I'm always one for a challenge, and proving that I'm not too good at trading myself, I want to come to you, the community, to see if we can turn 1BTC into 250BTC by Christmas 2014.
I know that sounds like a hell of a challenge, however I personally seem to have been in the right place, just selling at the wrong time
(Blackcoin, Cannabiscoin, Guldencoin, Boolberry for just a few examples.)
I'm willing to put up 1 BTC for this, which I prefer to trade on Bittrex / Cryptsy / Mintpal.
So, what I'm looking for are well reasoned suggestions where to invest my 1 BTC.
If I do well from this, then I'm happy to share some of the wealth with whoever I believe has offered the best advice.
If it all goes wrong, then I'll look at it as another learning experience.
Clearly this is a high risk gamble, but hey, who knows how well this could go!
So come on, let's hear your suggestions, and see where we can grow this experiment to!
Turning one btc into 250 by christmas is nearly impossible (it would be like winning the lottery), even with extremly high risk and trading. I would recommend LTC and XMR. But be warned - as there is the opportunity doubling your BTC (or even more) there is also the risk of resulting in 0.1 BTC (or even less). |

Wish I had kept some fiat handy, used all in the last dip to buy up, and didn't sell them. +1 Can some TA expert tell us if bitcoin's going to go up, or down in price? Both. Hope that helped. I'm captivated and the eBook I bought looks really good. I will study EWs (the basics) in the coming weeks/months. Keep this thread alive please. I surely have a lot questions and if you agree I will analyze a few of the past patterns, after my basic studies, and you could correct me where I'm wrong. |

Yes, why are you bears here if you don't believe in bitcoin? To buy cheap bitcoins perhaps?  I'm equally annoyed by both perma-bears and perma-bulls. When I contribute my perspective I hope to get other differing perspectives to evolve my understanding and perspective. There are too many cheerleaders in here for each extreme that do nothing but add noise... qft |

A bear troll is a simplified, exaggerated and provocative form of a seller, that does not exist in the real market or even if there are existing a few, they have no impact on the market. The constant use of sophistry is nothing more than a perfidious form of trolling. That's nothing different from other things. People have their firm opinion about one thing and another thing. Inconsistency does not matter there. Most people are not open minded enough for thought provoking impulses. btw. RSI divergence. |

We are not in a bear market. We are in a market where the big guys make more money on dumps than price increases. And dumps are SO much easier.
Of course it is a bear market. If you are supposing that some wealthy entities are enforcing intentionally the bear market - yes, very likely. But they can only do this as the demand is not strong enough. One other wealthy entity saying "Okay, fine. This price is more then a fair value, I will buy all coins offered for this price" bear market is done instantly. Why it did not happen yet? Are all big players (early adopters, institutional buyers, hedge fonds, VCs etc.) are forming a conspiracy? All of them? I would rather deal with wallet street than bitcoin markets.
Bitcoin is a hardcore market. Let the bear market, or in your term "manipulation market" do what it wants to do. You can sell, you can buy, you can hold, you can trade but one thing you better should prevent - to get effected by it. |

Well, you may be correct. One thing is suggesting a strategy that works for yourself, and another thing would be to suggest some strategy for someone else if that someone else was NOT asking for any suggestions.
No harm meant. I don't want to force you for some strategy. I read here, and sometimes I like to write my thoughts and get input from other people. What you don't like or is meaningless for you, you can throw away. As with my high risk investments, same for my thoughts here - they are worthless from the beginning and I've no expectation. If they are result in something positive I'm happy. If they result in nothing, it's okay, too ;-) |

Anyhow, your last sentence seems to be referring to absolutes and blacks and whites and seem to be referring to a prediction of a future that has NOT yet occurred and your description of such future seems a little crazy from my perspective at the moment.
It's not a prediction, it's a mental attitude. All my high risks investments are totally worthless. Until I come to the point where I start recalculating the value, most times... ...to make it worthless for another round. So you seem to be suggesting that you are employing a psychological tool to NOT invest more into BTC than you can afford to lose.. and then to NOT overly focus on whether your BTC portfolio is in the black or red.. something like that? Not exactly but similar. |
