interview from the Sentivate team, I highly recommend everyone check it out and also to check out their other interviews they have had in the past few months. This is what I like to see in a team that is willing to do interviews explaining what their project is all about and helping people understand what the team are trying to achieve with Sentivate.

I have a question for the team and that is will the team be attending any Blockchain conferences in the near future to speak and share the Sentivate project with the world?

Building a vibrant community is key to any project in the cryptocurrency sector. Part of that is explaining what your goals are and how you want to achieve them. That's why I like those interviews.

I agree mate, Sentivate have done a great job at building a community and also involving the community in discussions. Cloudflare went down earlier today and that is why we need Sentivate more then ever because the internet is very sick and Sentivate can help fix that if the team can achieve their goals.

Right but still quite a long way to go for Sentivate as well, hope they can pull it off in the end.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PRE-ICO] 👓Vision Banker👓 An app for taking care of people’s eyesight on: July 03, 2019, 09:40:07 AM
Has a chance to really explode if you get partnerships with big eye care brands.

There can be possible collaboration with well known eyewear brands like Rayban and Gucci, and yes, that can be big!

It won't be simple to convince those brands to collaborate with a blockchain project I believe. I would expect them to be quite hesitant if they are approached by a technology startup of this kind.

But I won't be shocked if they agree. You didn't expect big time companies such as AT&T, JP Morgan, Facebook, Walmart, etc. to get into cryptocurrency and finally realize how great blockchain technology is. It didn't happen right away, but its only a matter of time before blockchain will be utilized by everyone out there.

They're fixing a problem that hasn't been fixed for generations, I always don't have my previous information about my eye grade and I only make a lucky guess.

Thanks for sharing, HodlerKing! That's what we're changing here in VisionBanker. We use blockchain to store people's eyesight data. We will basically allow users to track their progress, by forecasting their future possible eyesight characteristics, and by providing them with the opportunity to get special types of insurance and purchase eyewear preselected for their eyesight characteristics and face shape.

Not saying that I am pessimistic about it, just the standard hurdles to overcome and as you say other heavyweights also decided to get on board. At least this project aims at doing something very different from many others.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ✅[ANN] DeepOnion ONION New Private Currency ✅ Own ONION Now & Discover Privacy ✅ on: July 03, 2019, 09:38:30 AM
Two years already...time is moving fast.
The market is started to wake up, I expect to see price upward movement later this year.
DeepSend is coming guys Cool
Yes, DeepOnion price will rise inevitably following bitcoin and the market. And DeepSend, made at the right time, will not allow the price to fall hard during the subsequent rollback
Yeah, regarding the price, it is important that Deep Onion is listed on many exchanges and that volume seems to be picking up lately, which is a good sign.
Few days of trading with 100K$+ volume and we will see Deep Onion at 10.000 Satoshi  Wink

Persistence is the key I think, because a lot of projects remain under the radar for quite a while, but you have to keep going.
Yeah, some projects just end up without funds, though. People can miscalculate the duration of the bear market, for example, and spend up all the coin's funds before they realize it. I'm glad DeepOnion still has funds to give to developers and for other activities.

To stay solvent is easier said than done, especially when you keep most of your funds in crypto. A lot of projects went bust I suppose during the bear market because they just didn't expect such a prolonged downturn.
DeepOnion is worth hodling. Lots of stuffs that will assure a crypto works to change lives.

I agree but many set out to do the same. It will be a hard race and in the end it shouldn't be forgotten that many can of course co-exist. Let's see where DO finds its place Wink
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Global Network Token-GNET-First crypto currency offering a refund option on: June 30, 2019, 11:12:49 PM
What will be the result of projects that are constantly losing value?

With the price fluctuations we have experienced today, our project will be a leading project for the crypto money market.

However, no one supported the project we created to find solutions to the price decreases experienced today.

We expect support from investors with the solutions we have brought to the important problems of the crypto currency world.

Question: If the GNET price moves away from the ico price, how will you avoid price fluctuations?

Answer: Our key goal is to show the profitability of the project by raising the refund price.

We are making an update about the economic system we created. In the classical approach, early purchases are given a bonus during the ico stage. We've found a way to give a bonus without breaking the refund system.

Our new sales system:

8,000,000 GNET -> 0.00013 BTC
8,000,000 GNET -> 0.00014 BTC
8,000,000 GNET -> 0.00015 BTC
8,000,000 GNET -> 0.00016 BTC
8,000,000 GNET -> 0.00017 BTC

In this way, early purchases can be encouraged without a reduction in targeted revenue.

All this makes zero sense because what is the point of selling tokens if you guarantee a refund option? Where does the money come from that you use to pay for operating expenses?
