12341  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] Senior member account and Full member with +ve feedback on: March 01, 2015, 09:20:43 PM
PS :- Please do not bother asking me to sign a message from old address , as i stated this was bought by me for sig camp.
If you did not get a signed message when you purchased the account then there would be a possibility that the previous owner could come back and claim it was hacked. This could be mitigated if you were able to ask the previous owner for a signed message.
12342  Economy / Auctions / Re: Selling Hero account (with avatar) on: March 01, 2015, 09:18:21 PM
I removed my feedback on the account since Glucose agreed that the loan is considered "repaid"
12343  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How are altcoins collateral on: March 01, 2015, 04:23:24 PM
If someone believes the LTC/BTC exchange rate will increase then they would take that loan.

No, what im saying is that if you already have the amount of money you need in altcoins what would be the point of asking for a loan
If they sell the collateral they are offering then they will have to pay exchange fees, and would miss out on any additional price appreciation between the time they take out the loan and the time they get the money to repay the loan.

A lot of loans secured by alt coins are likely done for altcoin trading so the loans essentially are allowing for additional leverage

But when you pay the loan back you have to pay it with interests bigger than the fees you would pay for exchanging the altcoins
The interest will probably be more then the exchange fees however the interest would not be more then what the borrower *hopes* the exchange rate will have increased since they got the loan.

You have zero trade history, you should not be providing escrow services.
12346  Economy / Auctions / Re: Cheap Senior Member 370 activity on: March 01, 2015, 03:49:04 PM
Can you prove ownership with a signed message from an address associated with the account?

I can't cause I bought it in Dec-Jan. I have controlled it since then w/ no issues, loans, scams, etc. But I can't sign a message with an address since I have not posted one when I bought it. Any sense?
Did you get a signed message when you bought the account?

12351  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Hero Account on: March 01, 2015, 03:00:18 AM
If you cannot sign a message then there is a good chance that the account is hacked.

I take offence at that, especially the jump of logic.

A "beware" is relevant, given the issues surrounding scamming, of which I have been the victim of myself.

But the argument used is not even valid. It's utterly absurd.

I'd also like to know when you last beat your wife?

I can't see a way to solve the issue without excessive time, and a hacked account had not even occurred to me. I thought the issue would be payment, escrow, and all that sort of thing.

I'm not a bitcoin account trader, and I was not really expecting a sale anyway, which is why I put the 0.25 reserve on it. I did not intend to commit to a sale at 0.01!

I can see the issue I have, so I'll just let things be.

* Edit .. I see you are a dealer in accounts, and adopt the "used car salesman approach" there.

Comical.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=704370.0

If you are not willing/able to sign a message then there is nothing that would stop you from later claiming the account was hacked in the future, and upon such claim there is nothing that a buyer could show to give evidence that such account is not hacked. This of course is assuming that the account is in fact not hacked, if it is hacked then the same problem would occur except instead of it being from you, the claim of the account being hacked would be from the 'real' owner of the account.

edit: can you at the very least sign a message from 1GD6to1SHojfpRBqwZPUPWNGE6UPrnjrvs which you posted here?
12352  Other / Meta / Re: Username Change on: March 01, 2015, 02:23:56 AM
Hey, I was wondering if it is possible to have a username changed. I've messaged Theymos twice regarding the matter. Has anyone else been able to change theirs?

thanks  Smiley

I think it is only possible for staff and if you have donator status.
you actually need to have vip status not donator.

Theymos will chance usernames in only certain circumstances idr what exactly the criteria is though.

Oh wow, even vip. I think nobody is going to donate 50 btc only to get his name changed.
Btw, do these status come with more benefits?
both donator and VIP get access to the donator forum, get s donator/VIP tag, have 5 coins under your name.

VIP also can create a custom title

@marcotheminer, I would like to ask you :

I've checked my stats and I've seen : (first) 37 excluded posts and after 93. Is it normal? Thanks for the attention.

Lol you post 900 times and worried about 93 being excluded? The top 3 posters in this campaign averaged 885 posts this month...hope you guys cap this.
I posted almost 800 posts last month and he didn't count any of mine lol Grin (granted I am not in his campaign but you still shouldn't complain)

Needless to say it is not a good idea to lend to this person.

Hehe good luck to him! And to me  Cheesy
Wich site is that? Gamblingloan?

12357  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: February 28, 2015, 09:08:14 PM
Counting up the posts now.

Is that Invester- Based gambling section post are not counted also?

Since it is the sister-board to games & rounds I will not be counting it probably.
The games and rounds section is designed for people to make insubstantial posts in order to claim (usually) small amounts of Bitcoin. The pomzi section is a section to discuss ponzis just like the gambling section except for ponzis instead of actual casinos.

If you cannot sign a message then there is a good chance that the account is hacked.
not really , if you can hack someone's account you probably have their online wallet account aswell :l
generally speaking people take better care of their money then their bitcountalk accounts. Also they will likely access their bitcountalk accounts more often then their money giving more attack vectors to hack a Bitcointalk account then to steal private keys.
