122  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Chinese Exchange Houbi Reaches 10MILLION BTC Weekly Volume - Is It Real? on: December 06, 2015, 10:31:22 PM
I think that about the volume that can be real, because the bitcoin price isn't increasing itself, but we should congratz the chinese because they are doing a good job by affecting the bitcoin visibility (by being bitcoin alive).

Any publicity is good publicity. Cool

124  Other / Off-topic / Re: The maximum bitcoin you have in total till now on: December 06, 2015, 09:50:33 PM
At the time BTC was worth 1000$ i had 2 of them. But unfortunatly i stored them on Mt Gox and we all know what happened there.

woww it was in 2011? you own 2 bitcoin worth $1000 each, which today $2000 equals to around 5 bitcoin. wow just wow. this is bitcoin way and i love to own some bitcoin now.
and my highest bitcoin ever i hold 0.4 bitcoin only. just bought $50 and grow to $150.

No. Today this equals around $500. ^^ His bitcoins wouldn't have transformed into more bitcoins unless he had sold and bought back in.

126  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money? on: December 06, 2015, 06:05:30 PM
I first got bitcoin from withdrawing from gambling sites.  I deposited with another method but could withdraw bitcoin so i did it.  Around that time bitcoin was around $220 usd or so and when i got it, i would then trade it for poker funds from other person etc because I didn't want to hold the bitcoins due to reading about price fluctuations.  However, isn't the value of bitcoin almost always going to go up so its best to hold it?  I know last year it was $600 and the highest was when it was more than $1000 per bitcoin.  But since it is all the way down to $200-$300, isn't having bitcoin always good?  Could bitcoin go all the way to 0 soon?  I had thought hey if you get bitcoin when its $230 when the price stayed like that for a long time, thats great b/c very hard for it to go below $200 because i haven't seen that.  But even if it does, isn't it almost always going to rebound and go back up?  Last time i had btc and it was $230 or so and now it went up to $260.  So if you have say 100 bitcoins... well... thats a nice $3000 profit or so.

I'm sure there are ppl that have thousands or bitcoins right and just hold on to it?  And many that would sell btc immediately if prices go all the way up?  If someone had say 500 bitcoin... then btc price went up $20 in say a week or so... selling it would net them $10000 minus fees right?  However if they sell it via localbitcoins or other method, they are going to get a higher profit right?  However if they do this, say sold all their 500 btc... then once bitcoin later in the year go up another $50... well that would be $25000 less they would have earned.

In general, isn't holding BTC always a good thing since the price of it is pretty low now?  Obviously if you bought btc at $600 or $1000 and thought it would went up and held on to your btc, that would been a disaster.  But since its in the $200-$300 range, isn't having BTC always good?

6 months later we are trying to buy bitcoins in the $300-$400 range. So yeah, I would say its a pretty good investment Cool
127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: December 06, 2015, 04:31:52 PM
I think if you want to treat your addiction to gambling, and suddenly stop gambling, it is impossible to be done
such as addiction to smoking, you can not just stop

Nope it is possible to suddenly stop from gambling, you just need to find other things to do so you will not think anything about gambling. It is different with smoking, you can't suddenly stop it or you will be in complication because I had a friend that his father get this kind of thing. But any way this is just midnset that you can't stop from gambling, if you want it you can do it

Totally agree with this. If you want to stop gambling, you have to just stop altogether. If you can't stop at x5, or even x10, when will you stop? This is what separates those who make money, and those who don't. I unfortunately appear to be one who doesn't as I am impulsive. I had to learn this the hard way unfortunately, leaving me now with just 1 bitcoin locked away in cold storage. At the time, I cashed out all of my alt's [ some of them soared afterwards too Sad ] to gamble ( I told myself I would buy them back afterwards ). Like me, you may have to stop and learn to smell the roses. Go outside, breathe some fresh air, you will recover. Just not as quickly ;]

I have had 5 bitcoins total in my life, but through some bad decision making, I am now sitting on only 1 bitcoin locked in cold storage... I will never let my bitcoin go either.

Am I missing something?

First Veegold had 5000+ nokoin stolen from his "growth account"
Acorn said tough luck.

Now it seems veegold "owes" 999 nokoin on his wallet.
received 14,213
sent 15,213
Veegold nokoin balance is (MINUS)  - 999.153!

http://www.neucoin.io/address/NSx81GyspxWA5H8z7MHam9dezptCKBqzkC

How can this be??
Are nokoin doing loans?
Is it just scammy, buggy nokoin again?

Try it out nokoiners, spend more than you own, Free money?

Don't know what you're all complaining about. I never spent a Satoshi on Neucoin and received 7,500+ coins for surveys. Currently estimated at about $60.00 USD. Basically the best surveys I have ever taken. I put 1500 grow in a 3-month growth account which will then be invested immediately into a 5-year growth account. I cashed out the rest for a pretty penny ( over 0.1 BTC ) .

So I am liking Neucoin so far.

I think sig campaign is most effective way.

it's the only way to make something, actually, all other way give you peanuts

until we can get payed directly in bitcoin, without the hassles to buy everytime and wasting time and money for each buying, besides risking more

is sig campaign really the highest paying?

Yes.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: November 22, 2015, 03:54:03 PM
Will Ethereum be able to implement Proof of Stake on Ethers? I think it would be a great idea to stake Ethers (like a bank account which earns you interest) as this would make it more energy efficient than mining them with a GPU. Still there is a lot to be developed on, and maybe in the next 2 to 3 years we would be able to see Ethereum's true potential. This is an excting journey for Ethereum.  Cheesy

I've been lending mine on Polo for interest Cool

A diggers paradise right here.

Why not just gamble your Bitcoins with a lower house edge? I believe the original purpose, or what many investors and gamblers had intended to be the purpose, was that they would not only double their total Clams by investing / gambling, but double the value of the Clams themselves.

With all of this, I just don't see the point anymore... Sad
