Me too. I have subscribed to a board but I rarely receive notifications. I get notified for my own threads but not the board. I don't know the reason though.

12367  Other / Meta / Re: Request to restrict newbies to post in Marketplace on: March 19, 2015, 02:45:26 PM
I don't think it is fair. There are a lot of newbies or junior members who are honest and reliable. They want to do business or offer somethings to other members of our community, if we ban them there, it will affect their opinions to bitcoin.

I am not asking to ban them  Undecided

I am saying that make them atleast achieve a rank like Member to post in that section. I don't think 90% of newbies are genuine there and if I count, the percent is 50 or less.
12368  Other / Meta / Re: Request to restrict newbies to post in Marketplace on: March 19, 2015, 02:42:15 PM
I think that people need to learn how to take the proper precautions when trading with Bitcoin, both on the forum and elsewhere.

Sure a lot of newbies will attempt to scam however this is not always the case. My first post was creating a sales thread. I probably shouldn't say this (it might give people the impression that it is safe to send first to newbies) but around the same day I created this account someone was willing to send first to me for an account - he offered to send 1/2 first then I send the account then he sends the second half, I told him that he can send the entire amount first or we can use escrow, he sent first and I followed through.

If people know how to protect themselves from getting scammed then it doesn't matter what level account is creating threads in the marketplace.

I too was a newbie when I sold my first product in the Digital Goods section. The newbie trusted me for $90 and he sent first. He is still dealing with me today. But still I believe that there should be some restriction in that section to reduce scams. That section looks like every newbie creates a new account and sells fraudulent gift cards the moment his earlier account gets a negative feedback.
12369  Other / Meta / Re: Request to restrict newbies to post in Marketplace on: March 19, 2015, 02:39:08 PM
There are many newbies who create multiple accounts to scam members who are unaware of the use of escrow and so I would request if there could be some kind of restriction in that section for newbies and junior members, it would reduce the scams. It's just a request.

The scam or scam attempt are not moderated by the staff (at the moment). There are a lot of users that give a negative trusts to all the suspicious users (for prevent any type of scam).

I aint talking about Moderation. I am saying that a certain badge like Members  or Full Members should be allowed to post in the Marketplace. Many forums have this limit and so that user needs to be active here and then be allowed to post in the Marketplace section.

I have 0.0469367 worth BTC in my account. Are you interested in buying the same via Payza. Also, I'll be charged 2.5% + $0.25 fee so could you pay the fee of about $0.5? If interested, let me know.

12372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn your bitcoins ? on: March 18, 2015, 08:36:23 PM
I mainly earn only through Signature campaigns and also by selling my gift cards or mobile recharge coupons for bitcoins. Faucets are used sometimes but now I have stopped as I barely make 20 cents weekly.
12373  Economy / Services / Re: {NEED} Help with paypal limited account on: March 18, 2015, 08:25:05 PM
The account is gone.

Next time practice better stealth techniques.  If the account has no CC or Bank attached its worthless anyways.

Is there no way to remove the limitation from the PayPal account? I have heard some people have managed to recover the funds from their limited PayPal account.

Selling gift cards, signature campaigns and writing online.
12375  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoins are so expensive on Ebay? on: March 18, 2015, 08:09:37 PM
I guess it attracts mindless dabblers who can't be arsed to do any proper research. Once you get into KYC/AML stuff with the usual channels they'd probably switch off.

Ebay is an endless source of mystery. I've sold used items for 20% more than you'd pay for brand new after 10 seconds of googling. Foreign currency often goes for 20% more than you'd pay in the shittiest airport booth.

Some folks just don't expend the extra calories to investigate further.

I would never pay more than the market price and people who are really doing so are just so foolish (sorry if it offends anyone). I mean that if you can buy something for the same price, why pay higher? PayPal allows one to withdraw money via bank so buying a product for 20% more makes no sense. May be they trust Ebay and its products.
12376  Other / Off-topic / Re: Scientific proof that God exists? on: March 18, 2015, 08:05:50 PM
I believe that God does exist and don't need any proof for that. However, sometimes when crime keeps increasing, I ask God why isn't he helping the needy and the people who are suffering.

A suggestion if you're selling a legit gift card. You can try posting here: avforums.com. There are buyers mainly from UK and so it will be easier to sell your gift card.  Smiley
12378  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I want to buy bitcoins using paypal balance on: March 18, 2015, 07:55:15 PM
Mostly nobody trusts newbies with regards to PayPal transaction even if Escrow is used. The reason being a chargeback. They will tell you to wait for 180 days and then send the bitcoins and I don't think you will prefer that.
12379  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoins are so expensive on Ebay? on: March 18, 2015, 07:52:57 PM
It may be because of the Ebay fees as mostly everything on Ebay is quoted above the market price. Gift cards and other products as well because of the high fee of Ebay. They charge about 10% depending on the product you are selling.

That's definitely a factor, but not the main one. Bitcoins are usually sold there at about 60% to 100% more than market price.

60% more? Why would people buy it at such a high rate when bitcoins have no definite value? I thought that it may just be a 10-20% increase due to the fee. Better to use an exchange website which charges max 25% more.
12380  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Selling Bitcoin on Ebay with Paypal Without any Chargeback Risk on: March 18, 2015, 07:49:36 PM
NEVER use PayPal as a payment option on Ebay especially when you are dealing with digital goods that does not have any receipt attached. People sell only physical goods via PayPal as they have got a proof that their transaction is complete and the chargeback can be avoided.
