0.00600000 WOW

(yeah, yeah, I know, in dollar terms it's not that bad, blah blah... but damn!, 0.00600000)

Thats another thing that makes me think this bitcoin rally is for real - the massacre of the alts. I've been killed on my Bitshares holdings which have now crumbled away to a sixth of their purchase value   Shocked

Still, Dash is alive and kicking and number 6 on MK. It's being bought as well as sold - remember that  Wink

Perhaps you hold wrong alts? I do not see any particular "massacre" at the top...

Anyway, it seems quite obvious "BTCC Now Accepting Direct Bank Deposits" development is the key force behind this crazy run. Methinks it would keep going up as long as The Communist Party of China (CPC) does not curb yuan to BTC outflow. Remember how insanely they were buying stocks? The history repeats itself, only much faster nowadays...

I'm all for it but what are those with cool (calm & collected) heads saying?

Level off at $6000 now that everyone has seen it's not going to zero.

Then a retrace to 2k  Wink

I'd rather say $10,000.00 'til the end of 2016 or sooner, as Roger Ver had predicted several years ago. (but was too early)

Cool! She's your friend?  Wink Cheesy

No, she is professional actress. I like her work.  Smiley

She's very good. Perhaps Alex-ru Productions should keep using her and turn her into unofficial Dash-ess, a face of a movement Smiley

Apropos the music in a news-like clip, ask yourself, does any news uses a music? Nope. I am hammering on this only because I think your videos are brilliant, so I am not nitpicking to be a nuisance but to praise you for your talent and your efforts. And picking on only one element I think is slightly off only emphasizes how everything else you have created is great.

Keep up doing good work, noble Sire, this community needs you.

Hi,

I've produced the unofficial interpretation of our official «What is Dash?» video.

I hope it will be actively used in some cases (in addition to official version).

It isn’t «fake news» - just a one more «landing page» and way to more effectively grab attention of audience and get more effective response.

P.S.
«Alex-ru studio» video production - I can produce video for your project!

Who would not like this one  Wink / but, Alex, the 2nd audio track is annoying and not needed at all, IMHO /

so Cryptsy let me withdraw BTC. only thing missing are the Dash at the moment...

meaning what?

I withdrew BTC from Cryptsy for I wanted fiat. They were "Pending" with zero confirmations for two days (during that malleability attack discussed @ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1198032.0) and are now gone from Coinbase. CB guys were assuring me, for those two days, that "my coins are safe" but now with them gone from my transaction history I kind of worry...

 Huh

Is this the market telling me somewhat impolitely that I'm not getting the 0.008-range priced top up I needed for a collateral multiple ?

I cought just pennies at 0.009-range and my BTCs arrived at exchange just moments ago if it makes any easier to you :-)
Actually like I trigerred avalanche by bying 11‚DASH at Cryptsy hahah

It is fun to watch but I don't get this price movement. BTC has - at Cryptsy - also skyrocketed and is now trading at $260.00 (??) while the average price is about $237.00. DASH is (Cryptsy also) at $2.60 while the price elsewhere is around $2.38.

Even if the people are panicking due to that fraud investigation news, what are they doing on Cryptsy to cause such a spike?
Well I think some are panicking and putting all to one coin to get out ( at Cryptsy you can withdraw 3 times without fee )
So buying DASH as it is much faster to withdraw than BTC...

Yeah, but wouldn't this put a pressure on the BTC price? It also goes up...

Funny...

Maybe the triggers for this Cryptsy feeding frenzy by the "Othoritees" is:

A] The exchange introducing USD markets which pops them square onto the targeting radar of the regulatory hyenas
B] Bitcoin being recognised as a commodity

Bitcoin is recognized, by the I.R.S. in the U.S., as a "capital asset" not as a commodity or a currency.

I guess trolls can't read? Not surprising. Anyway, I'm still buying.  Wink

Good to hear that. So am I.

However, in a case like DASH I wonder, what would its intrinsic value be? Still zero?

That's why I was pondering an IPO (MN as class A shares, ordinary shares to be bought and sold on a market while the currency acts on its own) for I'd like to see a real value. This brings up a question - if a Virtual Company behind DASH would offer its own MN service and have a bunch of real servers, not unlike Google's servers, would it not be a step toward a real, tangible asset?

Another red flag in my view.

When a developer of a coin starts making comments about what they are doing (buying or selling) you can expect the price to go in the opposite direction ultimately in a longer term time frame (next few weeks/months).

I would not be surprised if Evan is actually selling into strength in this short term counter trend rally with the expectation to buy cheaper.

It was a red flag when he originally posted his "BULLISH" technical analysis which proved to be 100% wrong.

Just from past experience when developers (like RealSolid/Coinhunter) have spoken about prices of their coin and speculated openly the price actually went in the opposite direction they were claiming they were "positioning" themselves to be in (i.e. buying or selling).

Expect lower prices.

Nice try but you should try harder.

Evan buying DASH is akin to some publicly traded company's share buybacks; these are a vote of confidence that the management is confident that shares of the company are under-priced.
1232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW, Darksend and InstantX on: October 04, 2015, 04:34:39 PM
If the token represents no more than a 'share' in a company then it no longer has any intrinsic value as money - it simply serves as a proxy for a corporate body of ambiguous economic worth.

I did not say a token represents a share. As I see it - in this hypothetical mulling over - MNs could act as class "A" shares, so MN owners can have an advantage of "first investors" and the company, if there would ever be a company, could issue its shares. Token stays as a monetary unit and trades separately.

The value comes from the token adopting a decentralised monetary role, not a utility-asset role, since the absence of a trusted third party is an essential factor in its definition as unbacked, base money.

So, we're going back to thinking of DASH as a currency (say XDA for the prefix 'X' denotes a non-national affiliation or a monetary metal) that is "competing" (trading for) against other currencies like USD or YPY, otherwise what would determine its value? Me willing to buy some tokens for "X" amount of fiat and your readiness to match the price and sell it to me?

It seems like a vacuum to me, the vacuum that would suck the life out of this project unless it starts living outside our small lunatic fringe community...

Price
0.01000500

BTC

does not seem a part of that periodical dumping you mentioned?

You missed the one for the "Bitspark" remittance type initiative. I think it has to be a high priority to pursue something like that.

I did not, it's there, under https://dashtalk.org/threads/community-innitiative-1-iso-4217-currency-codes.6277/ down in the text. Alas, no one reads anymore Smiley

I would prefer the ISO code XDA instead of XDH.

Why don't you move all the discussions to dashtalk wozzek23? One thread for each topic. It's really more suitable for a discussion like this, also you can ping evan there.

OK, I've done it, as GreyGhost there -- and changed XDH to XDA Smiley as a small token of appreciation -- so let us see what sort of ideas will pop up...

There's an initiative: SIX Interbank Clearing: Include a symbol for Bitcoin in ISO 4217.....The Masternode Network can perform all they dream off better, faster and cheaper, while circulating its own currency within its own secured network.

Why haven't you been bringing these ideas to the devteam's attention ?

Well, they are here also and if not them, people closer to them than myself are Smiley
1240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW, Darksend and InstantX on: September 28, 2015, 10:28:19 AM

As far as ISO 4217 goes, that is a very relevant issue. I don't know how much progress bitcoin has made trying to get accepted into the standard - I saw there was some discussion about it a couple of years ago.

There's an initiative: SIX Interbank Clearing: Include a symbol for Bitcoin in ISO 4217 (https://www.change.org/p/six-interbank-clearing-include-a-symbol-for-bitcoin-in-iso-4217) and the Bitcoin already has an informal ISO code that is XBT ("X" like gold and sliver, XAU, XAG) because "the prefix 'X' denotes a non-national affiliation or a monetary metal". So we'd be XDH os something similar.

But check this out: http://innotribe.com/2015-finale-at-sibos-singapore/ and note Bitspark ("Bitspark is the world’s first cash in cash out remittance platform leveraging Bitcoin and Blockchain technology for Money Transfer Operators (MTO’s) to send and receive remittance payments to emerging markets quicker cheaper and with zero bitcoin knowledge required," https://www.bitspark.io/) and compare their level of development with the DASH's. (this brings a huge money remittance business back to mind - I'd like to see all these criminals like Wells Fargo, also enablers of criminal activities outside of their own, out of business - for DASH could be ideal, almost fee free way for immigrants or any other human being to send the money back home or wherever, without being killed by exorbitant fees the Financial Crime Cartel is charging. A dilemma, as always - DASH to CASH and how to do it.)

The Masternode Network can perform all they dream off better, faster and cheaper, while circulating its own currency within its own secured network. What I try to convey is that the world is HUNGRY for initiatives and the money is plenty to support them. Come on, a robust network, supported by a $7,285,000.00 or so value (DASH in USD based on 3,100 MN and $2.35 per DASH) only in DASH (think now of the added value of the infrastructure) might wet someone's appetite.

Think of a "target" X and than engage 1/4 (35%) of Dashtalk members, some 830 or so people and send a letter, snail mail, each and every one of them, from all over the world to the "target" and ask them to consider DASH...

It would catch their attention.

Or as I said before, use that birsomething big Canadian guy with a winery that accepts DASH an demonstrate a demo, no matter how primitive it may be, WINE for DASH for CASH transaction and voila!, as much as that Croatian art idea, a Canadian wine idea SHOWS what can be done. And for all of you geek-geniuses here, forget legalize and think about the bottleneck we face - DASH to CASH and demonstrate how this would go so I can sell my sculpture here.

Years down the road DASH would be more valuable than any cash, but until DASH for CASH needs to work seamlessly and as safe as buying on the Amazon and we'd all be DASH-illionaires in a jiffy Smiley Smiley

And all of that while making a world a better place, something I am not quite sure Amazon is doing with its slave labor practices...
