121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know when to stop? on: September 27, 2017, 04:13:13 AM
I put limits to avoid unnecessary spending or stop when I lose 2-3 times in a row. I see no reason to try to recoup as this will lead to the loss of all money. You just need to take it as entertainment.

That's the best mindset every gambler need to follow through if you're that disciplined. There's no need fighting for what you've lost in gambling because you risk becoming an addict one day . It's best to know when to stop and the limit to which you can play or bet.

This might be the best mindset that every gambler needs but this is only applied to those who are not addicted into gambling, we all know that those who are addicted in gambling is having hard time controlling their selves and putting limit to how much money they will lose in just one day.
122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Trading vs Gambling on: September 27, 2017, 03:31:14 AM
But occasional trading also annoying, because if has floating minus long enough. So must be patient waiting to make profit even for only 5%. While in gambling, it looks so easy to reach 5%. but just sometimes.

That just sometimes is the key factor in gambling. It looks easy but you're not sure whether you can reach that 5% target or not in gambling. But in trading, if you do some research before investing than you will get a chance to reach that 5% profit range but it may take some time to reach your target profit. Money making always takes time and there are not instant options to earn profits without risking your money.

Correct. But again investing on trades can be a lot painful if shit happens. Well shit happens most of the time, just like what happened to doge. It went from 25-100+ sats back to 25sats a coin. What a bummer

Indeed mate.. that happened to me once and it really hurts for losing a big amount of money in trading. So now I'm always careful when putting money in trading and same goes with gambling I always make sure that I'm always in control.

Being in control in everything you do makes it easier to be profitable although, having randomness in some of what we do make it exciting and thrilling. You may say I'm a dreamer, but I am not the only one who seeks excitement in life.
You are not the only one who do seek excitement on life but most people for sure. Everything should be in control so that we wont able to make excess engagement with it which would really result into negative.Regarding on the topic i would say that trading is less riskier compared on gambling since we can able to learn the proper ways on how to trade to increase our chances on having a profitable trades unlike on gambling which is solely dependent on luck alone.
Every person has his own definition of fun. Some may find thrill and excitement in gambling while some love to do mountain climbing, skiing etc. It depends upon our nature. We all have different likings. Back to the topic, indeed trading involves less risk and more profit as compare to gambling. Once someone gets a good experience in this profession, he can earn good profits with respect.

True! That is why I prefer trading and taking it seriously and doing gambling just for entertainment. People who's been doing both can really say that there is a big difference between the two when it comes to making money and the loss. In trading if you will not sell your coin then you still have the chance to profit but with gambling when  you lose you can never get that money back.
123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you feel when win in gambling? on: September 26, 2017, 02:27:34 PM
I feel like I outsmart gambling owners for giving me free money. I feel that I want to thank them letting me play with so much fun and bringing home a good amount of cash in my pocket.

Haha I sometimes feel the same way too specially when I win big amount of money I feel like I have revenge with all the loses I had the previous days. Gambling is really fun for those people who do not take it that seriously.
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some government ban bitcoin? on: September 26, 2017, 11:08:37 AM
Government is trying to put down bitcoin because they are afraid that there will be plenty of people that will have a lot of money out of bitcoin and they can't collect tax from it.
125  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: September 26, 2017, 10:18:12 AM
of course the price matters. it matters for 90% of the people who bought their coins. if the price is stable more people are willing to convert their savings into bitcoin. which isn't the case right now.
You're right, it is also matters for those who will campaigns that will earn tokens that will convert it to bitcoin, the higher the bitcoin the large earning they will have.

I think if the price of bitcoin rises, they will be paid less in bitcoin.
Today bitcoin prices are not very volatile and look stable $ 3920 - $ 3950 bitcoin prices tend to go up and I'm sure prices later this year will reach $ 5000.
I've notice that too the price of bitcoin is on that range and I hope to see it go beyon $4,000 after few days and then will hit $5,000 by second week of October. Lets all cross our fingers.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My actual list of under radar coins - what u think ? on: September 26, 2017, 09:41:16 AM
I am only familiar with VIA coin I can say that this is a good coin to invest into and project is also interesting. I've heard about Shift too but not too familiar about it. I will try to start reading about the other coins you have so that I will have an idea if its worth to invest into that coins.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: STRATIS or WAVES or ARK? on: September 26, 2017, 03:12:13 AM
I have $500 left -

Which has the highest potential in the SHORT term (upto 6 months max)
- as I am gonna need some cash then.

STRATIS or WAVES or ARK?

Or........ETH/LTC (maybe??)

We really can't say that you will profit from these coins with the time span you are targeting but these coins are good coin and I believe these should be in long term base investment.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Whales are accumulating.. on: September 25, 2017, 10:24:41 AM
This scenario is not new in crypto and whales plays a big role in the market so for as long as you know that you invested in the right coin you don't need to worry anything.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [IML][ICO][BOUNTY] IMMLA ICO Bounty campaign on: September 25, 2017, 09:35:22 AM

130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What would you do with 10 eth on: September 25, 2017, 08:55:29 AM
10 eth is quite big amount of money and if I have some I will probably invest almost all in ICO's that is on eth platform to make more profit. Because as what I have observe most of the coin that is under platform pumps few months after its ICO specially when there is a good news.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Presale vs. ICO on: September 23, 2017, 11:24:10 PM
Hey folks,

i am wondering what are the differences between presale we see that often and an ICO. why do companies run a presale mostly with higher benefits compared to the following ICO? do investors have to stick to some kind of conditions afterwards? (hold at least for x month?) i dont assume that because ppl sometimes gather, group up to collect the minimum needed in a certain presale and participate. so what is so special about presale?

Most of the ICO conduct pre-sale so that they can collect money from people who is willing to invest in their company as early as they can with a big discount than the exact ICO.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO discussion on: September 23, 2017, 12:55:29 PM
You can still find a good ICO you just have to look further and dig dipper because most of the ICO's now has similarities so you have to find the best ones and study everything about it.
133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is amazing on: September 23, 2017, 10:10:09 AM
Hi guys,
I been sort of a enthusiast and involved in crypto since 2013 I think. I haven't been that active until last month when I really put tons of hours reading and catching up.
I have talked so much about crypto with family members that they ask me to save some funds for them in crypto and I believe BTC is the safest bet. I got some at 2700 but the price is going up like crazy, usually there is a correction but it seems BTC has a rocket in its behind Smiley
My question is for long term is it better to wait or is the price going to keep rising. Maybe we have a new bottom?
I know it's speculation but curious what people are thinking.

Other than that I'm glad to be a part of this great technology and promoting it.

Well if your goal is a higher return then its better to hold bitcoin in long term basis and yes corrections do come and even bad news just like what is happening right now. Bitcoin might touch again to the price when you bought it but rest assured that bitcoin will still go up and will skyrocket.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Effects of ICO ban in China on: September 23, 2017, 08:12:13 AM
Bitcoin and the rest of the crypto are now dumping hard because first China banned ICO's and they will be banning exchanges this September 30 my portfolio is looking really bad but I don't panic because I know crypto will survive.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: verge -XVG future price on: September 23, 2017, 06:50:23 AM
i only get to know xvg like last month? Never heard of it but yeah, missed out opportunity to buy @ 1 sat!
It would be nice if we can turn back time and get those tokens like omg, xvg or pay

I always knew about Verge last month and was able to buy it with averaging the last price I bought it was at 85 sats if only I knew this coin earlier then I would put a lot of money with it. Xvg is still cheap with a very big potential and strong community too so I think this coin will skyrocket maybe until 600 sats by end of the year.
136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does Bitcoin affect other Crypto? on: September 18, 2017, 12:20:56 AM
Yes bitcoin movement does affect altcoins every time bitcoin goes up most of altcoins goes down because people will tend to sell all their altcoin holdings to have bitcoin to convert into fiat and then they will wait for bitcoin to go down for them to buy plenty of bitcoin and of course since altcoins went down they can buy more altcoins too. Though there are some altcoins that goes up even bitcoin is going up but there are only few of them does that. But few months ago I've witnessed that bitcoin was going down and most of the altcoins are going up so for me we really can't know how the market move its very volatile and its unpredictable.
137  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Paano mo nalaman ang forum na bitcointalk.org ? on: September 16, 2017, 11:43:51 AM

138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: (XEM) NEM Speculation thread on: September 16, 2017, 11:03:54 AM
I see a lot of sideways for weeks and months now (in $).

NEM is conducting a lot of meeting in this month, they want to expand their business globally. Now many people believing in the NEM we can able some developments happening and meeting being conducted with other company delegates.

You are right they have update everyday with their events and there are some ICO's that are using their platform already. I can't wait for the future of nem I own some of this coin and I really believe that it will be great next year for nem.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you monitor your crypto portfolio? on: September 16, 2017, 10:15:01 AM
I use blockfolio to monitor the price in bitcoin and in my currency and then I use tabtrader if I want to read charts sometimes. This helps me to keep track all of them and I don't need to open the exchange which takes time.
140  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: MAY MGA POLITIKO DIN BA NA GUMAGAMIT NG BITCOIN? on: September 16, 2017, 04:24:39 AM
For sure meron yan ayaw lang nila siguro sabihin baka kasi dun nila ininvest ang pera nila at alam naman natin mahirap e trace ang pera mo kapag ito ay nilioat mo sa bitcoin.
