just out of curiosity, has anyone tested the 1 meter cables  (or other distances) and is everything within proper specs for the pci-e signal going over the usb cable?

I remember reading some concerns over this in the older threads when these first starting showing up.

i may have to order some 60 cm as i just don't want to wait a month for them to show up from china.  do you know how long usps priority to md takes?

These are spec'd to work with up to 3metre cables actually, so yes, 100cm shouldn't have any issue.

I have 2 7970's, 1 7950, and 1 280x on a 1200 gold rated psu. It should handle them no problem, I tried upping the voltage, and I tried it in both the config file and in msi afterburner with no luck Sad

and yes, all in 16x slots - two 7970's directly connected to mobo, and the others on 16x-16x risers
Heterogeneous card configurations almost always sacrifice performance.  Specifically with 3 different types of cards, you're going to be losing at least some hash rate.

Go with Homogeneous card setups (all the same brand and model, preferably the same batch), if you want to really push your machines to the limit.
1223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 09, 2014, 10:13:45 PM
if you take in the account the limited market for smaller and more profitable altcoins, then yes, the bigger we are, the lesser the profits will be, since lesser coins have small market depth so we can't mine (a lot) of them, so we must  go for the bigger, less profitable ones, hence the bigger we are, the lesser is our profitability.

Have an example of this "limited market" and when it impacted the pool??

Have you seen the amount of unexchanged coins lately?
Unexchanged coins have nothing to do with anything you are talking about - coins aren't transfered to an exchange immediately, often there is a delay before those coins can be transfered without fee. This has been explained before...
1224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 600MH/s SCRYPT guy on the Middlecoin on: January 09, 2014, 04:31:15 PM
This has been discussed in the middlecoin thread. It is a new ASIC chip, low yield but high power efficiency. It is obviously NOT a botnet for various reasons, most importantly the consistent non-fluctuating hashrate.

The owner posted a few messages in the middlecoin thread if you take the time to search/read.

So you ordered a bunch of cables from Poton, and are selling them before you even have them in hand and have verified the stock?  Did I get that right?

I'm sorry, I missed it, but did anyone see how much the pool balance was  before they payout? The graph shows over 140BTC, but the payout transaction said 107BTC were paid out.

Also, at 5,000mhs, we were averaging around 100-120 BTC/day now with 10,000mhs, shouldn't we be averaging 200-240 BTC/day?

Just H2O stealing more coins. No big deal. Since some of you guys said you're OK with 5-10% fee, I'm sure he's going ahead and taking it
No... Not all 'exchanged balance' is payable. Exchanged balance never starts at 0 after a payout for obvious reason - BTC that is exchanged takes time to withdrawal from the exchanges before it can be paid out... So not all exchanged balance can actually be paid immediately.
1227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 05, 2014, 07:44:09 PM
People please open your eyes.

1. I call H2O and the pool a possible scam
For no reason...  However, there is endless reason to call YOU a scammer.  Deal with your debts, idiot.
2. H2O immediately rolls out a temporary fix for US server that he's been sitting on instead of implementing and still has no time available when the "bug" will be fixed that is still dropping peoples hash rate. Yet he claims this is his full-time job and he has 2 employees. Running a pool is NOT very hard, I'm speaking from experience.
Running a pool built on entirely custom software is definitely bloody hard... This isn't some simple "setup config file... go" design.
3. Everybody is claiming very low profits on US and EU servers.
No... a few people are
4. H2O transfers 90 bitcoins out of the pool instead of using to pay us. This explains why everybody's payments are low, because he is taking much more than 3.4% fee
So? 90 BTC isn't that much... maybe he day trades on the side, or this was a stock pile of his 3% fee?

H2O has been running this pool perfectly for months, then suddenly when a bunch of new people join, the pool "breaks", and he can't fix it until someone calls him a scammer then BOOM it's magically fixed within 1 hour. That's 1 of the most suspicious things I've ever seen.
He said he would fix the US server ETA Sunday days ago...  I don't see a "boom fixed", more like "we figured out how to fix this, tested it, and it's implemented now".

A couple people have private messaged me that they agree with me something fishy is going on. 1 guy has proof that he is scamming and I will be posting it shortly.
Not posting it now simply makes you a troll.  GTFO this thread, get a life, and stop being a shill/troll/scammer.  Settle your own debts.

no but if you link me to the source but sounds like your using linux you should have tools to compile that already installed.
https://github.com/veox/cgminer
^ best branch so far I would say.

A tip that might be of interest to some others:  Using load-balancing in cgminer seems to be smoothing out the frequent coin-switch disconnects on the US server:

Config example:

"pools" : [
        {
                "quota" : "8;stratum+tcp://middlecoin.com:3333",
                "user" : "Huh",
                "pass" : "x"
        },
        {
                "url" : "stratum+tcp://eu.middlecoin.com:3333",
                "user" : "Huh",
                "pass" : "x"
        }
],
"load-balance" : true

This will get the majority of work (8/9) from the US server, and the other 1/9th from the EU server.  When a disconnect happens on pool 0, you will usually have some work from pool 1 to switch to right away, so you lose a lot less hashing time vs sitting idle.  It isn't perfect - still losing a bit of hash rate on switches, but it doesn't seem anywhere near as bad as without.
1230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is highest kh/s mining hardware for LTC on: December 30, 2013, 10:23:44 PM
damn you rich guy go home and play with your balls, to all the super rich greedy guys, stay away from the mining and leave that to the ppl who need to earn some cash, you rich guys stick with trading and drive the price up for us, thank you.
Lol... Wow... Just wow.  Nothing to contribute, but posts anyway.

If you don't have money at this point, you obviously haven't been around here for very long, or you just aren't smart enough to be invested.
1231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is highest kh/s mining hardware for LTC on: December 30, 2013, 10:09:41 PM
Pretty happy with Sapphire R9 290 doing 880kh/s. Cost around $500 if you snag them at the right time.
1232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 30, 2013, 07:00:16 AM
I'm mining at the EU server, same problem. Also higher reject, 2.2% normally 0.6%
Chill... It depends what coin we are mining. Some faster coins will naturally have higher rejects.
1233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 30, 2013, 06:23:37 AM
Is everything working alright?

I don't seem to be accumulating much at all since the last payout though my hashrate shows up fine. My balance is blank, though most other people around my hashrate (1.4Mh/s) have a tiny amount at least.

Looks like we are mining to immature balance - a coin that needs to mature before it can be spent/exchanged. Look if your immature is up.
1234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 30, 2013, 04:22:05 AM
Middlecoin "can't" just switch to any coin at any time. This pool is pushing 9 GH/s now, how many pizzas is that anyway? Grin

Even if the order books are there we still have the issue of "blowing up" some of the smaller faster coins and H20 is and has been aware of this for some time.

If the pool hash could somehow be load balanced Huh with dynamic quotas? so as to not overwhelm the smaller coins and allocate more hash as difficulty increases (if market demand allows), that could be a start.

Sure middlecoin could just switch to whatever network h2o feels like? As long as the buy orders are there on an exchange.  Heck, let's just selfish-mine these coins with blatent 51% attacks!  More profit, more BTC, less shitty alts.

Now if only middlecoin would offer auto-payouts in LTC - that's where the real potential lies for 2014.
1235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 30, 2013, 03:19:36 AM
It just means that the server generating the stats is having trouble getting exchange rates from an exchange.

The pool server seems to be getting exchange rates fine though. I'm not sure what's up. Hopefully it resolves itself.
Blocked due to excessive requests maybe?

Cheers for being around to answer your mining minions =p.
1236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 30, 2013, 01:53:13 AM
H2o: what's with the "exchange down" under the unexchange balances? Haven't seen that before.
1237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 30, 2013, 01:29:48 AM
I have been looking at the marketcap, I cannot see anything spectacular.. I mean they are fluctuating as normal... Yes Dogecoin is lower than it was, but this is not all about dogecoin... I mean look at Infinitecoin, that coin is going great, Cat coin also.. the rest are doin there normal thing..

Unless I am missing something?
You are definitely missing something... Network difficulty.  Mine with middlecoin for a week, and judge from there. Either way, you probably won't find better profit potential elsewhere.

Gtraah: you mean when does the pool switch coins? Whenever h2o or his algorithm decides it's time - and he won't tell you =).

Cool, thanks h2o.  Can you please add individual balance data to this page?  Would be nice to save both ends a chunk of bandwidth when checking the json for balance stats on a single account.

I can't do that just yet. Those pages are only updated once a day. Not every 5-10 mins like the main page.
Makes sense. These are actually generated and not database driven hm. Gotcha.

After adding in a time difference check for python mdc watcher between local and server time, it appears middlecoin JSON data is always outdated by 5+ minutes and only updates roughly once per thirty minutes. Is this in line with others' findings?

Are you sure about the thirty minute finding? Interesting.

I'm not saying this isn't what's happening right now, but I've been collecting data from the JSON every ten minutes and I know I've seen changes happening at about that scale in the recent past.

Any reason my user chart hasn't updated in over 12 hours?  Haven't seen anything mentioned in this thread.
