1201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 15, 2023, 06:18:08 PM
Of course we are all expected to side Liverpool in a match like this.  Liverpool indeed seems favourite but one thing is that the season is already in it's limit point and anything surprising is bound to happen. From an early view, Tottenham was the favorite team to win in their clash against Leicester City but a complete reverse occurred and Tottenham ended up losing 4 goals to Leicester. Liecesterhasnt won in their last 3 matches and Will be playing home in this match. I know Liverpool is strongly anticipating overthrowing Manchester United,  but I can not bet boldly on Liverpool to win this match.
Leicester are not a tough opponent, but they still have big plans to win the game and get out of the relegation zone. Liverpool's performance which is doing well will sink Leicester's mission, but I think underestimating Leicester and their ambition is a bad thing.

I don't expect much bad to happen to Manchester United in the next few games, but I might be happy if Liverpool can finally return to the Champions League next season. Winning against Leicester today will put Manchester United under pressure, but I don't think they will be too troubled against Bournemouth this weekend.
1202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: May 15, 2023, 05:46:18 PM
I also thought too if arsenal  does not  win Europa league,  Manchester United will win it but this two  Premier league teams failed to be consistent in  their games.  I can see Sevilla have been targeting Europa league championship and they are really working towards it to achieve it.
I also see Sevilla as a candidate who can win the Europa League this season, but actually this cannot be decided unilaterally. Because Juventus and Roma also still have the same chance for that so this is still difficult to predict now. Roma and Juventus will also make improvements to their game in the second leg later because considering the result of the match in the second leg is decisive for them to advance to the Europa League final this season.
The four surviving teams are candidates to win the Europa League Trophy, they still have the same chance before the second leg starts including Leverkusen who lost to Roma in the first leg. Of the four remaining teams, Sevilla is the most surprising team. Their performance in La Liga was not as expected, but in the Europa League they were able to provide competition with a different appearance. The second leg will be played at Sevilla headquarters, the last victory over Valladolid is a good capital to finish the match with a victory.

While Mourinho has prepared his team ahead of the second leg at Leverkusen headquarters, Mourinho has chosen to rest several important players in the last game Roma played in Serie A so they can perform optimally at Leverkusen headquarters. Roma only need a draw to advance to the final. Mourinho experience has been in several important matches while coaching other teams, he prefers to adopt a total defensive strategy to reduce attacks from the opposing team.

In the second leg, Sevilla benefited from playing in front of their supporters, while Roma had a 1-0 victory in the first leg. In general, Sevilla and Roma have the opportunity to qualify for the final round, but Juventus and Leverkusen also don't want their fate to end in the semifinals. The second leg will be more interesting than the first leg because all the teams have the same goal, they will give their best performance to be the best on the Europa League stage this season.
I'm sure Sevilla and Roma will both advance to the Europa League final this season. I didn't expect the two Serie A teams to meet in the final. The two candidates from the domestic league should have clashed in the final this season.

Sevilla is the most favorite team in the second leg which will be played at their home. I'm not underestimating Juventus, but Sevilla have a good record that needs to be considered before deciding who deserves to be favourites. Sevilla's form is good, Juventus is also good in the last match. If two La Liga teams reach the European final this season, then of course it is proof that Spain still dominates Europe.

So far I haven't been very strict about setting aside an emergency fund and I can tell you it's pretty flexible from one month to another. I mean, the amount can vary as the needs that I have to fulfill each month increase or not. But of course I wish I could put it aside every month as long as I have my salary paid out at the beginning of the month even if it's only a few percent of the amount I've managed to save. Part of it I think is good for investment, and part of it as an emergency fund.

You do not need to be adding to your "cash reserves" or your "emergency fund" every month once you get to a kind of sustainable level.  I recall at one point in my life when I was single (no business and no family) that I had a monthly cashflow cushion of $500 (which just meant that the lowest point that the checking account balance projection would ever get would be $500)... but that did not account for other places in which I might have to draw if my income dried up or my expenses increased.  When I added a business then I had to increase that $500 amount to $1,500 and there were times that I went up higher and down lower, and sometimes when I would lower it too much then I would see that I was getting into "pickles" too frequently, so I would raise it order to lessen my chances of getting into "pickles.".. so cash cushion is one thing and then how much in reserves is another thing - and if you are having to dip into your reserves frequently, and if you are always (or frequently) into the practice of engaging in replenishing it, then it may well be a sign that it is NOT high enough.. or something is wrong with your balancing of factors, your life style or maybe just the various ways of your income are really inconsistent or your expenses are "all over the place.".. it might also be a sign that you are overly investing into BTC (or whatever other investments that you might have) .

I would imagine that it would be preferable to get to a position in which you are not bouncing around a lot (sure some bouncing is probably not a bad sign in terms of needing to be somewhat aggressive and not overly whimpy in terms of how much you are investing into risky assets - such as bitcoin), and so it is not necessarily easy to strike something close to a balance - and the ultimate goal would be that you are choosing how much to invest into bitcoin based on "extra" cashflow that comes from income and/or fewer expenses, rather than every month struggling to replenish your emergency funds that are already overly depleted... and of course, those are judgement calls in which you have to figure out your own proper, appropriate and comfortable balancing.
I understand that I may mess up this plan in the future when one or two cash flows from multiple sources suddenly dry up. However, I have learned many things from the experiences of the people around me, including maybe some of your experiences in managing finances. This management sometimes won't go according to what we plan, but trying to avoid mistakes in the sense of managing it properly must be attempted.

Children need a lot of things and expenses will increase along they grow up. Just a few days ago my emergency fund had to be reduced due to a need that I can say is urgent, but I have to be grateful it doesn't exceed 10% of the total cash I have as an emergency fund. As I said before, I'm pretty flexible about this plan, and probably won't always oblige myself to consistency on the plan.
1204  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to invest in BTC? on: May 15, 2023, 04:52:24 PM
Bitcoin price will definitely move towards higher levels as we assume Bitcoin halving starts every four years.
The impact of the halving on the bitcoin price is something that may repeat itself in a 4 year cycle. I agree halving can affect the price significantly as they have happened in previous halving cycles. The price up as demand increases and it has been a profitable for miners although the block reward has been lower from each halving.

Bad effects may have occurred on the network had the bitcoin price not gone higher after the halving. Obviously higher mining costs will force miners to exit first because mining revenue and consumption costs are not balanced, so this will definitely hurt the bitcoin network which might make its network security down. Due to some of these things, bitcoin is expected to go higher after the halving so that miners will survive which in itself will make the bitcoin network stronger from a 51% chance of attack.
1205  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: May 14, 2023, 03:01:00 PM
My guess is anyone who has an investment in bitcoin without having an emergency fund in fiat, then sooner or later they will sell their bitcoin. At least 20% - 40% of the total investment budget must be saved as an emergency fund, this will definitely help them if an emergency occurs.

I am not sure if there is a need to set aside any kind of specific amount (on a regular basis) in order to maintain your emergency fund, yet there are a variety of ways to assess whether your emergency fund is enough, including some kinds of considerations that if your cashflow were to dry up for six months could you still survive?
So far I haven't been very strict about setting aside an emergency fund and I can tell you it's pretty flexible from one month to another. I mean, the amount can vary as the needs that I have to fulfill each month increase or not. But of course I wish I could put it aside every month as long as I have my salary paid out at the beginning of the month even if it's only a few percent of the amount I've managed to save. Part of it I think is good for investment, and part of it as an emergency fund.

My cash flow has been good because I have a salary based job. I'm thankful that bitcointalk gives me an additional source of income even though it won't be mine forever. As long as I can manage it properly and don't interfere with each other between expenses, investments and emergency funds then I will do it. But in advance, sorry for the slow response.

Ultimately we are in charge of exercising our own judgements, including needing to take responsibility if we screw things up, and whether or not others are hurt from our mismanagement of our finances is part of the process of taking responsibility, hopefully learning along the way and hopefully improving our practices along the way.
Yes, we are responsible for all the risky or possibly profitable decisions we make. It's just that we always hope that it will only lead us to always be on the good side financially without forgetting the risks in the practice.

Even though it's a crucial game for Manchester City, I don't want them to beat Everton. However, if Arsenal wins today, I think it will seriously help and boost the morale of the players. At the very least, they will have high hopes of winning the Premier League. And now that Manchester City has scored, I'm hoping that Everton will equalize. and now that Manchester City has scored their second goal, I no longer believe there is any chance for Everton to win because I see additional goals.  Grin Manchester City simply has a unique method for degrading opponents. first half and they have two goals already. second Everton should expect more attacks and more goals.
As we have seen together, it is too difficult for Everton to stop Manchester City in their race to win the Premier League title this season. Everton may have slowed the game tempo as long as Manchester City haven't found a goal, but there was absolutely no point when Gundogan and Haaland both found goals in the first half.

You couldn't expect Everton to equalize if Manchester City didn't reduce the intensity of their attacks in the second half. The advantage of 2 goals will make it easier for Manchester City to control the course of the match which will probably maintain that advantage until the match ends. Everton are too weak to expected for even though they plan this game as difficult as possible for the away team.

Many were disappointed with AC Milan's performance in the first leg, yes, they seemed to have lost motivation in the game so defeat was inevitable. In the second leg they will play an away match, and they have to chase 2 goals to equalize first. 2 goals is not an easy thing for them to score in a competitive match like this with Inter Milan's motivation and opportunities being bigger, because they only need to get a draw to become one of the clubs competing in the final.

AC Milan will have to implement a change in strategy in the second leg later if they want to open up their chances. They have to be able to score goals quickly, which is not easy, but with hard work and with a little luck they will be able to do it.
I am also disappointed with the final result of the first leg of the semi-final between Milan vs Inter. I didn't expect Milan to lose 0-2 on aggregate to Inter because basically I expected Milan to impress. But after all, Inter are a team that is also good at winning so their victory was well deserved for the same purpose.

Milan could still force Inter to lose 0-2 in the second leg and the match entered extra time. I was sure about that scenario if Milan really pressed from the start and scored an early goal in the first half. But still, Inter are a team that might be hard to stop after they went 2-0 on aggregate, meaning they will fight their way through to the final without too many problems.

Didn't expect Nottingham to be above the relegation zone and be able to draw with Chelsea... Chelsea are really bad... With a game like that, they could end up in the relegation zone next season too... What is surprising is that they have a lot of good players in the team and such terrible results... Villa, on the other hand, have pleasantly surprised this season... They now have the same points as Spurs and have a chance of qualifying for the Conference League next season...
Chelsea are too bad at finishing even though they had some good chances compared to Nottingham. Sterling scored 2 goals, but in the end Chelsea could do little to prevent a 2-2 draw at home. This was yet another match that proved Lampard is not a coach who can help Chelsea out of their poor form this season so I don't think he has had much of an impact.

The next match is against Manchester City, so I think Chelsea's chances of winning are just very tough. There isn't much hope for Chelsea this season other than just trying to stay in the Premier League and not get relegated, and that's what they've been trying to do.
1210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: May 12, 2023, 05:39:17 PM
@LordShanken do you not understand football or what's happen on with you?

This is La Liga, man, not another competition that allowed Real Madrid to come back after 14 points behind Barcelona only in the next 5 matches. There are no knockout stages in the La Liga format, the format is all about how many points you can collect in 38 match to win the title, qualify for the Champions League, qualify for the Europa League, stay for another season or you will be relegated.
1211  Economy / Economics / Re: Concers About Going in Business with a Friend on: May 12, 2023, 05:12:02 PM
Money can indeed be the thing that makes us lose everything including close friends and even family relationships, humans will become greedy because they are tempted to live in luxury and no longer care about the value of friendship, but the interesting thing about this story is why it's too easy for friends to take all assets and there is no control from the owner.
Your question will be answered by how financial management is carried out between the two people. You may have to trust your partner in the same business and build it together since you both have a share in the business fund. So it's natural for both of them to have access to a business account or budget, and that allows for the case above.

Businesses that are built by collaborating together in management will generally be divided when one of them is too selfish in managing finances. I have seen many examples around me where in the end the two collaborators were separated to have their own business and even compete with each other. But of course, not all of them will be like that because there are also businesses that really thrive because of good cooperation.
1212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 12, 2023, 04:30:46 PM
I personally would also favor Manchester City in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid. But even so, I'm also not really sure about the superiority of Manchester City, which will host the second leg later. Because Real Madrid does have a different mentality from other teams. They will literally fight to the last second. Even last season Manchester City had to swallow a very bitter defeat because Real Madrid managed to turn things around in the last minutes in the second leg of last season's semi-finals.

But I really hope that at least for this season I want to see Manchester City finally able to stand in the final round and lift the trophy for the first time. Because there have been too many hard struggles for them to run aground in the middle of the road. This season even I see Manchester City have a better level of play than last season.
Don't just rely on the mentality and experience that Real Madrid have in the Champions League when they meet a team like Manchester City. I'm afraid Real Madrid will really lose at the Etihad if Manchester City play like the first leg at the Bernabeu. They are not an easy team to beat like Chelsea and Liverpool, but the quality of Mancester City is very different.

Real Madrid really relied on Thibaut Courtois' good performance to save the net from conceding many goals in the first leg. I know Real Madrid defenders are good at anticipating attacks, but without Thibaut Courtois' brilliance I think we could have conceded more than 2 goals in the first leg. Ancelotti has some of homework for the second leg, so I think it's true that Real Madrid may not be favourites, but I hope the result is different.
1213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: May 12, 2023, 04:17:34 PM
If the Barcelona team cannot secure the La Liga title then the team seems to be in serious financial trouble. Because Barcelona could not secure any other league title for the past few seasons. So if they fail to secure the La Liga title after performing so well, the team will be in a bit of trouble indeed.
Barcelona has almost confirmed the title this season, they are just waiting for the time to celebrate.
look at the current La Liga standings, why should you doubt Barcelona can win the title this season, they are already very far ahead in points.
Barcelona only need 3 points to secure the title this season and celebrate even though La Liga is not over yet. There is no doubt about the odds at all with 99.99% already owned by Barcelona but if someone is still in doubt then maybe they just want to bet with 0.01 odds.

Expecting Barcelona to fail to win the La Liga title this season after winning so many points over Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid is something that might be ridiculous, even I myself never expected it even though I am a supporter of Real Madrid. There is no miracle for Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid this season to win the La Liga title, so forget about that.
1214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 11, 2023, 06:06:55 PM

It's true that Manchester City have never lost at home and they always manage to beat their opponents when they host. If we look at the matches in the previous rounds this season when Manchester City played away games against Bayern Munich and also Leipzig, most of them always ended in draws and most recently they also managed to hold Real Madrid to a draw at the Santiago Bernabeu.

It seems that Manchester City will still be favored to win at home regardless of what will happen, but still their opponent is Real Madrid, which sometimes can turn things around even at home. This will be a place to prove whether Manchester City is able to maintain its unbeaten record at home or Real Madrid manages to break this record at home to Manchester City later.
I don't understand why Real Madrid tends to be underestimated in the second leg later. I actually see probabilities that are very unfair about the two teams as Manchester City seem to be the absolute favourites. For now, anyone can say anything now, one thing for sure I'll be waiting for the result in 90 minutes. I'm still optimistic we can reach a third final in three years in a row with Ancelotti, hopefully.

1215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: May 11, 2023, 06:00:29 PM
Calculatingly chasing Barcelona is tough, Anceloti thinks realistically and I think any coach would think like that. In addition, Osasuna is statistically below Real Madrid, so Anceloti is very confident of winning. This is also done in the UCL in several matches Anceloti always rotates even though he does not do it fully, he always gives rest to some important players due to old age. It should be that if he is in Madrid next season he will do a lot of player spending.
I think Real Madrid is just playing to maintain prestige for the rest of the season without thinking about the title.
La Liga is very likely to be won by Barcelona this season and they are very close to celebrating. So Real Madrid only needs to play to win and maintain its prestige as a top team which is also the king of the Champions League. In fact the Champions League semi-final match is much more important than playing the maximum in all La Liga matches for the rest of the season.

Real Madrid will host Getafe this weekend, it's a win for us. I have to, I hope Real Madrid can really win it even if we lost to Sociedad in the previous match. Real Madrid's form may not be all that good given that Ancelotti will likely field a back-up squad and rest several key players for the second leg of the semi-final.

Practice can bring a lot of improvements, and sometimes it could take a few years to really start to get used to how aggressive a person might be able to be without becoming overly aggressive in terms of how much to invest in bitcoin, how much to use for expenses and how much to keep in some other kinds of emergency funds that might not be linked to the price of bitcoin, but instead linked to the fiat currency in which expense might be accounted,
JayJuanGee, what you say is certainly highly recommended for any investor. I believe each of them need not put their budget 100% on bitcoin without diversifying their budget elsewhere. Even having some fiat reserves is recommended so that when they need money they don't have to ruin their long term investment plans. In the case of buy on dip and hold, selling bitcoins at a time of urgency should be avoided, so to be sure, adjusting or diversifying the budget is required. The emergency fund is mandatory instead of continuously growing the investment portfolio.

My guess is anyone who has an investment in bitcoin without having an emergency fund in fiat, then sooner or later they will sell their bitcoin. At least 20% - 40% of the total investment budget must be saved as an emergency fund, this will definitely help them if an emergency occurs.
1217  Economy / Reputation / Re: Are they too high quality so easy to rank up? on: May 11, 2023, 05:09:49 PM
But I feel that being able to get merit is very difficult even though there are several threads made for users who want to get merit with terms and conditions that must be obeyed.
Keep your motivation as good as possible because in my opinion your account is still as old as a corn that shouldn't complain about the merit system. You don't have to kick yourself too hard about merit because basically if you care about quality then merit will find you, not the other way around.

After all you have earned 13 merit so far since you started forum activity. This means that you are also a good poster so that some merit source or other users get your post. It's just that you need to be patient and keep working hard, but don't compare yourself with a number of other users. Keep your motivation and don't complain, but have a good pattern for your posts, it's really important.

I have already written that Milan and Inter Milan play at the San Siro home stadium. This is the stadium of both clubs. Therefore, Milan will not have home advantage, which should make the match even more interesting.
Oh sorry, yeah I thought I missed it. So of course the game will be very interesting as both of them share the same stadium for the semi-finals. I'm not sure if there are ticket restrictions for Inter today, but if it's neutral then it shouldn't make a difference.

I expect Milan to be the team that will beat Inter in the first leg. It may be difficult to be honest because Milan's form so far has been a bit unstable compared to Inter in Serie A, but the Champions League is something different as when Milan beat Napoli who were basically far more favorites to go to the final. Yes, I will support Milan, but Inter is the one with a high probability of winning.

Recently, I came to read this news

https://protos.com/spanish-police-rescue-crypto-investor-kidnapped-on-holiday/

The first thing that came to my mind after reading this was that one should not talk about his crypto investments with strangers or friends as it can pose various risks. If you are active on forums like bitcointalk and involved in trades, you should not give information which can help others relate to your identity.
One should not tell strangers about their wealth in crypto assets, even if it is someone they know but they are still obliged to maintain the privacy of their wealth. Many people are careless about this, they trust their friends too much about their wealth, even though it can be a threat to themselves in terms of asset security. Everyone needs money, even money can turn a good person into a bad one and it's all because of money.

Stab in the back, this expression is one of the many cases where someone who is considered a friend turns out to have harmed himself. Avoid saying directly about the amount of wealth to anyone, regardless of whether they are people we know let alone strangers. On forum, you are not encouraged to post anything sensitive including the amount of wealth you have. There are many risks lurking, so always be wise in posting.

Manchester United's defeat by Brighton can still be considered reasonable. because Brighton is in their best form this season. And even in the match against Brighton, the match would actually end in a draw if there were no penalty kicks.
I agree with the good form Brighton has had but his win over Manchester United was just luck.
Manchester United should not have lost in the last few minutes when they also threatened the Brighton defense with several good chances. Brighton only really wanted to lose to Manchester United, while they lost badly against the relegation zone team with a score of 1-5.

But I think they just need to put that loss behind them and focus on the next match against Wolves. Manchester United must win their weekend matches if they want to stay in the Champions League position. Liverpool is too threatening to Manchester United's position where currently Liverpool's form is increasingly consistent. I don't expect Wolves to win the match, it will definitely be very bad for Manchester United's chances of going into the Champions League next season.
