121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCP] Counterparty - Pioneering Peer-to-Peer Finance - Official Thread on: July 25, 2014, 04:57:44 PM
hello, could I have a help. I was sending bitcoins from counterparty wallet to get storj ipo  and the computer stuck and I had to restart the computer. After restarting computer when i logged on again and  there was no transactions pending, no bitcions and and no storj , what should i do? Did i lose the money? Please help!

most probably your send succeeded, but you don't receive yet storjcoin. Please check the address with blockchain.info and blockscan.

Please do not check with blockscan, at least until I get the daemon running again. The latest update due to the CFD has broken my install even after attempting to install pip. Any assistance is of course appreciated

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "C:\counterpartyd_build\dist\counterpartyd\counterpartyd.py", line 21, in <module>

    return u'<p>%s</p>' % escape(self.description)

EDIT: Actually I see you're on windows. I'll have instructions soon for that. Assuming you already tried to rerun the setup script? Add me on Skype "xnovaxcp", and I can work with you interactively to resolve.

Try the following:

counterpartyd only, if using the build system manually (assuming that counterpartyd_build is installed into your home directory):
sudo ~/counterpartyd_build/env/bin/pip install --upgrade -r ~xcp/counterpartyd_build/dist/counterpartyd/pip-requirements.txt

If running a federated node:
sudo ~xcp/counterpartyd_build/env/bin/pip install --upgrade -r ~xcp/counterpartyd_build/dist/counterpartyd/pip-requirements.txt
sudo ~xcp/counterpartyd_build/env.counterblockd/bin/pip install --upgrade -r ~xcp/counterpartyd_build/dist/counterblockd/pip-requirements.txt

I figured this out... at last

Flask requires at minimum Python 3.3 and above. However, the minimum requirements prior to this was python 3.2 as per the counterparty install docs. I had to reinstall with 3.3 and it worked

I would recommend updating the docs to reflect this and also with new download links to the pre-reqs on the docs page

Cheers

Hi guys, counterwallet will be going down for about 30 minutes, while we rebuild the counterblockd database. This is necessary to fix some balance bugs that certain users were getting.

EDIT: cw01 rebuild has completed. Counterwallet balance issues should be resolved now.

Has the message signing compatibility issue in Counterwallet with BitcoinQT been fixed in the latest release ?

124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storjcoin X (SJCX) - A Coin for Decentralized Cloud Storage on: July 21, 2014, 05:14:36 AM
Will the farming rewards be based on a pos kind of reward system or is this irrelevant?

If it is the latter then the incentive to invest more is not applicable if one could mine as many while holding 1 sjcx vs someone who has invested more

Also if there was never any intention to hit the 9800 btc target a time based crowd sale would have been a better option, IMHO.. Just like what counterparty did

125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storj - Decentralized Storage on: July 19, 2014, 01:00:15 PM
Is there a wallet to store StorJ Coins locally? Do they need to be kept on Counterwallet?
You can just keep them in your bitcoin address without loading the privet key in counterwallet and then you can store it locally.

Seems like you can't get the priv key out of the Counterwallet anyway. Why is that? You can backup the wallet but that's about it.
How would you send StorjX with a BTC address on a local client?

You can of course get the private key out of counterWallet ...

All it takes is 3 clicks after logging in  Cheesy

I want to buy storj but not use the counterwallet, is it possible?

You'll need counterwallet to access your SJCX.

But if you want to buy today, you can use a regular bitcoin address you own and access the SJCX later with whatever counterparty wallet by importing/sweeping its privkey. Just send the BTC with you regular address to the crowdsale address.
Alright thanks buddy.
I don't really trust counterparty after they got hacked and people lost their money even though they said it was supposed to be safe.

The XCP exploit issue was quickly patched and almost all of those effected were compensated by the counterparty developers. As with any new protocols there are always risks.

As for buying with a regular Bitcoin address, yes you can but do take note that the QT client lacks coin control and the outputs can (might) come from multiple addresses which in this case would require you to sweep from multiple addresses.

Cheers

Hello I'm newbie, Marbella, Spain, is the first time I am forging. I like FIMKrypto; D

Something I'm doing wrong insurance because it is not normal about 48 hours and no ne forging earned any block. > (

I upload an image, I have to also say that I have not generated any token, since no. It is due to Token?

Help us or leave forging unfortunately.

I started very well but I did three block stopped, take two days and nothing.
Hola.

600 forged is OK for your amount.
Try to forge at night - the rate is higher than during the day time.

Well I am running into forging issues too. It was working well until I transferred around 10% of coins out to another wallet and after that it has not forged a block in the last 3 days (since the transfer)

Is forging a block heavily dependent on FIM balance or have there been changes to the Nxt algo because of the POS Reward?
While the algorithm changed slightly in some places, the outcome is still the same.
The more FIM you have the more blocks you make.
Is forging also dependent on the number of clients you have open? Meaning, if you are logged in with one FIMK account but with multiple browser windows open will this enhance your chance for forging a block?

That would be nice  Cheesy
But no sorry that's not how it works.

 Grin

Btw, why is it that I see my dashboard with a "200" forged balance and after the next block the balance is reset to zero?

Launch will be late tonight GMT time, lots of things to do still for genesis block and we need the DGEX stakeholder information sorted out to grant their stake to genuine FIMK accounts.

Why not have the coins distributed to the DGEX FIMK account balances instead? And dgex users can then either withdraw, hodl or trade their coins?

I am having signature problems with http://blockscan.com/assetInfo.aspx?q=SOYBEANS
Any idea how to start debugging this?

To go with http://www.gofundme.com/7ElementsSoy I want to sell 50,000 lbs of IA2053 food grade soybeans (tofu beans) for November/December delivery using counterparty, and let speculators take the risk on commodity price fluctuations.

But I have to be able to explain to people what that asset is, and the Counterwallet and blockscan seem like the most user-friendly interface I've seen so far. (for the record, it's also quite a bit better than the windows nonsense I have to use to hedge prices on the chicago board of trade)

Are you the asset owner "13JB28JQKtSp9J8uDtqyKEo8CR7mf6ykmn " and which client are you using for the signature signing? This has been tested with the QT official client

This is from the counterwallet 'sign message' box:
message to sign (no CR/LF, just one line):

I am the owner of 13JB28JQKtSp9J8uDtqyKEo8CR7mf6ykmn

signed message, base64:

signed message, hex:

I have just verified that there is an issue with the counterparty wallet for message signing due to the bitcore js.

So until this is fixed you will need to sign outside using bitcoinqt or blockchain wallet

I am unable to verify the signed message above in bitcoinQT. If anyone else here has a copy of bitcoinQT running can you please check to see if you can verify the signature above?

I have sent Xnova a PM

Hi mtbitcoin!

It looks like Blockscan is no longer parsing blocks as of today June 9, 2014 at 10:20PM GMT?

Are you okay to check and let me know if this is the case? I'm not sure, but I've had 2 folks ask me today.

This has been resolved with the latest patches

Thanks

It has been given a release by customs in Amsterdam (both PSU and miner).
