1221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: is this gift right? Send 0.5 ETH = 1ETH on: December 17, 2019, 11:08:07 AM
can someone check this site? about the 2x fold prize of ETH.
if someone sends 0.5 ETH to their address & will get a bonus 2x = 1 ETH

https://mixineth.com/

2x bonus will be sent to the address that you entered or that you want from ETH.
Are gifts like this true?

EDIT:

I was hesitant to check the site, because I had seen other responses and it was really feared that it was phishing and scamm, I don't think ETH might give such a promotion. Even the ETH owner did not make this announcement
1222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I just feel sorry for Simplecoin users on: December 16, 2019, 07:07:47 PM
Simplecoin, a cryptocurrency mining platform with a focus on accessibility, will be shutting down in the new year.

According to a press release via the company, Simplecoin will be shutting down on January 1, 2020. This is due to the European Union’s eventual implementation of a new Anti Money-Laundering Directive, which will force Simplecoin to adhere to new know-your-customer (KYC) and anti-money-laundering (AML) policies. The platform, based in the Netherlands, will have to change its policies to comply with this legislature, which stands against what Simplecoin believes in.

Source link here

I know how it feels that things won’t last long, especially for Simplecoin.

Shame on these regulations, as Simplecoin cannot see themselves complying with the KYC and AML policies. Simplecoin users may have until the end of the year to withdraw their earnings.

However, they have stated that “it’s not over yet” for them, as they may be coming back in the near future with a different approach. I just don’t know what would that be, but I just hope that they won’t get into regulatory trouble if they are to open again.

I would like to hear about your reactions about this guys. Thanks!
There is nothing wrong with obeying the government than being labeled a dissident and only making it difficult for us going forward. Indeed government policies are sometimes strange and excessive, but I think that is a risk that must be faced. Even when it was finally simplecoin decided to close, I think they had thought about the risks that would occur, then for the problem of profit and loss, I think they also have a mental preparation of every project that is up to the worst possible point.
1223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $100 million worth of ETH? on: December 16, 2019, 06:04:27 PM
At the peak of the market during the massive bull run of 2017, the Ethereum Foundation liquidated 70,000 ETH. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin convinced the foundation to sell at that time.

The price of ETH peaked at $1,400 during January of 2018, which would have netted approximately $100 million from the sale. Buterin also disclosed a personal sale of 30,000 ETH at the same time.

Full news here

Holy smokes! Now this is why their projects can keep up for a very long while.

To me, it was a wise decision for them to liquidate their ETH when it reaches its all-time high back then. Even the “extraordinary terrestrial” himself, Vitalik Buterin, sold his personal 30,000 ETH.

I just wish it was 2017 all over again, when we could have sold some ETH and other tokens during the big bull run. However, I honestly think that it will not repeat ever again because the market has matured already.

Good for them. Well done!
I think the market will always be like this, up and down prices are normal. And I think eth owners have prepared several strategies to deal with markets like this. Of course we all expect good prices for all coins, not just a few coins, so we will have the option to make transactions in cryptocurrency. And maybe eth can touch that big number.
1224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 100 Most Influential People In Crypto on: December 16, 2019, 01:36:57 PM
Despite the bearish cryptocurrency landscape in 2019, blockchain projects and cryptocurrency influencers seem to be bolstering the technology with brazen advancements and optimistic views for the future. Below are the top 100 crypto influencers. Do you agree with the list?

https://cryptoweekly.co/100/
I personally can not say much, there will be many other versions that might only change the position of the cryptoweekly version. Those on the list have worked quite hard with their potential. So I don't think it's feasible to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of those who have made a sizeable contribution to cryptocurrency

1226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 8 reasons to start playing blockchain games on: December 16, 2019, 08:22:37 AM
I've noticed that there are a lot of blockchain games lately, from gambling to tycoon games and etc. It was nice knowing that they were able to use the blockchain technology to bring entertainment to everyone. They were also able to promote the use of cryptocurrency in playing their favorite games. I know you are able to start playing games without investment but I think it is a case to case basis. It is not always that you're able to spot a good game or site you like and they don't always give free tokens for you to play, you need to invest before you can actually play any game.
It seems that I am tempted by the Blokchain game, I almost never play the game in either standard PC gaming or smartphone, but after I see your opinion and also other opinions, this might be a new option for me in cryptocurrency. Thank you
1227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Deutsche Bank said Crypto will Replace Fiat Currencies by 2030! Really Possible? on: December 15, 2019, 07:43:52 PM
By 2030, the demand for alternative currencies will rise, with digital currencies eventually replacing cash, according to recent research from Deutsche Bank.  Shocked

What do you think as a Crypto Expert? What are the challenges? What things should be adopted to replace fiat?  Huh Huh

Research: https://www.dbresearch.com/PROD/RPS_EN-PROD/PROD0000000000503196/Imagine_2030.PDF
News Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/deutsche-bank-research-crypto-to-replace-fiat-currencies-by-2030
I think again it's just a possibility. Digital can be a reality in the future, but to replace the original currency, it is likely not. Because cryptocurrency is also based on the original currency, but if for the times and convenience for its users, I totally agree.
1228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH to zero? This guy is dreaming! on: December 15, 2019, 06:47:38 PM
Anti-crypto campaigner and perennial Bitcoin basher, Nouriel Roubini, is at it again. But this time around, he’s after Ethereum (ETH). According to a tweet by “Dr. Doom,” Ethereum is still a long way from its “fundamental value” of $0. Just like his previous criticism on Bitcoin, Roubini is certain that in the long run, ETH will hit a $0 price mark.

For some time now, Dr. Doom has been bashing cryptocurrency with his skepticism of several financial markets, including bitcoin.

Source link here

ETH to zero? In your dreams, hater!!!

There come a time that ETH may be bottoming out within this month, but it would not go down to zero for sure.

Before Virgil Griffith was arrested, he shared to me and the rest of the attendees last January 2019 at the Boracay Blockchain Summit about Ethereum's proof-of-stake and the future developments, and why we should be excited about them in the long run. Same thing with Vitalik Buterin when he talks about Ethereum's bright future at Token 2049 Hongkong.

After the Ethereum supermeetup, he and the other keynote speakers are in an AMA session answering the community's questions related to the project.

For me, I honestly think that we should be excited about Ethereum's long-term future, not focusing on Roubini's hate speech about them, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

To be honest, Nouriel Roubini is nothing but an all-in-one stupid idiot!
I think everyone has the right to express their opinions, the most important thing is that we have our own views and are not influenced by those opinions. But it would be better if we investigate and examine ourselves, because it is not valid if we judge these opinions without data and research. And in my opinion it's very unlikely that eth will get to zero
1229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need suggest invest in small amount on: December 15, 2019, 05:36:42 PM

I have little amount in bitcoin $279 and Ethereum $72, so where i can invest now? IEO/ICO or old coins in CMC?

If you want give me suggest for IEO then you can explain, which exchange best for a successful IEO.
Basically ICO no have good position now this time, so another chance making profitable for OLD coins?

thanks to all
I think your decision is right, by saving some bitcoin and eth. It might also be possible to look for other alternatives to strengthen the two coins. And good luck with your investment
1230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why we buy new token or coin? on: December 15, 2019, 03:03:06 PM
What is the most reason to buy new token or new coin, to trade it in the market or to spend it if there something to spend it?
I am talking here that token or coin already listing in exchanges.
And not tokens exchanges such as BNB.
What you think?
Some of us use that method as an option in short-to-medium-term trade or investment, while waiting for the big coin to strengthen again, or just as a collection, as far as I know everyone has their own way of trading.
1231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Ways to earn crypto without investing or mining on: December 15, 2019, 06:53:05 AM
It is very hard to start or earn crypto without invesying or mining even though trading, why? Simply because if you do not invest in cryptocurrency then probably you don't have any capital so how you will earn money from that? For you to earn profit in crypto, you must have money as usual in order to double it just like for example in gambling, you can not win in gambling without betting your money or anything in the line, right? That is also the same with crypto, you must be able to risk something in order to earn more. That's the reality, there is no free money in this world, if you want to earn then you must have something to risk on.
Agree, The way to find another gap in cryptocurrency is a forum, sharing with seniors and friends will open the way to another gap until we finally realize our passion or what method of cryptocurrency.
1232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Success factors of a project on: December 14, 2019, 07:33:02 PM
Daily many projects are brought into the market with different ideas and background.
But the question is what makes these projects to perform well in the market. No doubt good technical support is too necessary to lead the project towards success, but even with good technical support and marketing many projects can't survive.
So what matters these days is financial backup or financial support. Before entering the market a project (or ICO) should have enough financial support to compete in the market even in worst conditions.

It's my own analysis so far in this altcoin market.
What are your thoughts?

Obviously the mission and vision is needed here, the background of the team being recruited can also influence, not to recruit people who are already notoriously ugly, but instead it will become a weapon for the project itself. Investors are very observant and certainly see the background of the project and the people who move in it.
1233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying coffee with cryptocurrency on: December 14, 2019, 06:24:12 PM
A cup of coffee will obviously not be enough for people to understand the benefits of cryptocurrencies. But many European countries already offer crypto for salary payments, they allow paying for utility bills. Show people that crypto not only allows you to pay or transfer money quickly, but they can also be accumulated for investments to increase your financial income. Then the business of distributing digital currencies will go easier.
Demand is really still very small, although a huge number of excellent coins and projects are amazing. The adoption of cryptocurrencies in society must be combined with information work. For example, the taklimakan platform was created as a new social network so that people who like crypto can communicate with each other, with trading experts, can learn or spread knowledge about digital currencies. There is no goal to support a specific ico project, but the task is to create a society that is aimed at the use of crypto for different life goals.

I think the matter is purely in choosing an information policy. If the government wants people services to be able to use digital technology, they start talking more often about blockchain and cryptocurrencies. The transition to mass can have an effect if crypto is well received by the business and applied to payments.
I faced the problem of money transfers to another country due to the fact that the western union is very expensive, but the paypal is just not yet approved. You have to spend money on intermediaries. But I was convinced that it was time to offer customers to pay for orders with cryptocurrency. This really saves their time and money for commissions and does not impose restrictions on the country of residence.

Adaptation of crypto is not so difficult. Many retailers have loyalty cards. Supplement them with your own tokens which can also be used to pay for goods in our and partner stores and we get a simple system for setting priorities of digital currencies over fiat. Of course this is my imagination, but I’m sure enough to try so that the business begins to implement it.

In some countries this might be a breath of fresh air, and so do I think, but not necessarily my country will accept this, until now cryptocurrency is still being debated about its legality. As a result some places that can use bitcoin or anything considered as doing illegal transactions. In the future, I hope that the government realizes that cryptocurrency can be an option.
1234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To bounty hunters & investors on: December 14, 2019, 02:21:57 PM
For Bounty Hunters
Even if i advice you not to give up on doing researches on every proje ts before promoting them this doesn't mean they wont scam you or waste your precious time BUT still the only question you need to ask is, Are there bounties that pays hunter good rewards this year? YES they are very few and good projects take time, Do not expect good projects every months cos its impossible

For Investors
ICO and STO are no go side, stay away from them because they are almost all red flags, IEO is here for you and all you have to do is go to binance for any new upcoming IEO fund raising, you will get positive results

During cryptocurrency even in the real world, everything is a possibility, can happen or not. We all hope for the best and try as much as possible as cryptocurrency participants. It is true that many projects are scamm. But I don't think that's a reason to back down, a professional is born from an amateur right?
1235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Twitter to launch a Decentralised Platform Soon on: December 14, 2019, 08:16:57 AM
Twitter is subsidizing a little research group to manufacture an “open and decentralized social media standard” to make Twitter a customer of this standard. CEO Jack Dorsey uncovered before yesterday and laid out his case in a tweet, despite the fact that he recognized that the procedure could take years.

The undertaking is called Bluesky, and nobody is working on it yet. The Twitter CTO Parag Agrawal is entrusted with finding the lead for the endeavor, which will develop a group of five men. The Bluesky record’s just tweet refers to Dorsey with “lo “— a gesture to the main email ever to be sent on the Internet.

I think Twitter needs to work hard enough and prove that it's not just nonsense, my friend lost 2 accounts when following the signature campaign, and airdrops on Twitter, but the results of no account were lost. Maybe for now I can just monitor the development of the issue. If it's profit, then I join the existing project.
1236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gold backed coins are real?? on: December 14, 2019, 05:43:54 AM
what do you guys have to say about new projects that are backed by real gold? do you know any project that is legit and backed by real life Gold and not scam? any one have information about PGpay project?
Hopefully the coin supported by real gold is not a scamm, I just found out lately there are many issues that are spread about coins that are supported by gold, as long as I have no alignment between cryptocurrency with gold. I do not know what happens if the coin is supported by gold because there is no mutualism between the two factors
1237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinions about quitting mining on: December 13, 2019, 04:19:37 PM
Tell me if my plan is bad, the first time i entered crypto space i started with mining rig setups but after some time its no more profitable so i stopped mining, now i start joining airdrops and bounties but present market condition is not helping, now i decide to sell my rig and find other business to divert the money to, if bull run ever comes i will still have coins to sell since most of my bounties i hold the ones with use cases, is selling my mining rig a good call?
Until now I have never felt the sensation of mining coins, when my friend invited me to try cryptocurrency, he suggested to join a signature campaign or trading, because mining does require quite a lot of free time to keep mining and sophisticated computer specifications . Therefore I do not really know and might try a new sensation from mining
1238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 10 Best Cryptocurrency Wallets on: December 13, 2019, 02:54:24 PM
What is a cryptocurrency wallet?
A cryptocurrency wallet is a safe digital wallet used for storing, sending, and receiving digital currency like Bitcoin. Most of the coins have an official wallet or a few officially recommended third-party wallets. In order to use any of the cryptocurrencies, you will need to use a cryptocurrency wallet. Cryptocurrency itself is not “stored” in a wallet actually. Instead, a private key (secure code known to you and your wallet) is stored that shows ownership of a public key (a digital code connected to a specific amount of currency). Therefore, your wallet stores your private and public keys, allows you to receive and send coins, and also acts as a personal ledger.
More and more cryptocurrencies are evolving with a specific set of uses, and so are the wallets, but there are wallets which can store multiple cryptocurrencies, also.

1 Hardware Wallets

Hardware wallets are physical devices that store private keys offline. They are connected to the computer to sign in and gain access to the blockchain. This being offline ensures the private keys never leave the device

#1.1 Ledger Nano S

Ledger Nano S is a USB sized crypto hardware wallet which is best for most of the altcoin transactions. It is multiple asset hardware which looks like a folding flash drive. The advantage is that it can store more than 40 other digital currencies.

Paper Wallet
Paper Wallets are normal documents in the form of paper, where you can store your private keys. The software application will typically generate the keys, which can be printed using an offline printer.
#1.2 Trezor
Trezor is a hardware altcoin wallet which also acts like a USB device, which operates mainly on “Zero Trust Approach”, which cuts down the compromise by a third party. It is one of the best multiple cryptocurrency wallets as per cryptocurrency wallet reviews.
Pros: Trezor is protected by a password or a PIN and provides you with recovery seed if your wallet is lost. It’s easy-to-use interface and hack and theft free characteristic makes it fall under the top cryptocurrencies list.
Cons: It limits its communication with other devices and when the USB device isn’t connected, it’s turned off.

#1.3 Keep Key
Keep Key secures Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Dash, and Namecoin. They claim to be virus or malware proof, and assets are secured from hackers. Keep Key is a Bitcoin hardware wallet with advanced security against virtual and physical theft. Now, a lower price tag means more users can give it a try. In addition to Bitcoin, the wallet enables the storage and transaction of a variety of cryptocurrencies.KeepKey integrates with the software wallet on your computer by taking over a private key generation, a private key storage, and transaction signing.

Pros: Its top-notch security almost makes it impossible for hackers to steal the private key. It is attractive, professionally designed OLED display makes using the device easier than other similar products.

Cons: A lack of web wallet means users must add software such as Electrum or MultiBit to make use of its applications. The setup process is fairly straightforward but doesn’t allow users to save their progress.

#2 Desktop Wallets

Desktop wallets are the ones which are stored on either your laptop or desktop computers. The private keys reside on the computer’s local hard drive. These wallets are not secure like hardware or paper wallets since computers are susceptible to thefts and cyber-attacks which can lead to stolen private keys. The desktop wallet versions include Windows, Mac, Linux. Some of the best desktop wallets are Exodus and Electrum.

#2.1 Exodus

Exodus is a desktop supported cryptocurrency wallet which supports nearly three dozen cryptocurrencies including Litecoin, Dash, Zcash, Ethereum among the popular ones.

Pros: As Exodus is a lite wallet, you don't have to store the entire blockchain in your desktop.

2.2  Electrum Wallet
Electrum was initially known for supporting Bitcoin, but now it forked the Electrum wallet codebase to supporting altcoins and made some adjustments so that it becomes compatible with the Verge blockchain. Electrum Wallet is a lightweight and easy cryptocurrency soft wallet to store your cryptocurrency holdings securely

#3 Online Wallets
To be honest, Online wallets are the least secure wallet as they are owned by third parties, that store your private keys. One good thing about an online wallet is that you can access it from anywhere, from any device via the internet. Ideally, online wallets are used for regular transfers and active trading and are available in chrome and firefox versions. Guarda qualifies as one of the best online wallets.

#3.1 Guarda

Guarda is the first multi cryptocurrency wallet, that supports the most popular crypto coins and tokens including BTC, ETH (+ERC20 tokens), ETC, Zcash, Ripple, DASH, latest EOS, and other multiple altcoins. It is known to be safe and reliable and can be easily handled from any device, hence regarded as one of the best cryptocurrency wallets for all coins.
#4 Mobile Wallets
Mobile wallets are one of the most convenient types of wallet for fast and easy trading. Most mobile wallets usually have an accompanying desktop app, hence the same security rules apply here. There are mostly two versions: Android and ios. Mobile wallets are ideal for small purchases. Jaxx and Mycelium are some of the examples of mobile wallets.

#4.1 Jaxx

Jaxx is relatively a new crypto which believes in simplifying the blockchain and attracting the masses to its unique selling proposition. Jaxx is a multi-chain wallet which offers support for dozens of altcoins, namely Ethereum, Dash, Ethereum Classic, DAO, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, REP and many more.

#4.3 Infinito Wallet

Infinito Wallet is the first universal cryptocurrency wallet in the world which provides easy and fast application access with utmost security and 24/7 maintained and regularly updated gateway to the blockchain, allowing fast transactions. It also helps the user by storing the list of frequent address for hassle-free transactions and even includes messages with transactions for improved record keeping. It is available on both Android and ios devices.

Read here al the details about wallet: https://coinswitch.co/news/top-10-cryptocurrency-wallets-to-look-forward-to-2019
Good list, good reference. Until now I use myetherwallet and imtoken, in my opinion because of security and recommendations from my friends and seniors. And that turned out not to be mere nonsense, but concrete evidence so I also recommended it to my friends who asked for wallet advice to be used to store their assets.
1239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New solutions on existing industries on: December 13, 2019, 01:47:02 PM
Hello there. What I have noticed these days - there are more and more solutions being brought to the market, however every particular one requires deeper analysis. And what I always pay attention to - practical value and benefits for users. What makes sense - there are pretty young and bold solutions even on the industries with large key players. For example, my latest discovery is Sapien network that is entering the social networking industry with a truly advanced working product. I am also wondering to know whether you are having also any examples of the solutions that are young, but promising and with real value
Almost all projects promise something big during the registration period, but when the project is in progress they are all negligent and indifferent to the project, and cause disappointment to the user, so we find it hard to believe in new sophisticated projects because of the disappointment

I would laugh my balls off if Dogecoin became the defacto stable coin used for getting in and out of other coins. What a complete FU to the world that would be.

hahaha, same. His words will make DOGE more popular
I also saved some dogecoin, but what I see here, is McAfee really honest about his response? Or just advertising? We do not know what is happening behind the scenes. Such as not a setting as well, this is one alternative also to invest right? Maybe some underestimate dogecoin in cryptocurrency, but for another option I don't think it hurts
