I don't know if this is any beneficial for the Gujarat Titans openers to gain their form back. If both Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill had this type of form in the previous matches, they would not be at the bottom of the table right now. Although with yesterday's win, the Gujarat Titan are able to move up the table to the 8th position but this is not going to be enough for them to be in the top 4 and qualify for the playoffs. On the other hand Chennai Super Kings despite losing this match, are holding on to the 4th position. However they need to win their next match otherwise Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants can take over them as all three of them are standing with 12 points each. If Chennai Super wants to win the match against Gujarat Titans then they must make them bat responsible. If they cannot bat responsibly in today's match then it will be very difficult to win against Gujarat Titans.
I don't think Chennai Super Kings will be playing again with Gujarat Titans in this IPL. Their next match is with Rajasthan Royals and then Royal Challengers Bengaluru. As per my analysis, CSK will move to the playoffs while Gujarat Titans will move out of this IPL. So the both teams cannot meet again however Chennai Super Kings have to bat and bowl with responsibility in their next matches otherwise things can become very difficult for them too. |

I hope you didn't miss the match as Sunrisers Hyderabad did something close to a miracle. They chased the 165 runs in less than 10 overs. Today is a very good match and it is just good for Royal Challengers Bengaluru because if they win this match then their points change from 8 to 10 and also but after this still their position will not change after winning the match but still at least, if they win more matches then they can come to the 12 points but it would happen if they win back to back two matches. This match win would help them to increase their run rate too.

Lucknow Super Giants power play score 1-6 over only 27 runs.
I don't have exact statistics about the minimum runs scored in power play in other IPL events but the lowest score in power play in 2014 IPL is 27 runs today. Hit just one boundary in six overs in today's mandatory power play. Hit only one over boundary but failed to hit any fours.
One thing I could not understand today was how Lucknow Super Giants could score so slowly in this high voltage match. Although the giants had a batting disaster in the beginning but they overcame the batting disaster but the run scores are not doing very well.
Lucknow Super Giants could restrict Lucknow Super Giants to 165 runs in the allotted 20 overs due to the excellent bowling of Sunrise Hyderabad. Lucknow Super Giants batsmen did not bat that well against Sunrise Hyderabad because the batting line of Sunrise Hyderabad is very strong. Should have batted responsibly. A target of 166 runs will not be too difficult for Sunrise Hyderabad and they will easily win against Lucknow Super Giants.
