Have you tried contacting EVGA?  It sounds like you just need the PCI-e cords that come with it.
12102  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: where do i get my btc ? on: March 17, 2015, 03:45:56 PM
I want to get my btc to play around. I tried btc-flow.com but it closed, then I heard I can get from btc-wolf.com but it does not work also  Sad
What is the most profitable legit faucet I can get btcs quickly Huh

Since you are a newbie try out the 777 signature campaign.. or try faucets or provide a service/sell  products...

or join the pyramid link to the left

use to ref link as anyways you will be someone's refferal, so just be mine Cheesy

i will try to sign up for this campaign, it pays well compared to faucets

I highly suggest doing sig campaign compared to faucets.  Faucets pay so small it really is not worth it.  Only if you are wanting to try BTC with very small amounts should you be using faucets.
12103  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Wallet Starting Issue on: March 17, 2015, 01:09:41 PM
Consider to use lightweight wallet like Electrum or Multibit. It`s much quicker to sync them and you can have your wallet ready within short time.
I am using Multibit and I am happy with them.

This is a really good piece of advice.  Especially for hot wallets.  You can use it with no downloading of the chain.  Allows you to open up wallet and send quickly.

If you are doing cold storage these still would work as well.
12104  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Paysafecard on: March 17, 2015, 01:07:07 PM
Thats true I agree with you its kind of hazard and its impossible to find where the money comes from but why when you deposit on betting sites, they don't judge them they are also then breaking the law cause there might be drug or and other bad money?? But afterall i think paypal is irreversible

Paypal is FAR from irreversible.  It has buyer protection that can be tough in this business.  Selling coins, miners, etc they can do a dispute and you lose money.

I try have offers on when I sell gear that way I can try to pick someone with good feedback.  And I personally never sell coins for paypal.

And paypal can shutdown your account if they see it doing to much disputes, or something "breaking the law"
My bad i meant paysafecard is irreversible not paypal

Ahhh ok that makes more sense.  I have not dealt much with paysafecards.
12105  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining operation on: March 17, 2015, 01:01:56 PM
I am buying second hand miners in the Netherlands. Electricity is 20ct per kwh here. Many miners sell their miners under market prices. These are used miners and most are around 1w/gh.
I have noticed spondoolies and other big mining hardware suppliers are out ofbstock so this is best option for me atm, I am still open for any suggestions or anyone that has around 20th to show me picture

Regards

I would highly suggest doing some ROI math.  If really 20 cents per KWh it is considered high, not low priced electricity.   With 1w/gh chances are you run at a loss.

Most pictures of 20 TH will be small warehouses not houses.  Houses you would need to spread it around unless wired up very nice.
12106  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What's more lucrative - mining or high rank signature campaign? on: March 17, 2015, 06:36:48 AM
It hard to say!
Mining is long way, you should spend large money to buy mining machines and pay electricity.
While high rank signature campaign is all about lucky.
 Undecided

I would not say it's all about luck.  Just that it takes time.  With activity level only changing on certain intervals it keeps someone from spamming to a high level.

It  does take years on some ranks.  I am almost to hit two year mark myself.
12107  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Mining on a SailBoat? on: March 17, 2015, 06:34:05 AM
Hi. I live on a Sailboat. I am wondering if it would be practical for me to try mining? I have a wind generator going to two 12v leisure batteries and free wifi using Alfa Tube 2H. Gets hot in the Summer where I am. I also have access to electricity I would have to pay for at the Marina. I understand I could not hope to use a powerful machine.
Would like to try and get something small, perhaps 12v, that would not run too hot and would still provide a little income for me in the long term, especially in the winter when it is cold and perhaps no fan required. Or am I dreaming?
Is there some hardware might work for me? I am not technically minded and it would have to be almost for dummies.

How many watts do you get out of generator? What are you paying for electricity that is not coming from wind?  That will be a big factor.

I think it is a little bit of a dream to be honest hearing it.  I'm guessing noise and heat will be a issue within your boat.

Dont know the watts of the wind generator. Its old and was on the boat when I got it. SHore power would be at normal rates. I would not be so interested in using much shore power for it. Yes noise and heat would be an issue. Not looking good I guess. Can nothing be done using the little free 12v energy I have and the free wifi? Something quiet that over time generates a tiny amount of bitcoin?

Well power rates very GREATLY depending on location.  If "shore power" is higher then 10 cents Kw I would not try to mine.

On wind generator you really need to know how much power it puts out.  This chooses what you can do.   I just know the heat from some miners I cannot imagine putting it in a fiberglass boat and risk damage.  I don't know a ton about sailboats but the friends that I know have them spent a small fortune on them.

I'm going to guess with no air flow, and low power you could do possibly raspberry pi with usb stick miners.  The only thing is they are a novilty at this point and chances are you lose money
12108  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What's more lucrative - mining or high rank signature campaign? on: March 17, 2015, 05:54:26 AM
Briefly, what exactly is a signature campaign?
Not sure how that works, looks like you sell your user reputation here by allowing
ads to be posted at the bottom of your forum comments?

Briefly, what exactly is a signature campaign?
You have a signature space (size/features depending on rank).  You basically advertise for a company and make a little.
Not sure how that works, looks like you sell your user reputation here by allowing ads to be posted at the bottom of your forum comments? In your profile you will find a signature section you put txt/html in there.

Bitcoin Difficulty:    47,427,554,951
Estimated Next Difficulty:    47,508,999,644 (+0.17%)
Adjust time:    After 820 Blocks, About 5.7 days

And BTC around 290.  Looking like another nice difficulty jump so far.
12110  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Looking for Web/Internet power plug for remote reset. on: March 17, 2015, 04:06:13 AM
You might look over here at gigamps stuff: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=985163.0

I think there is a remote feature on some with linking raspberry pi.  But I would check with them first before taking my word.
12111  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: March 17, 2015, 04:04:32 AM
Impressive. You are at 675v. What is your frequency?

When you run at 760v. How many watts you are pulling from the wall.

Most efficient test I have and am running them at currently, is 0675v, 800GH/s (200Freq on all 4), no 'x', 804-817GH/s averages, pulling 575-590watts (I have 3 of them running).

I tell you though they are not much quieter than the S3 I have running at 200Mhz/400GH/s.

C1's temps are all 33-35c.

I never ran 076v. Max I ran was 075 @ 250Mhz, 1008GH/s stock. I briefly test 275Mhz @ 1123GH/s but it was pulling 943Watts.  Shocked

I love the idea of under clocking these. Please keep us informed.  Have you tried on multiple to see variance between miners?
12112  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What's more lucrative - mining or high rank signature campaign? on: March 17, 2015, 04:02:32 AM
If you are paying a large amount for electricity then you are better off just posting. But either way its not alot of money. I make like $10 a week or so.

Pretty much pays my cell phone bill.

I wish I had your cell phone bill then.  I do it for fun.  Having a signature provides money or items for a little fun.   I have done campaigns for coins was fun.  Now I'm doing for BTC.

I can say my mining brings more yield.  But it is less now I will say I was around 12000 Watts + during winter of mining gear.  Worked out nice.  But campaigns have been fun too.
12113  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Methods of getting free electricity on: March 16, 2015, 11:51:49 PM
Back in 2012 I used to mine in a small factory, with business electricity contract, mined for 9 months 24/7 with some ASICs at 0$. Now it's very hard, almost impossible to find free electricity, you should do business with someone in China or other countries where electricity is cheap.

China is becoming more and more popular.  But there are some places in US with very low electricity price aswell.

just started again in all this
and making a website about faucets
any advice about it?
http://faucetland.webnode.com/

Advice would be pay more then the rest.  Get traffic to website.  But most of have no idea as far as pay and remaining profitable or we would all run a faucet Smiley
12116  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Please, I need help to start mining on: March 16, 2015, 11:41:02 PM
Don't waste your money buying mining ASICS, buy BTC directly instead Wink

It varies per each person.  Such independent variables.   Yes you do need cheap electricity though.

But I would not make a complete blanket statement best for all.
12117  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: March 16, 2015, 11:39:09 PM
Guys, help please

Have an sp20 I can login to, see on the network, but it's offline. "awaiting pool etc."
than after a short while it goes offline.

I had another do this and was able to get it back with a few good reboots. No luck with this one.

Is this common? any pointers?

What size PSU are you using?  With "after a short while it goes offline" makes me wonder if too small psu and it's going off once hitting a certain hashing speed.
12118  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: NEEDED: Bitmain Antminer S2 IO Controller Board on: March 16, 2015, 11:37:43 PM
Not sure with name if you are real or trolling.  If real you might put in a Bitmain support ticket and see if they sell that piece.  I am not sure if they sell S2 parts still but that is your best bet.

I know with a S3 I had a bad part and bought a new part from them. (this was a little while back though)
12119  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: New Diff thread Mar 8 to Mar 22. on: March 16, 2015, 11:35:13 PM
I got free electricity over here but with the coming spring it will come down to shutting some miners down. Whenever its 40F or higher, the GPU miners need to be powered off due to massive heat.

All of my miners are very inefficient. I got GPUs, KNC Jupiters, and some S3+.

The S3+ are my most efficient miners.

I didn't want to pull the trigger on any more efficient miners because they all seem overpriced at the moment. All the miners I got made ROI a while ago so everyday is a positive day. I don't think I can buy an S5 or SP20 and have to wait 6 months to get ROI. I really wish the prices were more fair when it came to pricing mining equipment.

And that is one of the great things about mining community being so big.  I know at around 10 cents I decided to get rid of S3+'s before summer heat.  But with cheap and "free" there is a market for them still.  And the S3's are built pretty rock solid.
12120  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: New Diff thread Mar 8 to Mar 22. on: March 16, 2015, 10:19:33 PM
Just usual trolling guys to keep you in perspective, analyzing block after block or even day after day has no value. This is not like checking factory output where any change has its reason, finding blocks is random process within some rules. There maybe absolutely no hashrate change behind +/-2% difficulty change, it's just the blocks finding probability.

I read this a second time and lets say it is all variance . (+/-) 1 or 2 percent.

Even better info then you realize  we can now spec is it variance or is it ddos or is simple btc price to diff ratio. or is it s-3's still make money at low power locations and people are shifting gear rather then buying gear.

In the s-3 case I live in Northern Cali.  power is 25 cents.  I ship 20 s-3's to a guy in washington state. I give 12 to him for free. And he hosts my other 8 for free.  He makes money since his power is 3-4 cents.  I make out since my s-3 's were worth zip in northern cali.

there is 50ph in s-3's they are tanks and they are keeping growth down as they more to low cost power spots and are done in a barter move like I describe above.

Phil I am right with you. I was trying to find someone up in WA area to give miners to and split profit with but had no luck finding anyone I could trust.

LOL you're not Dave Carlson Right (joking)

What hardware are you running?  I know a diff. guy in your exact same situation with a full facility but NO capacity for other hardware that he has sitting on shelf.
I rather have shipped my S1's to someone than selling them on Craigslist at $50 a piece when I did. Then I would have even maybe sent some of my S3's as I had to sell to make room for the S5's in the basement. Even now thinking of getting rid of more before summer gets here and things get to hot.

Summer is a pain for us miners.  The free winter air is very nice to have.  So far I think I'm down to a level I can keep all summer.  But I am watching close to make sure I don't need any more fans.

Depending on the miner you might look into underclocking.  I know that helped me on a few miners.
