121  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Seed phrase backup against natural disaster areas on: April 09, 2024, 09:14:51 AM

The only way is to use Cloud backup in other to completely avoid data loss during any disaster .

Cloud backup storage is an online backup that is used  for storing of data base in case of any environmental disaster.
Cloud backup also has its own risk  but trusting it means proper enycption of the seed phrase before storing puts it at a lower risk because it's always targeted .

It is important that any computer  system that you use to view your seed phrase should be free from malware .

Cloud storage is bad, I strongly advise anyone not to use this, do you know why hardware wallets prevail over everything? It's because of their offline capability, even if your cloud storage is very strong, you strengthening your recovery seed online makes it the stupidest decision still.

There are different types of malware, or let me say that there are different levels to malware, some are so sneaky that your security and anti-malware might not be able to pick them up or identify them.

It is an unnecessary risk, and it's not worth it IMO, the biggest data losses in the world happens through cloud storages, they are not as secured as they seem, Being open source is far from cloud storage companies, how will you know if you can trust the company itself and its workers? Haven't you heard about inside jobs?
122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Story of my life on: April 09, 2024, 07:25:56 AM
The whole idea of casinos is been built on people's desperation, desires, and greed, and thats why casinos will always be the real winners.

People like looking for answers where there are none, that's so unfortunate, so the less you become interested the better as a gambler that you are, the money you will risk when you are less interested will surely be lower compared to finding answers to why you aren't winning, risking your money over and over.

If we can all accept that gambling favors the casinos more, we will all limit our desires and greed in gambling, I have experienced something like this too but I strongly believe that this is the way it should be, this is how gamblers should gamble in the first place.

Unfortunately, it's all wired to take more from addicted gamblers than the responsible gamblers, it's a matter of choice.
123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we really need to blame fraudsters on: April 09, 2024, 06:08:30 AM
I disagree with the vibe of the op because I think victim-blaming is generally a bad practice. It's easy to criticize in hindsight, and it's natural to blame the victims because we want to think that we're doing something better and that's why we won't become such victims. But ultimately, the victims are just that, victims. They should not be blamed for what happened to them, and both legal and moral blame is on the scammers.
That doesn't mean we shouldn't try to educate ourselves, be careful with our finances, and be aware of scammers. But everyone makes mistakes, and it's a part of life. Not everyone, however, chooses to prey on vulnerable people and steal their money one way or another.

I feel the same way too, what is bad should be seen as a bad thing, if we blame the victims it will look like we are saying that scammers are doing the right thing.

If one is scammed the first time, it's acceptable to say that it's the scammer's fault but if it happens again then it's the victim's fault. I know that some scammers have no choice but to scam people due to their hard situations but honestly, it's an excuse to make themselves feel better.

People need to be very careful with money, when it comes to investment they have to put aside their money first and go after all the necessary knowledge needed to be on the right path, the lack of knowledge is the culprit to why many people fall victim to scams.
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mixers and their reason to exist in the bitcoin ecosystem on: April 08, 2024, 09:13:31 AM
Not gonna lie, Mixer is very helpful to me ever since I join the casino signature campaign and earn some Bitcoin because the local exchange the I use frequently to received this funds is very suspicious and doesn’t allowed deposits from casino or from any wallet that has a connection to a crypto casino transaction.

I encounter an issue in the past about this that makes me more cautious and embrace the use of a mixer to hide the trace of gambling activity to my Bitcoin. I stopped using the mixer after the multiple seizes on the popular mixer and decided to use P2P exchange instead.

I've never heard this before, why will any crypto exchange not allow deposits from casinos? I am a gambler too but not so serious about gambling, I have never come across such claims before.

If this is true then it's a valid point to use a mixer, I have always gone against the use of mixers because I don't see any legal reason to use mixers, to me mixers are very fit for criminals but this is your point thus make some sense.

So back to your point, do you have any reasons why the exchange platform doesn't want to get involved with any casino deposits? There must be a very good reason for this, because it looks like they see casinos as money launderers that can get their business into problems someday or they already learned a lesson, can you say more about this? I will wait for a reply.
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good bitcoin security starts with strong PC and mobile device security on: April 08, 2024, 08:14:05 AM
When it comes to securing your bitcoin don't forget about having good basic security practices on your laptop, desktop and mobile devices.

That means always using a VPN whenever connecting to the internet, with a good antivirus and anti-malware software, preferably connecting through your own hardware router.
These viruses and malware can be programmed to steal your personal information including crypto. Of course, you never want to connect to any public Wifi connection without a VPN.

Good basic security is much to ask for, this is something that many people don't know about, in my family alone I am the only one who knows how to keep a PC safe from malicious traps and all my family members do ask me for guidance, I meant every one of them.

This was how I knew that not everyone will have time to learn this things to keep themselves safe when using a PC, the only advice I give them was to never run a crypto wallet on their PC, because I won't always be available to solve their problems, since hackers are getting smarter every day, they might find a better way to steal data from PC at any time.

To be safe with a PC do not keep any information on it, onlg use it to solve the web and do some work that has no connection with money or a bank account because at this rate we can't outsmart getting hacked or getting viruses or other, we can only limit the chances.
126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When is best for a player to draw the line? on: April 08, 2024, 07:13:33 AM
Just for discussions and ways to educate or share knowledge with ourselves when and how to draw the line when gambling,  because for some reasons, some gamblers have arrived at unstable realities because of the lack of stoppage time while gambling so let's talk.
When do you stop?
Some stop gambling immediately the record a big lose, while others continues when they lose with hope of recovering.
Some other gamblers stop playing when the win they first few games, while other continue to chase the loses, and technically ww can tell in accuracy when this things happens, but when is the best time to stop gambling and take a break?

1-when you lose?
2- when you win?

Draw a line when you are not making enough money from your source of income, some gamblers still keep gambling after they lose their jobs or their income goes lower, I don't do this.

If I am having some bad week at work, and I made less amount of money than I used to, I will gladly jump that week, and stay away from gambling until a better week comes, if I am going to gamble in this week it depends on sales from my business.

This is what decides if I am going to gamble or not, that little amount that I am always ready to lose comes from my fashion business, I have to make a certain income in this week for me to be able to gamble.

If I lose or win don't bother me, I do always stop gambling when I hit my last balance or when I win, but I am already very used to this, drawing the line depends on who you are, I think that gamblers will do very well if they get used to risking money that they can actually live without if the lose the money.
127  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies take bitcoin as long term Choice to get the best out of bitcoin on: April 08, 2024, 06:15:34 AM
The long ride is what many people are not prepared for, I bet that those newbies who are borrowing money to invest in Bitcoin will avoid it when they get to know that it's a long-term hold thing to make money from Bitcoin.

Generally, too many people like to make money easier and faster, isnt this the reason why many of them are hooked on gambling? Because the result is faster, like if they fail or win it should be this day, and that's why they lose a lot of money too.

If something is too easy I become cautious because something that should work out for you will never be easy, thats why I dont go out looking for the easy ways, I prefer the hard way, the only way to make money as a Bitcoin investor is to be prepared to hold for a long period.
128  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 2 cold wallets for my crypto assets on: April 07, 2024, 07:13:15 AM
Do not open a fresh account on Tangem and then proceed to import the account into the Ledger wallet, because it seems this is what you are talking about? Ifbyes its a bad idea.

If  one of these wallets get hacked, they are both gone, I will sell the ledger if I were you, since its still unboxed, and keep the tangem, this Tangem wallet as better feature and its open source too, ledger isn't an open source hardware wallet.

A single hardware wallet is enough for any amount of assets you own or plan to own, but if you insist on having two hardware wallet, then replace the Ledger with a Trezor wallet instead.
129  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: why storing trust wallet in a hardware more recommendable than i mobile devices on: April 07, 2024, 06:21:23 AM
While still growing in our crypto investments, lets not pretend of know what we actually don't else it's technically mean that you're playing our with your assets.
I've been hearing about how trust wallet is a good recommendable Wallet for beginners but the wallet must be stored on a hardware storage such as the laptop and the desktop but shitty and risky of stores on the mobile devices such as phone.
What's really the difference in the storage system since it's the same wallet platform?

It's even more risky to have a crypto wallet running on a PC.

You will be worried about viruses, malware, spyware, Trojans, bad links, and many more.

Trust wallet is a closed-source wallet and if you want to use it, they are safer on a mobile phone, keep your seed off the phone though, don't take a screenshot of your seed using the phone.

Spend @$100 on a hardware wallet, go with the open source airgapped ones and you should be fine, hardware wallets keep your assets away from online, which is the biggest threat to any crypto assets.

Both PC and phones aren't as safe as a hardware wallet.
130  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who is buying like me on: April 06, 2024, 08:32:56 AM
Bitcoin Etf approval brought joy to our faces, yes another win for bitcoin, then how much more would the next halving bring,  right now all I'm doing Is buying, I was DCAING gently before, but right now no one hold me, no more gentle buys, cause right now I'm pumped, I'm dancing for the bull run, I wasn't part of the last halving cause just recently started my bitcoin journey and I can't wait to brag about beign one of the next bull run partakers. Start buying 🦾
I think you should keep buying the old ways, Bitcoin is struggling right now and judging from the past price actions, Bitcoin always make a big correction before or after the halving.

The halving could turn to past in few days and Bitcoin will still dump big time, a 30 percent correction is still possible and imagine that you don't have any good money available to buy.

I still believe that the DCA method is very good, if you have to use a lot of money to buy Bitcoin at once it would have been in 2022 and 2023 when 17,000 and 15,000 were happening, but your post was created in January, that was not the lower low where you should have go all in.
131  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Solar Panel Considerations on: April 06, 2024, 07:23:43 AM
S9 comes with 14TH and they take up to 1372 watt from the socket.

Is your solar setup have twice or more f this power?

Also with 14TH you will only earn $1.46 every 24hours mining Bitcoin, for how long is it going to take you to get your money back depends on how much you buy the S9.

Right now you can get a s9 from $204 to $230, do not forget that this miner is profitable today because Bitcoin is over 60k in price, it could look ugly when or if Bitcoin goes down, but if gathering those juicy satoshis is what you care about then its not bad.

Now, for the solar setup, do you think its wise to spend money on solar just to get a s9 running 24/7? Because this will make your ROI to become a long term to achieve, a $230 spent on a s9 will take 140days to make back but if you plan to make the money you spent on solar panels, inverter and betteries with just a S9 it will take like forever to do.

My 1500watt solar setup with 2500 inverter and solar betteries cost me $2000 in 2022, now things are more costly, i don't have information how much it costs today, and to even make this money back with an S9 will take up to 4 years and that's if the profit remains $1.46 per day.
132  Economy / Gambling / Re: Building a unique Plinko game from scratch. What features do you want? on: April 06, 2024, 06:25:42 AM
I understand that KYC is important, but believe me, many have already got upset by seeing this that you will make KYC mandatory. Now in this case they will go to popular casinos where Plinko is already there, rather than giving personal details to a new casino. I am not criticising you, but this is the ugly truth. Moreover if possible add PvP mode in the Plinko game. We gamblers like to compete with other gamblers. So yes it will be really fun if you add this. Good luck with your project OP.

Let them be upset, it's sincerity.

As if KYC can be dodged like a bullet, many new online casinos started as a non-KYC casinos only to end up asking for KYC and this have made many people to hate them, calling them liars.

I still respect this person for saying the truth right from the beginning instead of deceiving us to gather a lot of crowd only to pull the stood from their feet later on.

I know plinko, its a good one, great graphics, superb soundtracks and complex gameplay, but easy to play and also essy to lose money, but my point is how longer can a online casino stays non-KYC? Many have already disappoint gamblers, it does feel like they can't all escape from KYC mandatory.
133  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should newbies invest with small capital in BTC on: April 06, 2024, 05:52:48 AM

Feels good actually to invest and have a saying to have an investment in crypto and not just an ordinary crypto an Apex one to be precise which is way more cooler.

However, there comes a factor to be considered CAPITAL. Capital stands as a major factor to be considered while investing  however coming to the world of crypto and BTC precisely,  I think small capital won't do this considering the current monetary value for BTC.
Remember  the greater the capital the higher the profit and the higher the risk however considering BTC the risk minimal.

So How Much To Invest??

As I've said earlier, investing  little in BTC now won't give you a tangible profit when the profit comes but its advisable to invest 20- 40% of your capital in my opinion .However as a beginner or newbies, you literally know nothing about investing even if you have an idea you are still new to it so it is advisable to start with little amount to understand how the game is being played before considering any percentage  to add in your investment and this should be strictly  done according to your capital.

This is what I think but I know members with investment knowledge and others with more and deep knowledge could have a best saying but according to me this whati have to offer to newbies though I'm also a beginner Smiley.

I have introduced some big investors to Bitcoin and as a beginner they invested a lot of money in Bitcoin, the only warning that I gave them was to never invest any money that they will need in a year and a half.

Since these beginners have good business and they keep making money, it is easier for them to invest a lot of money, I am confident in this action because.

1. They understood the risk.

2. They are not in a hurry to make money.

3. It is Bitcoin.

It's been a year already and they have made good gains on Bitcoin since they bought around 22k, they are waiting for the price action of Bitcoin after the halving to take profits just like I planned too.

The safest investment to introduce to anyone is Bitcoin, just make sure that they understand the risk and are not in a hurry to make money, the biggest issue with beginners is that they want to make money faster.
134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is saving screenshots of useful information and BTC transactions? on: April 05, 2024, 01:58:45 PM
I wouldn’t consider it too safe, to be honest. Especially if your phone isn’t as secure.
Anyone can take your phone, open it, and see your gallery. Anyone can also
hack into our system and see the many transcripts or receipts saved as screenshots.

Tell your friend that it’s not about bad days but instead just a precaution if
ever is something to happen. It’s okay to be on the safer side.
The truth is no phone is 100% secured, and they become even less secure once you unlock the bootloader, meaning that the OEM can't protect your data any longer, but still, even the OEM can't be trusted, all mobile phone companies have their ways of spying on us all.

I don't mind saving screenshots of transactions from one bank account to another bank account because sometimes you need to show proof of transactions to others, but the dangers start with the amount, if in millions of millions then they know.

The biggest problem is taking screenshots of your crypto wallet, or recovery seed, that shit can get uploaded into the cloud, this day that Google will want to back up all your pictures into the cloud, and it's not a safe practice.
135  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am i bad to this friend if i refuse to loan him some money in bad economy on: April 05, 2024, 01:00:56 PM
Whatever happens, always think for yourself first, its not been greedy, the world is so unfair right now and people don't really care about you, even if they ate your friends.

Watch out for people whose only purpose of being in your life is to use you, they don't really care about what's going on in your own life but they want you to be a problem solver for them.

After my father died, his death have revealed so many fake people in his life, whom he thought were good friends and even in the family, it hurt to even think about it and I've made up my mind to never fall into the same category.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My trustwallet of $211,000 has been stolen, any help or advice is appreciated on: April 05, 2024, 10:07:50 AM
At first, I didn't trust you because this is coming from a fresh account but reading even further got me, I nearly asked for you to provide that police report, but now it's not needed.

I am sorry for your losses, this amount is way too big to be stored on a software wallet, these types of crypto wallets are meant to function online, they will always be online, and thats the danger there.

If you can have up to $2000 in BTC or other digital assets then you can afford a hardware wallet, your ETH could be saved today if you choose a $200 Trezor hardware wallet, I started to get worried once I lost all my BTC on a software wallet in 2023 and I purchased a hardware wallet.

I can't sleep at night keeping 200k worth of asset on the Trust wallet, I hope you get help and your fund gets recovered, but take this as a lesson, do not ever let such happen again.
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Would you advise a friend in the same way? on: April 05, 2024, 09:10:33 AM
Is this the wrong advice? A friend of mine took over his father's company because he is so old already and he told me about the money thats available doing nothing in the bank.

I told him to think about investing that money if he wants to keep the company growing, I told him about how MicroStrategy is doing so well using Bitcoin as a strong backbone of the company, I believe that even a small company can turn big if they use Bitcoin as their main investment.

Or am I wrong? I need to know if this advice is a good one or a bad one, I gave him this advice because we are very close and also because I will do the same thing if I am in his shoe, this is the best thing i can think of right now.
138  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Becareful with telegram wallet! on: April 05, 2024, 07:00:07 AM
I have lost access to a few of my old telegram accounts due to the sim going bad or blocked and this means that everything related to that number is gone as well, this is why I hate using my phone number for any account creation, it's always best to use an email address and since Telegram will force phone number on users as the only means of registration then it's a big red flag.

If anything happens to that number, everything bad will happen to the accounts you used the phone number to create.

It's even more crazy now to store your digital coins and tokens on any crypto wallet that relies on your phone number to access, c'mon, that's straight-up stupid, do not use your phone number to create anything online.

Apart from losing the phone number you can be targeted by sim swap attacks too.
139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is lack of proof a problem for you or not? on: April 04, 2024, 09:29:14 AM
Scammers won't be able to pay for licenses and thats a huge point for me, paying for a license is too costly I don't think that they will want to risk that much money because in the end they might not be able to scam as many people as they want.

Also even if they proceed with a licence they can be prosecuted easily if something go wrong, getting a licensse for a new casino means a tight verification from the regulators, they won't be able to escape it, just like how Sam Bankman ended up in a mess even when he had a lot of backers.

It pays to be good and it pays to be bad, the difference is that what you sow is what you will reap.
140  Other / Off-topic / Re: Gambling kills the fun in these two cases on: April 04, 2024, 08:20:15 AM
Hi everyone,

One of the common mistakes in the world of gambling now is that some people run to make quick money and are greedy by betting all their money and trying to make gambling their primary source of income. You find them spending hours in casinos and sites, regardless of their losses, trying to make up for it, and this is what often leads to more Of the losses that may lead them to bankruptcy, and there are also those who make betting the only means of entertainment and spending their  free time, even though they do not care about the size of their losses, they ignore the consequences, as the enthusiasm they find while playing will decrease with the passage of time and the matter will become tasteless..

Do not make gambling your only source of income or your only means of entertainment, as this will eliminate the first goal of gambling, which is pleasure.

Most gamblers are all on the wrong path, they have a wrong idea about gambling, thats why they spend most times doing it over again.

Gambling is not a source of income and it can never be.

You should spend less time in the casino, and if you like to gamble online, know that the less time you spend on the website the better.

The one thing that I am trying to make you avoid is addiction, the way to make money out of gambling is not through addiction, it will destroy you.

There is no doubt that you can't always win when you gambling, ask yourself what is the best solution?

Have a source of income, use small money to risk on gambling, it doesn't promise money making every day, but you can keep spending on gambling every day and it will give you nothing.

The less money you risk on gambling the better and so therefore it's not something reliable, just do it once in a while with the type of money that you are willing to lose.
