121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: September 03, 2016, 08:54:04 PM
I just installed Factoid Wallet GUI but no idea how to send my FCT from exchange to it. Where is my address or how to generate it? Can i find somewhere turtorial, how to use this wallet?

Here is the how-to with screenshots for the GUI: https://www.factom.com/devs/docs/howto/factoid-wallet-gui-guide

Thank you. So i sent from polo to my wallet small amount of FCT and  explorer shows correct balance ( http://explorer.factom.org/address/FA2aGhbJHAp4sp228vsmJiNdZrRhk6twFf7dNqidsKBjtPWt6Ctw ), but in my GUI wallet after about 1 hour still 0  Huh

123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: August 30, 2016, 09:51:01 PM
Maybe it's time to recap basic numbers:

General

Coinmarketcap shows 62,585,264 (or 62,737,901 according to synereo doc) AMP as total available supply ON MARKET

That would be nice if it's total number, but actually initial total number was 2,000,000,000

With current price it would make 367,700,000 $ , it's much more but it's still just ~1/3 of Ethereum

After 1st crowdsale

Now the good things

319,600,000 AMP were destroyed after crowdsale and it makes total number of available AMP 1,680,400,000 with current price it's 308,941,540$ and it would make it market no. 3 just behind Ethereum

After 2nd crowdsale

After first crowdsale, 15% AMPs were destroyed. It's hard to say how many will be destroyed after 2nd crowdsale, but let's assume it will be similar

Let's also assume 2nd crowdsale will be similar to the first (45 million AMPs), then there will be about 108 milion AMPs on the market

and marketcap will be about 19 million $

If burn will be similar there will be total 1,360,800,000 AMP in existence with evaluation 246,620,505 $

Just to be clear, each AMP token price is determined only by the available number of AMP tokens and not by all 2 bil. initialy created. Only the demand and suplly for the available AMPs is creating the price for the AMP token.
Yes, that's right. But huge amount of additional AMP can be thrown into the market practically anytime and that does investment difficult because it brings huge undeterminable inflation.

It is obvious that they can do this whenever they need to. Im full of FUD in this distribution scheme, it's same as RIPPLE.

130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: August 26, 2016, 10:41:23 AM
I have a question. How big is the Monero blockchain? I decided to use the full client and I was wondering if 10gb is enough to sync the blockchain. Also I would like to ask how fast the syncing is.

10 GB is probably barely enough for the file on disk, although the actual blockchain is only about 1/3 of that since (some optimization remains to be done on the efficiency of storage use).

The speed of syncing varies greatly depending on your hardware and bandwidth. I can sync from scratch in 1-2 hours but others report a few days.

According to  someone  reddit post (6 months ago) 10 GB can be not enought - https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/45hu6p/blockchain_sizewhich_wallet/

Interesting perspective:

FB marketcap 350B
BTC marketcap 9B
Synereo marketcap 11M

yeah, alpha launch will reduce this gap  Cool

I wouldnt be so sure, guys have still a lot of tokens to sell, total suply AMP is 1,6B and STEEM only 140k

Well actual supply of buyable tokens is only 60M.
And NO, Steem is not only 140k but 140M with actual supply of 120M.
So, technically AMP is 2x more scarce as STEEM at the moment.

Next time check your math before posting such garbage man.

Sorry for mistake, ofc should be "M" not "K". But whats the diferent if now there is only 60M buyable tokens. Where is rest? Waiting for next ICO's? If yes its still not so bad.

137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RISE | Building Blockchain Based App Development Environments on: August 18, 2016, 08:39:33 AM
Dear RISE Team,

We at Lisk are big fans of open source development. We after all forked the Crypti code which used The MIT License and therefore we are bound to the same license (we would have chosen the same one anyway). As a fork of Lisk you are under the same license as well.

There is not really a lot going on in your core development branch on BitBucket. However, there was one large update called "Update for node syncing".

I see that you copied our code 1-for-1 without leaving any kind of credits, honours, or "copyright" to the Lisk team. This is mandatory with The MIT License and we ask you to please do so.

Furthermore, in order to support your project a little bit I need to say that a copy & paste you did makes zero sense. (There is theoretically another one which makes no sense, but I'm not the best developer so I'm not sure.)

The changes you did in the constants.js regarding voteExceptions, these votes never happened on the RISE network. Only on the Lisk network, so there is zero need for you to have these 3 votes inside there. Additionally, when you copied it you added an error. There is the following part missing:
Code:
",

Compare: RISE / Lisk

I'm hoping to see the deserved credits for the Lisk soon on BitBucket, especially for the database migration system Oliver put a lot of work into.

You collected a huge amount of money (probably 3x as much as Crypti which had good development going on for nearly 2 years) and I expect that you can contribute something on your own, so we at Lisk can copy it too.  Grin

PS: I would have kept this private, but you were not responding to my private message.

Thank you guys! Good luck with your efforts.
