1201  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin have just dropped $20 in less than an hour. What happened ? on: December 23, 2016, 10:49:24 PM
Indeed, anyone that is panicking for 20, even 50 dollar drops is a complete newbie. We are back on track and the 12 hour graph is looking sexy. We are no doubt going towards a new ATH. We are looking at 1000 hours away from now, at any time it can kick in and we may start seeing a big long ass green candle. Of course I would like controlled growth but this is bitcoin, this is extreme disruption and the price is also wild.
1202  Economy / Speculation / Re: That's time that's sure : we are in a pump on: December 23, 2016, 10:36:47 PM
And down we go. See you at low $800s high $700s.

Look again. You guys got warmed, but of course you wouldn't listen. We are now at 915 and rising. This rocket is going for a new ATH and there's no stopping, and once we cross ATH we will stablish a new floor. Feels good to be holding bitcoin this time. Last time we went to the moon I was still a noob, now i am ready for take off and enjoying the trip to jupiter.
1203  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another nice dip to feed whales or buy more on: December 23, 2016, 10:30:59 PM
And there you have it. Whales have been accumulating for the past hours on that great 876 dip, sharks have also took the opportunity to buy more and be carried with precious bitcoin as we march towards a new ATH, and now all the noobs that sold at the bottom of 876 are left with no bitcoins at all. We are now past the last 913 peak, currently surpassed it at 915 dollars. The show must go on.
1204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: December 23, 2016, 05:13:21 PM
Sevilla match is 7-1 am I imagining the score or is that for real?
I don't even think sportsbooks have odds for that many goals in a match and such out of balance. Undecided

Just checked, you definitely weren't imagining it because it's 8-1 now Grin
I'm guessing their opposition must be in a much lower league in Spain.

I think in that country there is an huge level gap between teams because of barca and madrid. They have the world superstars of the sport, the rest feel like they are 2nd tier next to those 2. Of course you can find some very good players in atletico and sometimes in valencia but the huge gap is still there when compared to the top 2. Btw barca was able to win easily vs hercules, I didnt bet tho..
1205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you gamble your (or your child's) school fund? on: December 23, 2016, 05:05:02 PM
Well, I would say that I did this back in 2014. My mother already deposited all the money I need to pay for school for the year and also some allowance for my daily needs. I gambled around half of it on NBA odds. I lost that half. So I lived on really cheap food and really avoided buying anything. I even tried to avoid buying things I need like books just to save money. Was a gruesome year for me, luckily I got through. Wouldn't do that again.

How bout you guys, would you do it?

I did this too way back 2012 when I was still in college and I spent 25% of my total fund for paying my tuition fee. Since I am that active with e-sports  betting because I was once a Dota player. Unfortunately, what happened is I lost that amount and that's why I stopped studying by that year because the cashier doesn't want to accept my payment unless I will pay in full.  Cry

I remember wasting a lot of time back in the day trying to become a professional starcraft:bw gamer. It was when e-sports where still very underground in the west and you were labelled a weirdo/nerd for even implying making a living off competitive gaming was a viable idea. I realized it was a waste of time. It's simply impossible to outcompete those damn asians. The south koreans are the best at those games and they get tons of resources to train all day.

I know that feeling of yours with my Dota-Dota 2 experience but it seems that it is not really for me because my parents are blaming me now for addicted to it. And if not just because of it I was able to graduate earlier and I don't have to stop. But I am already on the competitive scene by that time but because of that incident I realize that the money that was being gave by my parents to me for my school fees came from their hard work. That's why I decided to quit 2015.

If you are making good money with competitive gaming I would say that you should continue playing, but if you aren't a top player at age 20 then just forget about it because it's a waste of time. Also the thing with competitive gaming is the games don't last much, they always switch to whatever new games are trendy instead of playing the same game for 10+ years like they used to do with starcraft before the new starcraft 2 was released which btw looks like it was shit compared to the classic bw.
1206  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another nice dip to feed whales or buy more on: December 23, 2016, 05:00:01 PM
You are trying to persuade people to buy at these levels?  Grin

It has gone up too fast. There will be some profit taking and hopefully the price will stabalise here for a few months. Pumps are not a good thing, they rob the innocent.

Im not trying to make peopel buy or anything, im just saying that bitcoin is ver undervalued, I don't care if it corrects now, 1000+ is innevitable, i don't care if it's next year or tomorrow, bottomline is, we DON'T know how low it will correct, so you may miss the boat by waiting for a perfect buying price that never comes. Now we do KNOW that new ATH is inevitable, so may not want to gamble with waiting for lower prices to get in. Just get in and wait.
1207  Economy / Speculation / Re: I sold half of my coins on: December 23, 2016, 04:22:19 PM
They were bought between 5 and 30 USD.

Sell when everyone is greedy!
I smell another dump.  Daily RSI  should drop more.

Guess what!  I opened short position.  AGAIN.

Added some more shorts.

BULL trend IS OVER. Mark my words.

It will.  Price will drop.

I told you so. Sell we are going under 700$

Ups, looks like OP fucked up big time. He probably has sold a lot of coins in the past missing all the recent gains, and now he will miss all the gains as we go towards a new ATH. This guy fell for the "sell when everyone is greedy" meme and not only this but he fails to read when greed is kicking in. We are just returning where BTC naturally belongs, and that is 4+ figures!
1208  Economy / Speculation / Another nice dip to feed whales or buy more on: December 23, 2016, 04:18:16 PM
We tested 913 last night and now we are have a nice little correction to 870, smart people will buying the dips all the way towards the new ATH and the idiots that keep panic selling will miss the ride. It's a shame how they can never learn and fall victims of whales. You are feeding whales your cheap BTC by selling, but as always, everyone can't be saved. Merry xmas everyone, see you at 1000+!!
1209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's about time to start rewarding full nodes on: December 23, 2016, 04:06:45 PM
Bitcoin currently only have around 5k full nodes, this is less than back in 2013, when we were hovering around 7k full nodes.

As the chain is getting huge, quickly. It's no longer trivial to host such big blockchain, the disk space and bandwidth expense is quite high.

We will need to start discuss rewards for hosting a full node that stores the full blockchain, they add a lot of value to Bitcoin and it's unfair that they have to do it for free.

Beside the blockchain getting bigger, one of the main reasons that bitcoin nodes went down overtime is a pretty obvious one: in the begining if you wanted to use bitcoin you had to run a node yes or yes since bitcoin qt was the only wallet in existence. As more wallets with no waiting time to sync like electrum were released naturally the nodes went down. This is dangerous, so we should indeed think about ways to incentive people to run nodes, but its not as easy as it seems. Incentivizing people to run certain nodes with money is also a very tricky scenario... it should be on people's best interest to run nodes if they want their investment to survive overtime.
1210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you believe banks will work with Bitcoin, you're delusional on: December 23, 2016, 04:00:39 PM
Sooner or later banks will attack at full force meaning that they will ally with governments and put on a full ban on bitcoin, by then we must have a software that is censorship resistant, decentralized and ready os pread the nodes in countries where its legal and also illegal to run nodes but running them through masked networks like tor. We can't never give up no matter what, banks will never cooperate they will attack so be ready.
1211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Worst ICO ever? on: December 21, 2016, 03:38:04 PM
Just have a look at this:

https://cyber.fund/radar

You can start a google spreadsheet and get some data real quick with the before and afters. The % of icos that end up below market price are the majority, therefore it's like winning the lottery when you actually manage to buy an ICO that goes above where you bought at. From the most recent ones, it seems Iconomy is the one that is performing the most. The supply is reasonable and the graphic is looking really healthy.

1213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: December 21, 2016, 02:53:01 PM
To be honest I know nothing about that Hercules team, I think they will be goaled hard by Barca, it might be a good bet to put on a lot of money on Barca and even if the odds are low you still can make decent money by risking tons of money. Of course sometimes the underdog wins. I remember in the Hillary vs Trump bet Hillary had the best odds and some people lost half a million dollars when Trump won..
1214  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we start new year in $800+ or remain in $700+ on: December 21, 2016, 02:37:32 PM
Looks like we might start the year at $1000 at this rate. We are already 820 and growing. In a couple of hours we could be testing 900's... good times for the smart people that didn't listen to the fud and kept buying and storing BTC for the past year. if you did your homework you should be enjoying great gains right now, and we have not even started yet, real party begins at ATH+
1215  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1000+ is anytime now on: December 21, 2016, 01:56:42 PM
We are going to see a big surge in price and it will happen in a course of days, remember that last time we went from 600 to 1000 it took less than 15 days, so once it starts pumping and we get in the 800 territory, panic buy will kick in, 800 and 900 will go out quick and we will be sitting at 1000+, some people will panic sell at 1000+, it will correct a little, less than people think, then the people that missed the boat will jump in as soon as it goes below 1000, pushing the price to the next ATH.

Just as I predicted here, as soon as we have broken 800, this train is going only up, in fact this is not a train anymore, this is now a rocket. We are sitting at 817 right now in a matter of hours, give it more time and we'll be at 900+. Remember that bitcoin is insanely undervalued because most people are idiots that still don't see the point of owning them. As they discover it and it "clicks" within their brain, it will expand and more and more people will join the winning team.
1216  Economy / Speculation / Re: touch down to 800$ is near on: December 21, 2016, 01:20:31 PM
We are at 813 dollars right now. Looks like all the people that said that we were going to break 800 then quickly start growing because of the beaten physiological fears where right. This is a total rally and now sky is the limit. New ATH will be there in no time, remember that last time we went from 300 to 1200 in a matter of 10 days, everything is possible.
1217  Economy / Speculation / Re: If we didnt had idiots blocking segwit we would be sittting on 4 figures by now on: December 21, 2016, 12:58:42 PM
Lmao this is the ultimate reasoning that /r/btc nutjobs can reach. And then when they claim blockstream and segwit is a "bankster trojan horse" then that's perfectly fine to say and it's not conspiracy theory nonsense. Always the same fucking bullshit. When /r/btc says something like that it's legitimate and not a conspiracy.

Get real, the fact people that know better than you all agree on segwit needing to be activated before a blocksize increase doesn't mean that they are all together against you and are all bought by "the banks". In fact, if someone is working for banks, then that's Roger Ver and the rest of people wanting to raise the block size to make the network less decentralized by making running nodes way difficult for common people, and by not activating segwit which would give us endless possibilities to make bitcoin more anonymous. But you keep thinking you are a smartass and AA and the rest are all compromised by the banks lmao.

....someone is getting desperate...  Roll Eyes

I'm not saying AA is necessarily corrupt. I don't judge people by what they say but what they do instead. He gives really good lectures, this for example. However, there is no way for me to know the absolute truth about AA. I just cannot blindly follow him. For that reason I have done my own research about SegWit and the block size issue and I have come to a conclusion that SegWit must not be accepted as a package of many features all at once. Instead, those features should be judged one by one by the community. So I reject SegWit, I hope it never gets accepted in its current form and I will do everything I see rational to prevent it from happening.

Ideally, the Core team would discard SegWit and deliver a fix to TX malleability in an elegant hard-fork style. Nothing else. Just that. One by one they should offer the enhancements to the community. I would like to have TX malleability fixed, then a large TX DOS attack vector (signature verification CPU consumption), followed by the block size increase. Hard fork is totally OK and there will be consensus when the bug fixes are offered one by one.

There is nothing wrong about fixing TX malleability and signature verification DOS vulnerability. I don't think anyone would oppose them. So let the Core team deliver a fix to these two as a proper hard fork. After that we can start thinking of ways to increase the block size. There is absolutely nothing to be afraid of regarding hard forks if they are activated only after super consensus is reached. Detection of super consensus is rather trivial anyway.

So, all in all, I just see through the bullshit regarding SegWit and I oppose it. My vote is against it because I do what I see best serving the Bitcoin network. I don't take this debate personally. I do what I see best fit for Bitcoin and you feel free to do what you think is the best for Bitcoin. In the end we "count the votes", see whose opinion was amongst the majority and we move on with our lives, hoping that the majority made the right decision.

The elegant solution is segwit precisely because it doesn't require a hard fork. There's nothing cool about a hard fork, it's the opposite of elegant. Also you are asking for things that don't make sense technically. Segwit is everything that's needed to fix transaction malleability and so on, and it will make the LN better and allow us to have Schnorr sigs and other cool stuff that anyone that isn't a troll or stupid would agree to add at a protocol level.
1218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If bitcoin prices rise up to $100,000, will you still gamble using bitcoins? on: December 20, 2016, 06:40:51 PM
There is no point for anyone to stop gambling when price will be even as high as $1 million per coin. When price per coin will pump hard most of the bitcoin casino will lower their minimum bet size and maximum too. If price will be $100,000 as you have said, there will be no any single bitcoin casino which will have 0.001BTC minimum bet size rule.

It's all the same, people that want to gamble will gamble no matter what price bitcoin is trading at. They will just gamble with smaller quantities.. I dont see what the problem is. And even if you get rich by holding BTC for 10 years, you will still want to gamble, rich people gamble a lot too, in fact the richer you are the more you gamble, look at mayweather or dan bilzerian and all those guys.

Obvously not, that is just freaking insane. When you are given money to do something for free, you should not gamble it in a damn casino, and it still aplies to the market casino, you should have used it for its initial purpose. Studying within itself is an investment in yourself. Of course, studying and working sucks when there are people making tons of money on the internet, but I have always failed to set up a website or whatever and get money, so im stuck with a god damn job.
1220  Economy / Economics / Re: How to make 17 BTC out of 7 BTC ? on: December 20, 2016, 06:23:49 PM
My friend had fantastic look when he decided to spend 5 BTC in the begining of the Ethereum Classic pump. He moved all of his ETH net worth too into ETC, waited for the pump, and sold right at the peak, he went from 5 to 15 BTC in a matter of time. Of course, he admited that he had a lot of luck... so that's what you need, a good plan, and luck, tons of luck.
