121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Physical Litecoins by the Litecoin Foundation on: July 26, 2013, 03:05:39 PM
subscribed to this thread.   im a silver bullion coin collector already so. also i love cold storage of my litecoins.  i tend to spend them on gpu's if they stay in my wallet too long.  litecoin has some pretty cool logos already! do it up! now would be a good time to commission some silver as its cheap. takes a while to get things minted tho Sad.  oh well good luck im sure i'll sign up!

123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin becoming the one world currency for the New World Order? on: July 25, 2013, 02:48:36 PM
There is no such thing as the "NWO" and the Illuminati no longer exists and when it did exist it was just one of many pro-enlightenment clubs. These concepts exist in imagination land and function as empty containers into which people with a poor education to fear ratio can pour their worries. They are designed to circumvent the need for nuance and complicated argumentation and replace them with simple labels and concepts, and unfortunately these things really are required to argue in politics and economics.

At best these conspiracy theories are a poor substitute for real criticisms of the very real problems with global finance and the fractional reserve banking system, and the way that powerful private interests control politics. At worst they degenerate into outright lunacy involving, variously; alien reptiles, the Devil, a mass plan to depopulate the planet (which appears to be going swimmingly), and just about anything else you can imagine.

In all NWO theories there has to be a "them", a group behind everything. However, nobody within the subculture can agree on what the them is, exactly. So you get; The Bilderberg Group, The Vatican, The British (I've seen that and its hilarious), The UN, The Devil (again), Aliens, Alien Lizards (again, David Icke's prefered choice).

Its a small point but I find the idea of them trying to create a one world government amusing. This is the phrase that conspiracy theorists use all the time. I think you mean a one government world. There is of course, only going to be one world.

you forgot the jews.  the idea that one small group of humans was competent enough to rule the world behind the scenes is absurd.  the idea that many incompetent humans are screwing up the world blatantly seems more plausible imho.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DDOS on BTC-e? on: July 25, 2013, 02:16:33 AM
i think more likely would be attack exchanges that do litecoins to drop the exchange rate. although who knows what these ddos aholes want?
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Support Litecoin? STAY AWAY FROM BTC-E - They are Killing Litecoin's Economy on: July 24, 2013, 12:11:24 PM
i have to agree with messiah here. the .5 ltc fee is a relic from the days when ltc was trading @ .07 usd. now that its worth more than a dollar they should lower the fees for their own self interest. you can obtain litecoins from many other places now, it doesn't make a whole lot o fo sense to use btc-e especially if you are buying. if you are selling even then you lose a huge chunk by the time the money gets to your pocket.  the trollbox is pretty fun to read tho.

yeah, going back and forth on the 25 ounce. the ones i got so far are awesome! and i verified the addresses have 10 litecoins on each coin!  so lets just nobody sell these coins for less than what they paid for them then they will hold their value since there is only one thousand of them!

129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [XPM] Working on a GPU miner for Primecoin on: July 22, 2013, 01:37:32 AM
whilst it may seem on the greedy side on the other hand coding is a big pain in the ass so he should get paid something for coding it.   the other alternative would be to code it in secret and just take all the primecoins, which is more risky for collapsing the coin than making it gpu minable imo.  I think gpu mining will short term drop the price.  As the difficulty skyrockets and reward per block plummets each individual primecoin will become very valuable.  that being said i can't donate cause i traded all my bitcoins for block eruptors. and it would seem the smarter move to hang on to that bitcoin and just buy up what you would've mined in xpm that first week.

133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Split this forum up? on: July 14, 2013, 08:01:31 PM
if you went that route thered be like 200+ child boards. best to just leave it one big fat forum and let the market decide which threads about which coins are interesting enough to keep at the top.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: -PrimeCoin Was Created To Divert Your Attention From LTC !!! on: July 11, 2013, 01:26:48 AM

136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XPM] [ANN] Primecoin Release - First Scientific Computing Cryptocurrency on: July 10, 2013, 09:37:41 AM
yeah this coin has definately captured the miners imagination.  Its got suspense and solo mining! not to mention its a new algorhythm which is more than most of these johnnycomelatelycoins can say.  I found 3 blocks so far and 1 is already mature omg!  haven't felt that way since solo mining litecoins back in the day.  its nice to see someone go the opposite of the trend and try to make a coin that is MORE rare.   is there any evidence as to whether optimization helps at all? anyway im going to get my rigs cpus mining this tonight.  It really is a breath of fresh air.  I didn't get into mining cryptocoins because i thought i was going to get rich, i got into mining crypto coins because ITS FUN!   glad to see a coin that reminded me.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XPM] [ANN] Primecoin Release - First Scientific Computing Cryptocurrency on: July 09, 2013, 06:57:47 PM
this new coin makes me happy! im a solo mining addict! this is definately the lot of a solo miner, good days and bad days.  it doesn't even seem like primespersec  rate is even all that valuable.  i thought there was a post in this thread where sunny said he just added primes per sec as a lark. i dunno im sure it will all come out in the wash. just 1 block so far doing my best to just forget about it. a watched wallet doesn't solve blocks.
