Last time Bitcoin block reward halved the price stabilized to 10'sh dollar range for a few months. In 6 months from the halvening the price rose to 265 usd, then it got dumped and restarted rising to 1200 usd - and all this happened with 10 % inflation rate. Now the inflation rate is merely 4 % so the final peak might be more than 10 000 % from the current levels..
Actually one big bank can buy btc to 300 000-400 000 usd/btc if they so decide (and why not to decide).
I have been reading many of your posts and you are very very open to hard value raise. Do you base 10 000 % on last halving alone and inflation rate? so you think the value of BTC will be around 65k USD/BTC in 4-5 months ? About one one big bank buying 300k-400k USD/BTC , why would they want to ?

We going to hit 1000 and 5000 . The question is when. Everything can happen with Bitcoin, one thing is for sure. We have new floor and we are moving up slowly. Lets hope for a faster rise but not too fast

we are still in block halving period. it takes time for it to take effect , the fact that we are stable at 630-650 USD is a good sign . We have new floor at 600 USD and the only way is up .

hmm, megaupload had around 100 million people using it if i remember this correctly. So when Megaupload 2.0 comes online and bitcoin is big part of it then we are going to see a big big raise in value i am sure. LEts hope is not all busllhit

They said it was going to rise to $20k by halving?
well ,, alot of things have been said. 20k, 30k even 100k. One word that has been overused is "Moon" .. to the moon!!!! We will see how how things look in the next week or so. if it is still stable then we have found a new floor price and then we might push to 1000 USD Q1 2017
^^ yes , in the next 20 hours we will see if new buyers will jump on the train hoping for profit and that would make the price go up even more. Just hope it goes up slowly so we do not see big dump straight after the rise

Damn, this is one fucked up thread. Seems this forum is filled with no brain ignorant fucks. People have been killed, Black , white, green does not matter. We have big problems in the world and we need to keep calm and not let the fuckers that want us to live in chaos win. They profit on our fears. Being self thinking and not dependent on bullshit government is one of bitcoins fundamentals .

we have 100000 threads with same posts. Why BTC value not gone to the moon when halving has almost happened? why we go down , bla bla bla
simple, It takes time
Most of people were thinking for some reason when the countdown reaches Zero the price would shoot up. Wait until q1 2017 then we will know what halving has done to the BTC value

BTC seems to be stable , holding mid 600. we might get down to 500 USD within a week or so due to some panic sales by people who were hoping for a miracle by halving day. After the dump it will climb to around 900 in Q1 2017
Just relax, what happened like 12 hours ago with the price going down to 610 USD was because of some people panic dumping thinking that halving will it further down. Now we are back up to around 650 USD. It became stable again instead of free falling . So we have buyers that are buying when price goes down. this way i am sure 1-2 weeks from now price will be better for selling
i agree with above post. Also seems you do not know what happened months after last halving happened.

For u personally what is a Bitcoin price that u would consider too high?
What can be the maximum Bitcoin's worth?
~CfA~
Going by your choices, I can say that the value of bitcoin can be considered too high if it touches $1000+ because it just is. Comparing to all the other stocks that can be traded, bitcoin's value is definitely way up top. Hoping still this halving will bring many miracles to us. You can not compare bitcoin with Stocks. Bitcoin is diffrent animal. Is like saying for example 20, 000 USD is too much for autographed letter from JFK. Sure might be for you and me , but there will always be some one wanting to buy. If bitcoin grows and people are willing to collect / own / trade then 1000 USD per BTC is nothing

now now , Play nice children. We are heading towards uncharted territory , who knows what we will find. One thing is for sure it will be a very very interesting ride

The halving is already well calculated into the current price. It's actually quite overhyped because of it.
It doesn't matter. There is a huge hype around the actual date, and also we will have segwit soon and more new stuff. We are only going up. You seriously believe that segwit crap? We've been promised a solution for years, it never happened and development has never been as dead as it is now. Segwit just got merged this week. Crap or not, it is coming. Can someone explain Segwit to me please? In simple terms. Thanks in advance. It will able the system to handle more transactions.

I do not know how much in Bitcoins Hashocean have and going to dump but i think the price reduction is due to some noob bitcoiners selling too early or is just bitcoin way of life. one day you are up 10% and next day you are down 20% . there are some things here, if we do not see bitcoin climbing soon when we are getting closer to halving time then we can forget 800-1000 USD / BTC value. I think it will stay at around 600-650 USD. But offcourse i want to hope for 1000-1200 but i think it is out of range if you base it on how the value is at the moment

800-1k around mid of July. Halving itself will not make much diffrens. It all depends on if we will get new buyers into the system. the more people buy thinking about the halving then the price will offcourse rise. So lets hope the word is spreading about halving and the potential of profit and to have lots of people buy buy buy and we might even see 2k USD/BTC

Well the Rocket might be ready and full of fuel but man no one will know for sure how far it will go. Stating that people should buy at any price is just naive. The price will go up but not as much as many are hoping.
