If I send my btt stake and NxtAE nemstake to same Nem account..how will it show up on the site of registered names? Will it just show the nickname, the nxt account or both?

both
1202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Beta is here/Phase 2 Redemption begins[Updates&Discussion] on: October 28, 2014, 07:18:31 AM
So I redeemed part of a stake through the AE process, then I forgot I had another open buy order and it filled.

I read the part earlier about how you would rather have all stakes redeemed at the same time, but will I be punished if I conduct another redemption transaction from the same NXT address? I'd rather do that than sell it.

Thanks for your time guys. And congrats on realizing the fruits of your hard labors.

We would have liked to have gotten all assets at once but noone gives a flying fart what we want  Undecided.
At this point ou can split them up if you want just like others did as well.

1. Is there a limit to the amount of AE stakes that can be registered per account? If yes, what is the limit?

2. When exactly is the cutoff date for registering stakes before the penalties begin?

1. No
2. Not yet defined. But it'll go at least another 2 weeks.
1204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Beta is here/Phase 2 Redemption begins[Updates&Discussion] on: October 27, 2014, 07:12:17 PM
Importance score
0.04%
importance of account to the NEM cloud

Is it the POI?

Spend some more NEMoney to be important correct?

It's not really that simple but you can try. It could boost your importance a bit but it also depends on what the rest of the network is doing.

When I click the start local harvesting button, it says "The provided account does not satisfy the basic criteria for harvesting. Mainly it is related to the amount of NEMs within the account. Harvesting starts with at least 1000 NEM." My account has +400,000 NEM. Any ideas?
you need to wait until the men are "Vested"

Exactly. Wait until the men are vested. Aint nobody got time for naked men !

We may well end up with 300-400 unclaimed stakes. That is pretty good by any standard!

Whats the latest on the use of unclaimed stakes and how does it differ from OP? I was following the discussion earlier but the thread has become so large since redemption started, I cant find the final result/decision

NEM will have a maximum of 4 000 000 000 coins, all distributed with the genesis block. Each NEM coin will be divisible to 6 figures (i.e. the smallest amount of NEM is 0.000001 NEM). The total supply will be distributed as follows:

71% - distributed to stakeholders on the final stakeholder list.
10% - reserved for the core development team to fund development of the NCC and NIS up to the release of V.1 of the blockchain.
10% - reserved for the core development team to fund development of the NCC and NIS after the release of V.1 of the blockchain.
5% - reserved for the extended development team; those who are working on promoting NEM and the NEM ecosystem.
4% - auctioned off at a later date.

You can't find the final decision because there hasn't been a final decision.

Is it okay to do two transactions, for redemption from AE, to one NEM address?

I first did a test with 0.1 NEM stake from AE to the redemption address (with my NEM address as message). Is it okay to sent the rest of the stakes to that same address or does that make things too difficult for you?

You're not the only one splitting up eventhough we asked people not to...at this point it doesn't matter anymore Smiley
1208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Beta is here/Phase 2 Redemption begins[Updates&Discussion] on: October 27, 2014, 01:39:22 PM
Is phase 2 only for those who have stake on the exchange or for everyone? Its not super clear :/

In general it's for both but it has only started for stakes on the AE. It will start for the rest on nov 1st.

If I update my standalone client (I don't use the default data directories) to 4.12, what file is needed to save my wallet?
Is it only this one:

wallet-name.wlt ?

Yes. Just that file.

Where are the recently created real NEM-address and my privat and publik key located? Are they also stored in this file?

They aren't stored for you, you need to store them somewhere safe and secret. It's simply a key-generator. Everytime you use it it will give you different values.

Thank's, good to know. If I understand right: does it mean that my real address and my secret key are later used like a seed to get my NEMs? And does it mean too, that I can create another (empty) real NEM address for later use, if I like?

It's not really a seed. You get an address and the privae key you receive is how you gain access to that address/account in which your NEMs will already be present after launch.

As soon as phase 2 starts for btt people both btt and AE poeple will be able to check on the registration portal.
It will display the NXT-addresses we've received NEMStake from and the first 2 block of the NEM-address that is stored in our db.
If you have the priv key to that address then all is good and there is no need to worry.

PS: I'm only going to show the first 2 block because I think some people might not find it very nice to show the whole thing due to privacy concerns.

I think you can show in that case the whole nem address because you already post the nxt address, from there you can follow the stream anyway. https://nxtblocks.info/#section/accountId/NXT-97MX-EWKV-CGKX-DA5WH

If you would care about privacy in the first place you would have allowed encrypted messages. So than make at least everything public, transparency is also fine  Grin

It's not public for stakeholders on BTT. Also It'd be more convienent to grap all pairs simply from a webpage then from the blockchain (not much but still).

I've just claimed my (partial) stake from the AE.  Everything went well untill I had to re-enter my private key to make sure it was the right one.  I re-entered it after saving to clipboard (and a text editor) and it said the private key was wrong which can't be true...  a) How can this be possible? b) What if the shit hits the fan and I can't claim my stake due to this fault (somewhere)?

(in worst case scenario I can always prove everything (with screenshots and everything) I just wrote to the person...human, who sends out the actual NEM.)

you mean you took the address sent it off with your stake and only then went back to copy the details and save them?

seriously?

Yes, I'm afraid so.  But I really really don't understand how this fault could have happened because I just copied everything straight to a txt document.  Is there a way you can send my stake to a new address (which does fit and work) instead of the one that will never be claimed?  As I stated above: I can provide you with screenshots and info.  I can prove that the wrong adress was sent from the original NXT account that received the NEM stake.

What is it now ? Did you save it right away or did you copy it later on ?
When you say "it said the priv-key was wrong" - what exactly does that mean ? Did you get a different address or did you reall get an error message ?

Let's clarify these things before changing the redemption address.

I think he is saying he copied his details, but when it asks you to enter your PK to ensure you have the right info it said it was wrong.

"I've just claimed my (partial) stake from the AE.  Everything went well untill I had to re-enter my private key to make sure it was the right one"

"re-entered it after saving to clipboard"

by the sounds of it he created the data > redeemed his stake > saved data(copied to clipboard and text editor) > realised it was wrong > posted here.

Maybe. The day of redemption is going to be flooded in here with people not recieving coins I am sure of it. Just hope I did everything right and I am not one of those people.

We're currently at 1626 redeemed stakes including NEMStake form the AE that was already returned (each tx counting as 1, regardles of the ammount of assets).

Let's break those 2k until launch !

In the NIS config.properties files it has a key section and node, is this something that is being developed? Can NIS boot automatically without the need for NCC?

Youre able to do this since the second or third alpha release I think.
You put a priv-key into config.properties and I think there is another setting that actually actives auto-boot. After that NIS will boot automatically.

Thanks, I'll give this a go. At the moment I'm playing with Xming to send the X window from the Pi to my MS Win laptop. One of the reasons I bought the RPi was to learn more about Linux in an inexpensive way

KC

Renting a low-power vps for 1 month or 2 would have been even less expensive but of course the Pi is yours forever and very versatile Smiley
What OS is running on that Pi and what does your network look like ?

Damn i feel like i missed that train  Embarrassed

I was in spreadsheet but all NXTL threads were locked and didn't know about this one at all(!)... but i was asking for putting my new account there in topics on NXTL.EU page! And it still didn't appear on spreadsheet and now NXTL.EU is dead...

Since i looked a bit on this thread it looks like i'm now a second category member who missed distribution just because someone didn't put my new account nr as i requested on legit Node page. That sucks people. It's not a proper way to treat early adopters, investors, supporters.

What can i do now? Could someone help me?

You missed it because you missed it not because someone didn't put your name on some list. There were others that had similar problems (afaik) and those people simply contacted koop4u and it was corrected. You either didn't bother doing that or didn't pay enough attention to notice your not on the list. Don't put this on other people.

Is NEM stake from BTT can be redeemed already? I guess it was answered multiple times already, but still... so much information - I got lost.
And if yes, which guide do I have to use? The One for the Phase 2 from the OP?  Huh

P.S. I got my token and registered it as it should be in Phase 1.

If you only have the stake on btt (seems that way since you received a token) then phase 2 hasn't started for you yet. It will on nov 1st. Monitor the thread, twitter and forum.nemcoin.com to find more information once it starts.
1220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Beta is here/Phase 2 Redemption begins[Updates&Discussion] on: October 25, 2014, 11:31:29 AM
Hey everybody.

I think that some kind of warning should be placed in the description of the NEMstake asset (here: https://nxtblocks.info/#section/assets_exchange/stakeholders/12465186738101000735), so people know that it will be worth nothing in the near future unless they follow the procedure to redeem it for real NEM.

Maybe something like: "This asset will be worthless after XXXX date. The keep the value inherent to this asset, follow this instructions ASAP: [link to the phase 2 redemption stage]"

This way we can keep the number of unclaimed NEMstakes to a minimum.

I think that majority of the people is well aware of this. They are just waiting and trying to squeeze the most of the profits out of it by trading and they are also hoping for the big price increase in the last week.

Nevertheless it should be done, just so the people can't complain if they forget!!  Smiley

You cannot change the description once it is written in there.

It is possible to send a message to every stakeholder.

Maybe from the issuer but the issuer is UP and as you probably noticed he isn't here very often these days Smiley

No need to be issuer to send messages to stakeholder NXT accounts. Everyone can send messages to everyone from personal NXT account.

I thought there was a function for an issuer to automatically message all holders if his asset.
You mean to manually send a message to all holder of NEMStake ?
