paying upfront to you directly won't do.. there's nothing stopping you from running away with the loot and selling your account discreetly. people usually use escrow for these kind of stuff.
I know, but I can't use escrow for 3 months.. then it's better for me to join a signature campaign with 2x higher rate than this. I'm sure that someone who is interested will at least trust me  0.5 BTC is a lot more than what your account is worth. Nothing prevents you from running away with the money after you get paid upfront, buy another account with half of it and then enroll in a campaign. |

Useful piece with good summary, the OP is clearly biased in favor of Ethereum but manages to put ina fe line about the negatives so points for that. The name is not Charles Hopkins, btw. It made me laugh  In my opinion, the way that the funds were drained, a competent team of people could have done much more. A few google tech's could put together what Ethereum wish to offer on a budget 10x less and produce 10x more.
That's not to say that Ethereum are a scam, just that it is incredibly insulting to suggest that after a year and multi-million pound donations, they are asking for more.

Just about the policing of accounts - couldn`t it be done based on the user`s ip address? Allow 1 account per ip address, and don`t allow it to change.
What happens when you are travelling, or your ISP switches IP, or you move, or you switch your ISP, or you want to stay hidden over VPN or tor, or .... you get the idea? Its impossible to do this way. |

didn't you know that posting with another account outside of meta while you're still banned counts as ban evasion? No I unfortunately didn't.. I would be happy at least for 60 days ban, because my previous account was banned for 60 days and there was no ban before this. That 0.26 BTC was my last amount of money in bitcoins, so I basically "invested" it and wanted to get something from signature campaigns..  You got perma banned for ban evasion. I suggest you stay away for 60 days and after that come back and request this account to get unbanned. The staff might decide to do so due to good behavior. EDIT: Ban was solely due to the new owner ban evading, for the second time.
Second ban evasion, I think then you have no chance. |

I've recently received a PM from hilariousandco in which he states that he intents to terminate the campaign because of TappaBit having problems with fraud and are taking down the site.
As a resolution he offered payment for half a month.
I just want to state openly here that I do not think that this is a fair solution, because:
1) The campaign description does not include an early termination clause,
2) if participants agree on early termination, it is not fair to pay them equally with a half rate, instead they should be paid pro-rata based on posts made so far (with 50 post = 100% payment).
I don't think that participants are responsible for a site's operational failure.

Bid increases by 0.08 BTC so this is invalid. The next bid should be 0.51 BTC. He mentioned in a later post. I started it at 0.1 because that is a different post and I am not putting them together k. Also increments must go by 0.08 at lowest
The winning bid was 0.43BTC in the end which is a bargain for a account of this type. It seems as the market for accounts is low now. Yes he mentioned it in middle of the thread because OP did not want increase in this thread for 0.01 bids. I followed the rules of this auction and now have an account I wish to claim. But where is the OP? Has not logged in since his last message about revision on increments the bids? Is he going to through with this sale to me? It seems as if he was unhappy with the price and decided not to log in. Sadly for him that is not how an auction works. If he now backs out he will deservedly get negative feedback. This auction its still active?
