People are mixing things.
They aren't avoiding fiat, they are avoiding physical cash. Paper ones. But they still use CC from banks.
This will do no difference for Bitcoin. It has been an option today, and there will be no advantage for it after the ban on cash.

This will make huge difference for Bitcoin.

If physical cash is no longer accepted by any bank or merchant, Bitcoin could take its role as a payment method for quick and anonymous transactions. There is and will be a fair demand for cash (or cash-like) payments, anything from giving money to beggars to buying weed, paying prostitute etc.

I didn't get your point. If you will pay with Bitcoin, you can pay a hooker with a "gift" payment from their bank payment.

123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The biggest secret of bitcoin on: October 22, 2015, 05:12:23 PM
Nothing new.
That happened to Dogecoin.
But it won't happen to Bitcoin because its design isn't flawed to not respect the Halving God.
124  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your favorite video games of all time on: October 22, 2015, 12:56:03 PM
For me it would be minecraft.

Why do people like minecraft though, its just a sandbox not an actual game ?  Am I right because I saw they bring out a new game for it that might actually include missions for the first time if I read it right and before that it was just a case of build stuff and just an occasional spider but not actual multiplayer competitive games like alot of massively popular games ?  I mean the game who wrote this is a billionaire I think

Well, in the vanilla minecraft(no mods) you do have an objective, but that's not the point. You do that just so you can have a few different things and the pleasure of killing the bosses. Other than that, yup, it's just build and craft stuff.
At first I thought tha same thing as you, but the real deal is that mods gave more life to the game. There are "modpacks" that makes tons of changes to the game. It still lacks an objective? Yup, but there are so many things to be made, so much to explore, and it feels nice to make your stuff, specially automated ones.

And yeah, "Notch", the creator of minecraft sold his company, Mojang, to Microsoft for over 10 Billions.
Hard to believe or not, Notch today is a bit sad if not depressive since he no longer works and he can have anything he wants(there's no challenge more in his life).
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin v. Bitcoin on: October 21, 2015, 10:20:29 AM
Litecoin can become slowly the "trading" altcoin. There is at least a trading site I know in which is much easier to move around using litecoin, as doing sells and buys in Bitcoin has a higher minimum.

I feel that traders can adjust prices more with a lower value coin that is still as fractional as Bitcoin, and can be transferred quicker.

Sure, there are other alts, but they do not have near the same popularity as litecoin.

That is because it was the coin that was released right after bitcoin. Correct?
They are basically joined at the hip whether you like it or not.
I personally keep both on hand.  Wink

"Right after" isn't correct. It took months for coblee making the first version of Litecoin, and IIRC, NameCoin was the first alt ever.
The biggest problem of the alts is that, even they have a good purpose or try new things like Litecoin with Scrypt instead of SHA256, PPC with PoS, etc. it doesn't make them more special than Bitcoin.

Sinceramente? Grande parte dos que querem assumindo todo esse custo, são pessoas com cartões roubados.

Melhor descrição.
Não vejo porque eu pagaria tão caro se um TED/DOC pra uma exchange sai muito mais barato.

This website is nothing new, it's been around a few weeks the first time I saw it, if not more then a whole month, no?

And anybody can check if the website is protected from this attack.

Cant open the link what does that site do?
Have full detailed info about this security leak.
Has a small test to see if your browser knows how to implement the "good way" to exchange the crypto info.
And a link to the full paper where the OP extracted the text.

129  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Now PayPal accounts can be funded with Bitcoin on: October 16, 2015, 11:27:02 AM
Hello guys,

I am the CEO of the mentioned company.

Yes this is real, and everything is checked with PayPal. From our side, there is no fee at all, only the standard fee that PayPal charges to someone receiving a payment on PayPal.

If you have any questions, I am happy to answer it.

IDK if in Europe they charge differently, but here on Brazil they charge a heavy ~10% fee, which is ridicously high and made everybody on the country to avoid such PITA. IKR that outside here PayPal is famous and very used, but if you could get a "discount" on the fees I think it would be more atractive. Just my opinion.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dear banks, it's not about blockchain technology on: October 16, 2015, 11:13:41 AM
I hear bankers saying we don't find bitcoin interesting , but we are interested in blockchain technology. Which I find a paradox...

Of course you don't like bitcoin because you lose the power to mint it yourselves. You would rather use blockchain technology and start an altcoin yourselves.

They don't want an altcoin, they just want to use blockchain technology for storing ledger information, verification, archiving, authentication/validating signatures. An altcoin is pointless to them.

The Coin is just one possible application of this great technology.

This is the whole point. People seen to forget that a bank is a hell tons of servers that need to share data, have consensus and other distributed service problems. And the blockchain solves them pretty well.
131  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Now PayPal accounts can be funded with Bitcoin on: October 15, 2015, 04:44:59 PM
F*ck PayPal and any ways to fund the account.
Gladly almost no use this here, and don't need to pay 9~10% fee.
132  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can a bitcoin address can be recovered from public key??? on: October 13, 2015, 04:18:07 PM
No way to do that.
You can only brute force, but that's useless, it would take literally forever to get the private key that matches the public key.
The concept is this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public-key_cryptography
133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin blockchain size sucks let's restart and do swap on: October 09, 2015, 03:07:27 PM
Satoshi knew that one day it would grow too large and we would need solutions based on data servers.
"Electrum is the future" basicly, since it already implements a good, secure light weight client.
134  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Feature that should be added on: October 09, 2015, 03:05:50 PM
Use Electrum/Armory/MultiBit
Problem solved

The real focus on the Bitcoin-qt is to maintain the daemon, not making a really good client.
135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MasterCard Exec: ‘Bitcoin Doesn't Really Work in Today's Environment’ on: October 09, 2015, 03:00:10 PM
What we lack in tps,

mastercards tps is actually less then you think. this is because their databases are separate. not only based on currency but also country.
now if we were to say BTC was for america, feathercoin for UK, litecoin for europe and another 200 coins for each country of the world.
then you will see that the total tps potential of blockchain technology vs individual mastercard databases are the same. if not blockchain tech surpasses mastercard.

That's exactly what would happen with sidechains.
I don't know about the rest o the community, but I'm pretty "happy" with 2 TPS for now.

I have never even SEEN 50 shades of gray!
Summary: A girl that got intimated by a rich guy that gave her expensive things so she spread her legs.
It's a stupid book/movie that almost every girl read just because it talks about insecurity from desiring a BDSM guy. Pretty stupid. Like you wanting a rich guy lol
137  Other / Off-topic / Re: WHAT IS THE MATTER WIT U PPL? CMON I NEED A HUSBAAAAAAND!!! on: October 09, 2015, 12:07:54 PM
Lol this topic became even funnier.
A supposedly woman searching for a rich guy on a techsavvy forum.
Do you know that most devs and guys that works with IT aren't rich right?
Bill gates.

Congratulations, now you know that less than 1% of tech guys aren't rich.
Even business guys aren't that rich, since, you know, money doesn't rain just because you made something, you need it to be very useful or very popular.
Whatever, let's just let this topic die.
NO.

IT WILL NOT DIE UNTIL I HAVE A BUSINESS PARTNER

I'M GONNA GET WHAT I WANT, BE WHAT I WANT, AND YOU CAN'T STOP ME. Smiley

Nice name for "I'll be your bitch and you will give me anything I want".
You're watching too much 50 shades of gray, go get a common guy.

140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is why people "despise" Bitcoin on: October 09, 2015, 11:27:53 AM
People need more info about how the exchange works.
All of the process works as a financial operation, so lots of bureaucracy is envolved.
