As ICONOMI first published their whitepaper they said they will pay dividends in form of ETH to their ICN hodlers, but at a certain point they realized that this will make ICNs a security so they switched to buyback method and Jani said that they will give ICN a utility on their DAMP platform (final product).
This means ICN isn't a security anymore it's a utility token now.

Nobody wants to have security tokens! I agree with @J3p0, they'll try to make it an utility token... or was it just that from the beginning?

Due to ICN stating there will be the dividends payout in the whitepaper before and during the ICO, then changing it after they've realised it would be considered a security. Because a portion of investors buying in during the ICO would of most likely been just for the dividends. Maybe I'm just overthinking, guess we'll just have to wait and see from the official team. No, not anymore because this happened already months ago. I'm an ICO investor myself and as they published the news about switching from dividends to buybacks, sure everyone was like "HELL No, we got promised dividends!". That's a normal reaction from people and totally understandable. After a few days and as the dust had settled people started to realize that buybacks aren't that bad and therefore a lot of people held onto their ICN. Sure you also had those people who sold their ICN because of the news but that's what you call "shaking the weak hands out". Afterall IMO it's not about dividends or buybacks anymore because dividends are the past and buybacks are the future!The only thing what people now want to know is - will we successfully launch on August the 1st or not! |

6 days before we are on the moon.I feel like buying all the icn available on Karaken or elsewhere for sell.Am I being greedy? Do you people never read anything? Hooray!I read the three previous pages, but since I haven't followed Iconomi since last year I don't know what's going on. I realized something is happening, but since I'm not aware of Iconomi and it's little subtleties, I would not know that they are going public from reading the previous 3 pages. I would probably have dig and dig until hopefully piecing everything together, or I can ask what's happening and hopefully get a clearer picture. Just buy ICN now wait 6-10 days and make at least x2 profit!! Sell ICN now, wait 1 day, buy ICN back and get x3 profit ! (that is, if the market corrects like it should) Wait lemme check my .....  b-b-but market already corrected itself!  PLS advice!  |

I think so! It's the first investment and i think it will run good. If the correction of the actual run begins they should pull out the 2nd quarter report. After that (or the Launch) we all scream "to the moon!" :-) :-) And Lamorghini will sell a lot of cars! Hey bro! Just so you know, its "Da moon". Or just - MEWN! ICONOMI already funded Santiment in their first ICO round. I think they are now concentrating on projects promoted by cofound only and missing out on other good projects. I don't think so, it wouldn't be smart to only invest into projects that will be supported by CFI, but CFI is truly a good indicator to see if a project is legit and to get an inside track on what is happening behind the scenes. Look at taas,they invested 1000 ETH in TenX but ICONOMI ignored it. How do you know that? Did you ask Jani? If you did, pls share his answer with us here. If they had invested,they would have made it public just like their previous investments or is there any secret portfolio also that they hold? They did make it public, if you open your ICONOMI app and have a look at their DAA Structure you`ll see Santiment with 2,000 ETH funded. That`s no secret we know that for months!
