Nice ideas! Keep up with the good work!

I have sent it in already... though in my experience they usually don't do much without contact from someone involved in the production or compilation of the software.  :/

AVG Research Lab has analyzed the file(s) you have sent from your AVG Virus Vault. Below you can find the results for each file. The final verdict on the file is either a correct detection or a false positive detection.

Further information about the verdicts are available at our website:
http://www.avg.com/faq-1184

"c:\Users\Chris Howie\Desktop\bfgminer-2.5.1-win32\pdcurses.dll" - detection is correct

Yeah, that's more or less what I expected.
Actually, on further thought, it is possible that file could be infected (though very unlikely). It is an exception to my general "compile everything" policy - I just used their official DLL binary.

Anyhow, here's what I sent to AVG:

One of my users is reporting that AVG insists my software is a virus, even after sending to you for review. Please correct your procedures to actually do proper checking and not flag innocent software.

The flagged file is pdcurses.dll, which I am using the official Windows binary distributed at:

http://voxel.dl.sourceforge.net/project/pdcurses/pdcurses/3.4/pdc34dllw.zip

If this official binary is indeed infected, please provide evidence so that it is removed from SourceForge (a highly respected software website).

In the meantime, want to see if it detects one I compile myself?
http://luke.dashjr.org/tmp/code/pdcurses.dll
e8bc66188d8f0503a5850bb11340e0eb8d60491a827ce27add2b460b65096780  pdcurses.dll

I still get the virus warning from AVG when I downloaded 2.8.0. But your compiled version didn't have the virus.

I uploaded the file to https://www.virustotal.com/file/94995b0560d2ccda7951252397eb152b499454746b75d03479bbfa551def41e4/analysis/ and 9/41 found the virus.

I tried downloading http://voxel.dl.sourceforge.net/project/pdcurses/pdcurses/3.4/pdc34dllw.zip and scanned it with AVG and no virus found... hmm...

All the deposits has been added and the withdraws has been sent out.

I just got a very angry email threatening to drive to my home and take his/her money from me if I didn't send them. I don't take lightly to threats, and I sure as help don't every want anything to do with the person once I found out who it was. Threats are not okay on any level, This is why I didn't want to give out my ID, I have been nice to you guys, I have been fair and I have been honest. I have always done my best and I hoped that you trusted me, things have been hard but we have gotten out easier them most people look at HK, look at IMSAguy, the reason why we are not in the shitter is because I told you the whole story and we could avoid further liquidity squeeze, if you don't agree with my decisions THEN FACE ME, I am here, I am always here. I am open for disscusion please do question my decisions, do question my logic and morals, but never ever try to threaten me again.

There will be no weekly report tonight, I am no longer in the mood for it... some of the details is already in the log book, more details will be given tomorrow in the weekly report.

//DeaDTerra

Lots of us quiet ones are sticking with you DT. A pox on the house of those who make threats Cheesy You are a cool guy and do not deserve such treatment.
I know Smiley
Most of you guys are nice and cool, i just have to make a statment because now that I have given up my anonymity I can't have these kind of people coming after me, it won't work.
//DeaDTerra

Yea I understand, anonymity is important for such reasons. But that person is just embarrassing themselves. If necessary I authorize the use of funds to move you to a secure facility guarded by a team of special ops commandos Cheesy We will get you the DT Secret Service.

Sounds nice =) I'm with DeaDTerra, you are a nice and trustworthy guy!

Please give me some feedback regarding the infeastructure changes Smiley
What's good, what's bad?

On another note, if anyone on the withdraw list would accept shares instead of liquid BTC contact me.
//DeaDTerra

Hi, I think this is a nice change, but how will you keep track on the long term and short term investors?

I think I will be a long term investor when/if this changes take effect.
130  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Bitcoin Wallet for Android on: August 16, 2012, 07:01:32 AM
Is it only me or do we always have to pay the transaction fee when sending BTC?

I sent 0.0212 BTC and couldn't send without a fee =(
Isn't it suppose to be without a fee if sending more than 0.01 BTC?
131  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Any GLBSE app for android yet or coming? on: August 13, 2012, 06:54:43 PM

132  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Bitcoin Wallet for Android on: July 24, 2012, 06:54:10 AM
Is this patent a threat to the QR code function in Bitcoin Wallet?

If Australia has something like prior art, this patent will be invalid (at least the payment part of it).

I hope so...
