122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Altcoin are you currently supporting, and Why? on: March 27, 2017, 05:35:48 PM

I am sitting on some Monero . But iam  looking forward to coin named Aidos because :

Directed acyclic graph algorithm ( super light system )
No transfer fees
Fully Anon

seems to have very good longterm plans and is going directly to Exchangers
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Starting a new Coin on: March 27, 2017, 05:12:35 PM
The word "Fork" clearly is a touchy subject in light of recent developments Smiley

I got a clone working today, simple enough.

Thanks for the input.

there you go , a clone.  good luck with your project
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Multiple problems for newbie help on: March 27, 2017, 04:27:07 PM

Trezor is Bitcoin only wallet .
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POW can it work? on: March 27, 2017, 04:24:56 PM
I think Delegated POS is the most secure, most decentralized, most scalable invention in crypto space.

POS =  more you own = more power. How is that decentralized

POW with new algorithm is the way to go  and soon we will see a good one on exchangers
126  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: March 27, 2017, 04:16:57 PM

Time to update the OP?  for example Sub-ranks :

10 BTC for Donator   and 50 BTC for VIP.  As much as i love this forum i am sure not many are willing to donate 10,000 USD-50,000 USD. i would love to donate and help out if the VIP and Donator were  more resonable Wink
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POW can it work? on: March 27, 2017, 04:08:00 PM

There are more coins that are POW then the ones you listed. Monero is one of them

So your question is if POW vs POS ? good or bad?

I like POW better then POS . It all depends how the setup is. Bitcoin POW does not work because they way it is setup big miners get bigger control of the network

A POW that is based on direct reward for example allowing you to use the network  is better then POW that is based on rewarding thirdparty like bitcoin has

128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New interesting ICO's on: March 27, 2017, 03:59:49 PM
99% of them are bullshit

right on,  paying to get tokens in bullshit project that might take years to become reality or never reach exchangers is just crazy. Is better to invest as soon as they hit the exchangers if one thinks it is worth to invest.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Starting a new Coin on: March 27, 2017, 03:37:42 PM
ok keyboard warrior. I suggest you start with learning what fork is before you think about doing you own coin.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How DASH is stealing investors money - pyramid scheme revealed. on: March 27, 2017, 03:12:12 PM

Good OP ,  but sorry to say DASH is not the only coin playing dirty.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buterin Defends Hard Forks, Adding Heat to Bitcoin Scaling Debate on: March 27, 2017, 02:55:52 PM

Every time Vitalik Buterin name comes up or he has something to say i stop to listen.  All the DAO , white hat , black hat bullshit for the alien and his team to scam people made me lose respect for him and his team long time ago
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Starting a new Coin on: March 27, 2017, 02:49:39 PM
Hi All,

I am part of a small community that is keen to learn about crypto through the process of creating our own currency and I have some questions.

But first:
1. Our goal is not to make $$
2. Our goal is to learn & experiment

Our strategy:
1. We have decided to fork LiteCoin and follow SuperKings post here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1278734.0 (as a general starting point).
2. The wallet we create will be made available to an established local community with the aim of teaching them about crypto (10,000 members).

Questions about LiteCoin:
1. What features can be removed that are still in Litecoin, for legacy compatibility reasons, but can be nuked in a brand new coin?
2. Is there any reason to keep P2PK and P2SH if we have access to P2SWH?

Thanks for your time in advance!

by fork you mean copy , right?  for forking you need network support etc

and just to copy existing coin is just not the way to go if you want to help crypto community.   Bring something new to the table and do it from scratch . it would also be better for your learning experience that seems to be important to you
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Old boy PINK COIN 2.0 Release is coming out soon what are your thoughts? on: March 26, 2017, 03:43:11 PM

is not pink coin 2.0   is just  a new thread.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Let's design a coin on: March 26, 2017, 03:26:41 PM

For a digital currency to stand out  and also have daily usage :

No blockchain  so it is small and light
No Transfer fees
working wallet from the start
Decenteralized
Anon
codes from scratch

on top of the  above a dev team that not only understand coding but also understand business and already have projects that will help usage of the digital coin

i am sure one that ticks all the above will be on the exchangers very very soon Smiley
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any one participating in ICOs is an idiot!!! on: March 26, 2017, 03:17:35 PM
i think investing in ico is better than investing on ponzi site, because not of all icos are scams. everyone have own way to make money you can't blame they all are idiot.

sorry to tell you this but crypto has turned out to be like ponzi. just look at this section ( Altcoin section )  . hundrards of trheads about some bullshit coin and ICO.

OP is right , ICO are easy way to scam people.  Why is ICO even needed if the team behind the coin have good tech and ideas. They can take it directly to the exchangers.  this way Dev still gets their money for development and investors can at least be safe knowng they can sell if shit hits the fan
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Correct me if I am wrong on: March 26, 2017, 03:13:41 PM

As a person part of a team that are finishing final stages of our digital currency i would say like others before me. Do not do ICO, if you realy have a good project , tech and roadmap then  go directly to exchangers. That is what we are going to do

Apart from that the airdrop to members idea is also greate
137  Economy / Speculation / Re: Scaling is solved tomorrow, what effect on the price and perception? on: March 24, 2017, 03:39:55 PM
I believe OP is asking the question "what if scaling was solved tomorrow?"

If this happened it would take some time but the price would no doubt have a slow steady increase.
Right now a lot of Bitcoins price is based on speculation of future user base and increased transaction volume.
So I don't think price would double overnight, but over a couple years you could easily see another 100% or 200% increase in value.

ohhh , right.  sorry, makes sense now.
138  Economy / Speculation / Re: Scaling is solved tomorrow, what effect on the price and perception? on: March 24, 2017, 03:33:33 PM

how is Scaling solved tommorow? more info would be nice
139  Economy / Speculation / Re: SolidX , SEC verdict 30th March on: March 21, 2017, 02:56:42 PM
It will be denied for sure. Why even make a topic about etf's. SEC hates btc so their will not come an bitcoin based etf for a long time. Forget about those SEC idiots.

calm down man. SolidX rejection might be clear to us but might not be to others just reading the news. Offcourse the  news about solidX will push the price up a bit,any news about bitcoin being used is good news.  We all need it in the times of forks and shit that is scaring people
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HF seems imminent with 41,7 % BU Blocks right now on: March 19, 2017, 02:21:01 PM

where do you get 41.7 % from?  BU is 33 %   and there is looooong way to 51%
