I would prefer the ISO code XDA instead of XDH.

Why don't you move all the discussions to dashtalk wozzek23? One thread for each topic. It's really more suitable for a discussion like this, also you can ping evan there.

OK, I've done it, as GreyGhost there -- and changed XDH to XDA Smiley as a small token of appreciation -- so let us see what sort of ideas will pop up...

You missed the one for the "Bitspark" remittance type initiative. I think it has to be a high priority to pursue something like that.

I did not, it's there, under https://dashtalk.org/threads/community-innitiative-1-iso-4217-currency-codes.6277/ down in the text. Alas, no one reads anymore Smiley

MN went down @ 03:55

Not getting paid this week - maybe next time - hummmmmm

and today was the payout day :-(
now 3x payouts missed...wtf??

Didn't setup the crontab to monitor dashd? I'm guessing you just don't have enough ram, v12 can use up to 512MB in short bursts. V13 will solve that problem, plus many more. In the mean time you should setup the monitoring script.

Therefore, another issue to ponder as we look what is the best route for DASH to be "widely adopted" would be ISO 4217 (currency codes) and SIX Interbank and see how to get DASH classified as a currency. (in the US we're already and "asset" based on the IRS ruling)

Mind you, we would not be the first ones to do so. I have no idea what has happened with their initiative (a quick Google search might reveal more) but bear this in mind: "The Bitcoin Foundation’s Financial Standards Working Group will focus on applying for ISO 4217 approval for a Bitcoin currency code as well as drawing up recommendations for a Bitcoin currency symbol and Bitcoin subunits."

Indeed a good idea, and that is exactly why it's actively being worked on.

The PI2 should have 1gb of ram.  I think MangledBlue setup a crontab to reboot everyday too.  The PI2B uses the same USB chip for ethernet communication and it is/was buggy from stuff I read.  I suspect this issue is a bad USB/Ethernet driver that causes a hang and dashd gets confused.  The other probability is the Pi overheating.  Guessing here.

MB, Sorry, I feel your pain.  Maybe you want to try something else for your PI.  Perhaps a mythtv frontend?
https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Raspberry_Pi
Or a media player for movies or mp3s with Openelec?
http://openelec.tv

The odroids can run a standard ubuntu release, so should be able to run the standard compiled dashd.  The $37 one has 1GB of ram and the $74 one has 2GB of ram.  They both have a 1GB ethernet interface(much better than the 100MB USB shared interface with the PI2).
http://www.hardkernel.com/main/main.php

Or for cheap try an alternative like the orange pi that is only $15.
