I think an ETA of around a year was given.
12283  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mr Bitty Loves you Alll BittyBing is Delayed for 3 more weeks. on: April 14, 2014, 09:07:37 AM
I'm not accusing anyone of fraud or theft. I'm just stating it like it is without drawing any conclusions. I'm aware that he isn't feeling well, I'm wondering how he is doing and how I can get in touch with him.

I won't disclose any information that he's shared with me in a public forum. I have all the WIP files and e-mails on me. If you (or anybody else) knows how I can get in touch with him, I'll gladly PM you proof that I've done the illustrations.

You designed him those characters and he didn't pay you? Not sure I buy the whole his wife says he's ill thing. Sounds a bit suspicious. Has anyone invested, lent or borrowed him money for Bittybing?

i thought bittybing is the one who is giving a free love here so how is it happen?

Well sometimes that's how scammers work - give a little, gain trust, take a lot. And I'm not saying he was or is a scammer, but I was just wondering if anyone had leant him money, because that might explain his absence. Maybe he really is ill, but who knows.

that is sad if its true he seems jolly and nice
i hope he sort things out when he return
uhhmmm didnt he said that there is another person who is trying to impersonate him??

Yeah, think someone was trying to asking for loans or something.
12284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking to develop an innovative coin that encourages travel. on: April 14, 2014, 08:59:36 AM
I guess I like the idea behind it but it's just a pipe dream like all the other alts with a grandiose purpose behind them and it's not needed. Gift shops and any other places can just use Bitcoin. We don't need coins for every facet and niche in life.
12285  Economy / Speculation / Re: How high will it go? on: April 14, 2014, 08:55:25 AM
ok so pretty soon we should be coming to a stabilization point, wondering where the next run up will take us...

What makes you think we'll be coming to a stabilisation point soon?

Haha. Can you define the value of 'going to the moon'? How will we know when we are there?  Grin
12286  Economy / Speculation / Re: What caused this sudden ~10% increase in Bitcoin Price? on: April 14, 2014, 08:52:20 AM

Doubt it. People always try find a reason for 'why' from a recent piece of good news or story, but sometimes the price just rises due to people buying, although it is annoying people seem to panic sell on the back of any whiff of bad news so I understand why.
12287  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-04-11] Megaupload founder wants official cryptocurrency on: April 14, 2014, 08:35:36 AM
I am glad that he isn't involved more with Bitcoin. Read up on his history - He offered warez for download and sold the user data to a lawer then and many other fraudulent things.

And YouTube and Google offer pirated films and music. Saying Megaupload offered wares is akin to saying the postal service offers drugs and cp because people use it so send such things.
12288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What makes Bitcoin a revolutionary technology on: April 14, 2014, 08:26:23 AM
I'd say there are a few revolutionary ideas with it but the biggest is it being decentralised.
12289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OKCoin announced Bitcoin ATM vending machine .. and price goes bonkers. on: April 14, 2014, 08:23:43 AM
I'd hardly say the price went 'bonkers'. This news is probably unrelated but people always try find a story as the source or cause of the price rise.
12290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kim Dotcom Tweets: Bitcoin: The currency of the future? Everyone should use it. on: April 14, 2014, 08:21:22 AM
I am confused. A few days ago, Kim Dotcom was saying that he will create his own altcoin, and popularize it through his new file-sharing service Mega.  Now he is saying that he will stick to Bitcoin. What to believe now?

Did he actually say that though or were people just assuming he wanted to create his own? The article I read didn't say anything as such.
12291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Journalists are total buffoons on: April 14, 2014, 08:18:09 AM
Well most journalists are not experts in most things especially not Bitcoin so that's why they're often wrong after only quickly checking their "facts" over on wikipedia, but there are decent articles from journalists too, so to tar them all as one is quite unfair.

I only suggested outing the ones that are almost making things up. I am not sure where they get their fantasy from it certainly isn't Wikipedia.

I don't recall any bitcoin material about cracking codes and increasing complexity of 'encryption'.

They're getting it from somewhere because I often hear the "mining is the process that creates Bitcoin by solving a complex mathematical equations" line in the media.
12292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Apple Thread - I Admit Defeat. on: April 14, 2014, 08:13:02 AM
I am a salesperson for Apple and frankly it makes no sense that a company like Apple is not more bitcoin friendly. Our core values are supposed to be about challenging the status quo and celebrating ingenuity.

I'm sure that's what they like to say in their press releases and inductions, but everyone knows that this is not the case.

12294  Economy / Speculation / Re: What caused this sudden ~10% increase in Bitcoin Price? on: April 14, 2014, 08:04:15 AM
Probably people buying coins for 10% more than what they were a few hours ago  Cheesy. Supply and demand.
12295  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie help on: April 14, 2014, 07:59:29 AM
Get a less 'troll-like' name to be taken a little more seriously.

To boost your bitminter, get more equipment.
Don't even talk about using your cpu to mine. Pls for the sake of everyone.
Terribad english there, but you can buy machines that mine for you called ASIC's, or better graphics cards
Get out.

Are you trying to be purposely ironic with this post?  Cheesy
12296  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Information Overload on: April 14, 2014, 07:57:12 AM
Fuck off, newb. Just kidding  Grin. Apart from being nicer to newbs what would you suggest to make the forums better or more user friendly? What's confusing about alt coins?
12297  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] Signature Space For My Website - Paying via BTC or USD - Negotiable on: April 14, 2014, 07:47:02 AM

Yes i got a reply from him and he is legit.

12298  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Goats are out of the pen. Where do we get our milk from now? on: April 14, 2014, 07:42:31 AM
haha maybe after 10years. :p but if i become financially  successful i'll goto some secluded place and build a house of my dreams there and will live my life  happy after :p
Yeah, until you meet a woman and boast to her about all your self-made riches in an attempt to woo her and boom there goes your money and meekness  Grin.

Never boast about money. Don't look rich.
If you do so, you'll not attract gold-diggers.
You'll lose 90% of the choice among females but it worth it IMO.

He had some shady deals in the past and probably tried to remove evidence.
Although that might not be the case. He could come back again under a different alias.
I'm sure a member that old already has a couple of alt accounts he can use. Just an assumption though.

It depend of your attitude. Some people have the balls of expressing their opinions...

It's not necessarily about having the balls to speak your mind, but for business interests or to hype up your idea (or scam? Cheesy).

And yes, boasting about money at least on the first date/meeting isn't a good idea, but I know plenty of people who would mention it just because they think it might help woo them, but I'm sure in hindsight or at a later date they'll regret it.
12299  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: April 14, 2014, 07:36:26 AM
So I do understand it well right?
Even if I will join campaign 15th, and till 17th I will post >50post I will get paid for those two days on 17th?
Right?

Yes.

It's not guaranteed that you wil get paid on the 17th. It's usually a day or two after so make sure you're aware of that if you need the money by then.

So I do understand it well right?
Even if I will join campaign 15th, and till 17th I will post >50post I will get paid for those two days on 17th?
Right?

Yes.
Thanks for letting me know for sure.
I am asking about this because I need some cash asap and I will join perhaps tomorrow PD campaign.  Just wanted to make sure that I will earn something till 17th.

You must make at least 50 constructive posts in these 2 days, otherwise the posts will be carried over to the next month.

Actually its 4 days today is the 13th and renewal is on the 17th not the 15th

He said he'll join on the 15th (maybe that's when his current deal expires).
12300  Other / Off-topic / Re: Movie Recommendation Station on: April 14, 2014, 07:26:25 AM
I just watched Mr. Nobody. It was better than I expected.

It's sort of an under-appreciated movie most probably haven't heard of, but if you like offbeat types of movies that make you think, you might like it. It's on netflix streaming right now.

There was a discussion of this movie earlier in the thread.   A lot of people liked it (including myself)

A handful of people have mentioned it including myself. I need to watch it again but I really enjoyed it the first and only time I watched it years ago.

I was really disappointed with Gravity. Nice visuals, but I think the entire script may have fit onto 2 pages. They sort of forgot a couple of things good movies usually have... like a story and interesting characters.

Yeah, looked pretty but was pretty dull (like my ex girlfriend haha). I think the movie could've been better cast too. I'm sure a couple of unknowns would've given better performances.
