Exactly, these prices allow us to accumulate, I've been picking up blocks of 30 - 40 XC at a time below 160k so I am also expanding my empire  These blocks are sold so cheap by people who need to free up BTC for jumping on clonecoin hypetrains only to get burned. I know this because I was once like this, and I still see it happening around me, but I guess we all need to learn the hard way. At the moment there are only three coins I feel are safe to invest in / to hold and not be phased by either price spikes or pricedrops, those are BTC, LTC and XC. And I am not even accumulating BTC and LTC anymore. I started out the same way. Jumping coin to coin trying to ride the pump train, but I was always too late. Any time you see one of those P&D in excess of 100% value increase it's already to late. You almost have to be able to access markets 24 hours a day to be successful at it, and I just can't do that. I'd rather stick my funds into coins that will have bright futures (potentially), and XC just seems like a sure thing....if people would just practice patience. I agree with you about there only being three coins that are safe investments. XC, BTC, and my third is different then yours . |

Same happening here...since I updated the wallet all my stake went unconfirmed, not accepted.
This problem was from PoS mining with the old wallet (1.9.4). I have yet to see any on 1.9.6 - "Expected time to earn reward is 22 day(s)." LOL I got my first one yesterday under the new wallet. |

any good news from dev? because volume is very low and price is very stupidly cheap..
Price is being heavily manipulated, everytime we reach above 175k someone dumps us back to around 160k. Sit tight and hold on to your coins. XC is the best coin out there, it has delivered everything other coins claim to have or "will implement' in shoddy whitepapers or by using shill accounts hyping them. XC at the moment is severly undervalued and whales keep suppressing the price. Don't get tricked into selling. I am sure behind the scenes there is a massive PR campaign being set up for XC, together with sponsorships and other things that are still top secret but that will be huge. Stand fast+1. Totally agree with you. I've been buying in little chunks for a week straight now (anywhere from 10-50 at a time). I sell other positions as I build my XC empire (not really but it sounded good). |

everyday more and more good news for xc but the chart is still drunken  Just use this time to acquire cheap coins. That's what I've been doing all week. A little here and there....just adding to my stash. |

Guys,
in a couple of recent posts people claim that they are now staking / receiving interest. I thought POS would not come live until the fork after block 59knnn. I'm on the latest, patched, wallet since it has been released, am unlocked and 'ready' to stake but nothing is happening for 24hrs or so. For me that was as expected yet the posts claiming staking is alive again are now confusing / concerning me . Any comments ?

I went almost two weeks without staking. Got my first (and second) stake today. It took more than 24 hours of having my wallet open too after the last patch. I'd say just give it some time. Difficulty skyrocketed so it may depend on how many coins you have staking at the moment. I updated to the new wallet yesterday. Received 10 stakes on 7/10, but all of them remain unconfirmed (0 of 4 confirmations). I keep my wallet open 24/7, and I've confirmed I'm on the right block (58032 at the time of this posting). |

XCurrency is the first alt that I actually feel comfortable owning, and I don't find myself worrying about the price. I'm sure this will be the sentiment of many people in the very near future. Trust in the altcoin world is pretty much non-existent. Once you think you can trust a coin and/or the devs, you get burned. One too many burns, and investors start to lose faith. Personally.....I'm tired of trying to play the ups and downs of the market. I'm tired of rolling the dice on the next alt release hoping that I can salvage my losses from another coin. I'm tired of the constant pump & dump coins that never recover.
I actually got burned BADLY on another coin, which led me here. I basically was looking to salvage what I had left and wanted a coin that I didn't have to watch 24/7. Something with a potential to grow. A coin with a development team that isn't completely anonymous (transparency will turn out to be very important) and an impeccable and appropriate background. A coin with a development plan and one that delivers.
If you're tired of all the games, P&D's, scams, empty promises and just hundreds of garbage coins and clones.........My friends.......XCurrency is the answer. XCurrency has restored my faith and interest in alt-coins once again.

I know everyone's a little anxious for the release, but while we're waiting, I just wanted to take a minute to say that we have a great community here. I've been involved with cryptocurrency for well over a year now, and I never had a reason to join the bitcointalk forum or to get too heavily involved with a project. I could do my research, make my decisions, tend to my regular life, etc. It wasn't until XC came out that I felt the need to actually take action and become a part of things.
I'm here because I see great potential. XC isn't like any of the other coins here, and trust me, I've mined and researched a majority of them. Anyone who's been here from the start knows this, that XCurrency is quite different from the rest. The opportunity to be involved with something like XC is rare. In short, I'm glad to be a part of this community with you all, and I'm looking forward to where it is we're going.

We have access to the XBCplus.com domain host now. Things are being transitioned over. The FUD is rampant. I am not gone, i have RL obligations that were known by everyone. I have made my RL contact info known also. Promote truth !
I'm not even sure there is that much FUD being spread, at least in the forums here. Basically everything negative being said is the same info given out by the two remaining devs. One of which suggested to sell whatever XBC people are holding and just take the loss. And rather than revive the coin, they may be better off making a brand new coin. Interesting timing though, if team members do in fact all of a sudden return. If I was the cynical type, I'd even say it makes perfect sense. Can't say I didn't see this coming....with how they fucked DCM. I hoped it would be different for you guys, but it looks like they did the same thing. I tried to remain on-board of that sinking ship (DCM), and due to poor judgement (and just my refusal to believe that I had been duped by the devs), I lost a lot of BTC. I had 145k coins, and ened up taking a 98% loss. I got out of XBC right away after that fearing it would happen here. Moved on to other coins to try and salvage what I had left. Lost 3 months of profits in 2 weeks........ |

Mmm.. I don't think it's time to burn that bridge. XC's success is drawing people to Cloak looking for value. Plus, XC is focused on "Internet 2.0", where as cloak is focusing on Onemarket. So no reason why we can't live in harmony for the medium term Yes... but if XC didn't exist.. that would be our market cap. If we had that MC and hit the fork issue we are experiencing now it would be absolute carnage. They better hope for a smooth release of REV 2 now because if it's a dud they're fahked! If it's smooth they will explode further, hopefully taking us with them if this fuking fork is fixed and get on with PoSA. What a shitty day. I like both coins and am invested in both. No reason they both can't succeed. |

Wow xc taking a real beating. Quite surprised how low it dropped. Likely many panic sellers.
Man....if people panic sell XC, what do they do with ALL the other alt coins out there? XC has a solid dev team, that has provided solid results. Fuck chasing these other smoke & mirror coins. |

all these news incoming and volume are very low, whats going on? The price is cheap but few people are buying, I read many has been burnt with the last dump, and now are pretty scared to invest again in XC. It could be this the problem?

Congrats HMY on weathering the storm of FUD from the DCM devs. I'd just like you to know that they turned out to be crooks. They tanked the coin (yesterday it was selling at 200 satoshi, from the IPO offer of 10,000 satoshi). They locked the ANN thread twice. They tried to sensor concerned investors. They never responded to PMs. They closed down their website, and basically ran away with 22 BTC each. A lot of fake promises and no real development. They've moved on to scamming others with new coins. Stay away from that piece of shit. Stay away from XBC (2 of their devs were devs for DCM), and just stay away from anything associated with those assholes. Their names will be associated as SCAMMERS forever. Good luck with everything here. You guys seem to have an active and real legit dev here.
Thank you for kind words. We haven't checked that thread in a while, but have seen it the market on Bittrex, sad to see that happen. We won't be walking away from this coin anytime soon, we'll be giving our best shot to build it up. Been going solid for now, nice market staying pretty consistent. Good man....glad to hear. Thanks, Daniel Community Manager where all these new people coming from ? Well.....I was looking for a coin I could just put some BTC into, that I wouldn't have to watch every day. I was looking for another long-term investment option (besides BC & VTC). After getting scammed pretty hard in DCM, I sold off my holdings for cents on the dollar, but took what I could recover from that fiasco and invested it all in XC. Also because of 2 of the devs association with XBC, I sold off my 500 coins, and put that completely into XC. So that's how I got here! i picked up around 60 k of DCM today for like nothing, hoping they go back up. That's probably my DCM that I unloaded this morning. |
