The prizes for those videos were "VaultBreakers", which then turned into 750MH of Primes, and just for participating they got 375MH "VaultBreaker minis" because Homero "couldn't decide which was best", the contest entrants could then dump at $30-40 per MH.
~$12.5k just for entering and ~$25k for winning one of the catagories (by hashtard vote) is probably worth making a cringe-inducing video for, although morally wrong as we know in the end that money came from GAW's victims not Garza.

Btw Carlos refusing to answer questions can be used against him. The law is that you must ask to remain silent, he wasn't silent, didn't ask to be silent and was given the chance.
There was no lawyer involved nor buying time, unless he was buying time for Homero to run. Jury, as you can see, Carlos even refused to tell us if Homero was his brother, how can you believe anything he says? The state recommends the death penalty.
