@FiniteByDesign, do you plan on making stuff like 100-500 CGB bricks?
And we really need to get on the chinese exchanges, how's that going? Any progress?
I don't really know how we could contact them. I already emailed them...they have QQ email info at the bottom of their site. They are extremely busy with customer support emails from their users. Note, btc38 is fueled by speculators and wild price changes. Just look at MEC, in the last four days it reached over 18 CNY to a low of 5 CNY today (72% loss), settling at around 8 CNY currently. I'd be excited to see CB trading on btc38, but there are positives to not being traded on there as well. CB needs stable and steady adoption, not wild price swings that can scare away legitimate business usage. I'm working on getting CB on more exchanges, but that's just my two satoshi...

I will have the logo contest for MADEsparq this week. Award will be at least 40, 30, 20 CGB for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place respectively (at least $200 for 1st place, depending on price volatility of CGB). I'm using the winners of the logo contest as concept images for the branding campaign on 99designs.com. I'll announce it mid-week to let some people unwind from the US holidays. The graphical design folks on this forum can start getting their ideas together now. I want to have the logo decided upon before starting the crowd funding on Kickstarter.
Cheers.

The fact that many coins took off before CGB leads me to believe this influx is just a bunch of people buying up random coins.
We all knew it was just a matter of time before someone did their homework and found out the most intelligent place to invest.
This. I am suddenly getting a bunch of emails and inquiries about MADEsparq and CGB as if I just released the projects yesterday. The fact of the matter is that people are discovering true value and unique potential...instead of pure speculation.

Has anyone else seen this coinplorer site, it's pretty awesome: http://coinplorer.com/CGBHow long has it been up? Does anyone know? It's a really valuable resource for the virtual currency industry, it should get more exposure. No idea, but I like it Should be added to cgb services page imo. Now while I am at it, the following links seem to be down and probably should be checked/removed: CoinEX, smalltimeminer, cryptoblackjack. CoinEx is active, maybe delete your browser cookies. And I know smalltimeminer was having dns issues but can't get a hold of the hosting provider because of the holidays in the US, but the pool is still accepting shares--it's just the front-end that's down. cryptoblackjack does indeed look to be offline. Thanks! Apparently CoinEx was down because of server overload from explosive growth: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=265277.msg3779262#msg3779262

Scarcity could be defined in many ways. For instance, defining scarcity as the low relative value of the daily minting of new coins with respect to a coin's market cap. Or did you think all these altcoins at $1 million and higher market caps, minting over 10 BTC+ in new coins daily (at least $3.65 million of new supply in a year), was sustainable given their vast economic ecosystems?

I see there's deposit issues again.
I've had an FTC deposit stuck on pending overnight...

Anyone have luck exchanging communication with btc38?
They've been extremely busy and overrun with emails, etc. And they've been DDoS fodder as well. Things are hectic over there but they're definitely adding more coins, at least that's what I gathered. Moreover, I realized the only deposit method is with the Chinese Yuan...it's no wonder prices are inflated on that exchange. It's a clever set up. I suspect some more patience and CGB project roll outs will be quite rewarding, and not just for getting on btc38 but on other 1000+ BTC volume exchanges as well.

Happy Thanksgiving to the whole CB community! It has been a wild ride this past 5 months and I am truly thankful for the experience and the participation of the whole community. We have come so far in this short time together and this is just the beginning! I hope everyone who celebrates today has an opportunity to put crypto aside for the day and spend some quality time with their loved ones, remember, that is what this life experience is about. Enjoy, eat, drink, laugh and love! Catch your breath and get refreshed, I suspect a parabola in the future Thanks! Likewise to the whole CB community! Happy Thanksgiving! Cheers. -Merc

I'm pretty sure I just saw the LTC/BTC orderbook crossover... EDIT: Yeah, I'm seeing this sort of thing a lot all of a sudden: My LTC deposit from multipool hasn't shown up yet either...I guess it's safe to assume they're still having issues.

I'm interested in the architecture and security details of the payment platform.

lol which idiot did this??? Edit: Is it just me or does the volume not match the trades Even PPC had a ~30% flash crash about two hours ago...unfortunately this is par for the course since crypto currency markets are still in their infancy and trade volume can change drastically day by day.

14th place taken Next stop topple freicoin Placed 13th target price $4.20- $4.50 Which chart are you reading? It's still 500k behind from Tickets I guess the places shuffled again. We are 100k behind tickets. Update: Nevermind, both coins saw huge growth again while CGB didn't move much. Let's see where these coins are in a few months from now compared to CGB when the altcoin hype has died down... I've got projects to roll out in the next few months that many of these 'devs' couldn't even dream of creating. There will be a sustainable ecosystem around CGB for years to come.

If I turn on my wallet after 6 months, will I still get the returns or do I need it to be permanently active?
Yes, but you miss out on 1/4th the annual interest, since max coinAge is 90 days. Also, it's best to have your wallet locked while your wallet is downloading the block chain to get in sync. Also, is there a planned feature for making paper backups? I have a few CGB and I'd like to put them in some real cold storage (partly because it's safest, partly because I don't want to impulsively sell them ). Yes, definitely will have paper wallets and vanity addresses real soon. The vanity addresses was something I wanted to do for awhile but was too busy with MADEsparq development. How do I calculate the stake I'll have? Also, if I leave my wallet in cold storage for months/years, I shouldn't worry about loosing my base coins as well correct? if at max coinAge then it's about .25 * .015 * CGB balance Once you have your coins deposited then you can leave your coins in cold storage and not worry about it.

Maybe FiniteByDesign can get into the paper wallet business as well as the coin/bars business...
