Sounds awesome! Get it on r/bitcoin, I think they are pretty generous there and redditors in general love causes.

Whether the above blog is the ideal choice I do not know, but just one good human relations story in the Bitcoin quiver could do wonders.

Legit site with a nice following. Actually, all I need is a go ahead from her, and I'm pretty sure we here can handle the rest.

Just wanted to see Dat Ass again.

Carry on...

I still see a robot, a camel, and a blowup doll.
12303  Other / Off-topic / Re: Looking to buy this breitling, can anyone tell if it's fake? on: November 20, 2012, 06:05:21 PM
I know a classic way to spot a fake Rolex was to look at the second hand. Real ones keep the second hand in constant smooth motion, while fakes ticked their way around. Not sure if that works here?

Sure it would. Ask a question of the lister to post a video of the watch working. If they don't comply, then have eBay shut them down.
12304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WordPress needs to set up another page. on: November 20, 2012, 05:40:03 PM
I'm going out onto a limb here. Please take a look at this page and the rest of Deb's site. http://deboralifecycle.wordpress.com/fundraising/

Here's what I'm thinking: Have her embed a Bitcoin donation onto the above page, guaranteeing her that she'll receive no less than $100 USD in donations for doing such within a 7 day period following the implementation. If the desired pool comes up short, I'll make up the difference. Have BitPay be the one who enables her to transfer BTC to fiat into her bank account. I will pay the <3% fee.

This will be a standalone endeavor, not affiliated with Bitcoin 100. It would be a great opportunity to show proof of concept in practice.

~Bruno K~

PS: I took the liberty and tweeted her via Bitcoin100.

PSS: Most everyone loves biking and my mom, Juanita, passed away at the age of 39 in '81 due to ovarian cancer.

PSSS: If the donations total over $100 USD after the end of the 7 day period, I'll contribute 10% the of total, thus adding to the pool.
12305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / WordPress needs to set up another page. on: November 20, 2012, 05:13:56 PM
They already have this page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/

http://en.support.wordpress.com/bitcoin/ is current just the announcement page, whereas http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/ shows how to embed the PayPal donation option.

Now, this is needed for the bloggers themselves to accept donations via Bitcoin.

Who's on it?

12306  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Find Trendon Shavers in person thread... [BTCST, BTS&T, pirateat40] on: November 20, 2012, 05:05:04 PM
Please refrain from the vigilantism.  The purpose of this thread is for individual familiar with Trendon Shavers to provide information as to his whereabouts and/or any assets that he may control it an effort to pursue prosecution and recovery through LEGAL means.  No one's going to "drop a dime" that fear of becoming collateral damage due to some internet wackjob's vendetta (whether real or imagined).

Right now the US SEC is investigating him ( and unfortunately, probably others) for securities fraud.

Large creditors may be pursuing other legal means.

So the only other option currently available is for the IRS to pursue him for tax fraud.

Thank you

Got it! The Capone Effect.

I can't guarantee a thing but would they be eligible in this cause? If yes then I'd give it a shot as I have a contact here who's involved with their fundraising at the Berlin branch.

Yes! http://www.foei.org/ would qualify. Have at them, and good luck.

Back in early 1940's, when everything in USSR was heavily rationed and appropriated for the war, my grandpa used to steal wire which the fences around people's houses were made out of. He then sold them the service of wiring up their houses for electricity, using their own stolen wire.

My dad and his friend were caught stealing a stove and sentence to a Belgium reformatory during his formidable youth. He was released in time to travel with his family aboard the U.S.S America to Ellis Island in the mid 50's. Years later, while working at Pyle National in Chicago, he was a machinist, the only person capable of producing gold plated hardest unknown material at the time for the US military spy planes. Many other parts left the factory hidden in his socks to be sold as scrap to feed his family (his handsome paycheck found its way to the local pubs). He finally got wise and quit selling to the scrap dealer for pennies on the dollar. He sold it for nickels on the dollar to the competition of which he had an insider as the purchasing agent, thus splitting the loot. As a kid, it was great for me, for I was upgraded from using a cane pole to a Abu Garcia 170.

Oil doesn't keep your car cool and functional?

Did you know cars and plate tectonics work differently?  There is not enough oil in the planet to lubricate plates like oil does in a car.   Roll Eyes

This is why mechanics don't double as seismologists.

Yet many seismologists double as mechanics. Odd!

Neighbors.   I'm trying to get photos but everyone close to them is afraid to give up info for fear the bitcointalk banditos will show up at their door.
If, they will show up at Trendon's door; and this would not be pretty.
I see no reason why a neighbor should be afraid; they have nothing to do with what happened.

I'm sure that someone would be smart enough after investing $1.27 for a dozen eggs that they're not get to hit the wrong target.

On closer inspection, these are loafers. In other words, I hand't read the op's explantion correctly, that it doesn't actually trade in real USD.

OP mentions he's looking for an anonymous exchange, well look no further.

It's something we need, and all it takes is someone willing to give it a go.

I've got his families home address. Should this be released?

Can I guess? Please! Please let me guess. I want to guess so badly. Thanks! Here's my guess (in bold--ask for Frances):

Wow. This rabbit hole goes far deeper than I think any of us would've previously thought. Nefario not only operates GLBSE, but a scrap metal company, education and library board, bridal store, property development firm, and nail salon!

...  Tongue

The scrapper is dead, and his name was Francis (not Frances). Francis Gus Anderson. You forgot the Jam Store at White Rock Cottage.

I don't have any proof, but it's possible his name is not McCarthy. I also have a feeling that he didn't come to the states and was denied entry. Frodo (pass user here) once mentioned WhiteRockCottage. Search this forum for that term. Look at the dates and date the .com was registered.

If you know Trendon Shavers (www.trendonshavers.com) and you know the make and model of the brand new BMW or the F550 truck he recently purchased on any other assets he has,  you might want to let the IRS know about it.  Any assets Trendon Shavors has or controls could only have been purchased with fraudulent income from his Bitcoin Securities Ponzi scheme.

http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f3949a.pdf
Print the form and mail to:

Internal Revenue Service
Fresno, CA 93888
If you do not wish to use Form 3949-A, you may send a letter to the address above. Please include as much information as possible, such as these important points:
Name and Address of person or business you are reporting
The individual’s social security number or the business’ employer identification number
A brief description of the alleged violation(s), including how you became aware or obtained information about  the violation(s)
The years involved
The estimated dollar amount of any unreported income
Your name, address and telephone number*
*Although you are not required to identity yourself, it is helpful to do so. Your identity will be kept confidential.

Info about BMW and F550 was gleaned from where?

Apophenia kicked in, for I see a Class M-3 Model B9 doing a dromedary while doing a CandyGirl, both Fido style. (bottom half of image, right of lower position symbol)
12320  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: scammer tag request on: November 20, 2012, 12:29:56 AM
I agree with Phinnaeus Gage.  I wouldn't give you the scammer tag, but perhaps what you should do is edit your signature just to say "Don't lend me money" or something along those lines.  Yes, you could edit that at any time, but as long as you're paying your loans back, even if just a little bit late, and making good faith efforts, I would say the scammer tag isn't appropriate.  To me the scammer tag implies some degree of intent to scam.

You just have a problem. You know you have a problem, and maybe you should talk to Gamblers Anonymous.  Maybe you have in the past, I'm not sure.  I wish you the best of luck!  We all have our demons, some are just more destructive in our lives than others.

I think I need a sarcastic tag.
