12521  Economy / Gambling / Re: What's your favorite gambling website and why?? on: November 16, 2015, 06:12:15 PM
I like Primedice for the great community it has in the PD chat: singpays, DenseCrab, saraa, showrov1993, hui, Randall ... and may other interesting folks.
I like it also for the tips in the chat and for giveaways which the rainbot does, and for HungerGames though I'm not in the list to be able to participate in HG.
12522  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: November 16, 2015, 05:47:36 PM
I seriously doubt that Bitcoin will replace Dollar, espacially that this will happen soon, but I think that pretty soon Bitcoin will be accepted as any hard currency everywhere in the world.
12523  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining farm in Romania on: November 16, 2015, 05:41:29 PM
Hi guys. We did this interview with a mining facility in Romania. Now, we had some technical difficulties with the sound, and yea...I know it s not our best work. I just wanted to show you this cooling system they had, I thought that in spite of the video not looking at its best it s still something that might get you interested.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZHM8-3RxF4

Thanks for posting this! I can't understand what they are saying beacause I think its in Romanian (or whatever the language is called) but the last 7 minutes is interesting to watch.

Thats great that you guys do things like this in Romania! Good luck!
12524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your favorite Game? on: November 16, 2015, 09:19:18 AM
I was wondering what is the percentage of gamblers for casino and other gambling games.
I for myself love to play Poker, so it is my favorite game to gamble with money.

And you? What's yours?

Dice games are my favorite among all gambling games. I like it for it's simplicity. Since the result of any game depends on luck, why don't play the simpliest one? )
12525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you play loteries ,did you won something on: November 15, 2015, 10:40:49 AM
I used to gambling at loteries i may say i didnt risked a lot money usually i spended 2 euros up to 5 euros weekly, meaning 20 euros montly, but well i had won some prizes but in the end i may say for personal i lost much more money then earned at this.Soo why people keep buying?Word is facing financial problems but people keep buying these.. did you figured that already? There is some lotery of bitcoin online, where we can buy a ticket and be able to get the prizes ,i mean one trusted not a scam.

The worse the economical situation gets the more lotteries people are buying, that's a fact, that's how life is. If you can't rely on something which is rational you start believing in miracles.
12526  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I believe in Bitcoin ? on: November 15, 2015, 10:29:17 AM
Should I believe in Bitcoin ?
I have 10k $ and maybe going to buy  , but I doubt the further development of Bitcoin and I'm afraid to lose money! Can you convince me or dissuaded from buying?

Even though I'm positive that Bitcoin will be around $500 by summer 2016, no way I'm going to start convincing you to spend $10k you have on buying Bitcoins now.

Investing all money you have is always a risky thing and investing in Bitcoin is not an exception.
12527  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: where can i buy a Bitcoin miner on: November 15, 2015, 10:18:06 AM

Again don't cost much ($25 bucks each and $6 shipping ..er up to 3 of them at the $6 bucks shipping FYI)

they are 8gh usb sticks by Sidehack a project here on bitcoin forum. See link below the only catch is the ROI is a smile Smiley (ie toy mode you won't make back your investment in btc..then again so cheap it don't matter...)

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1126705.0

anyway only 'safe' toy that won't ROI that I know about. All the other high end stuff likely won't ROI either esp with electric..so I'd get this to feed a 'home miner' addiction myself Smiley

This is a great solution! I think this is the best Christmas present fo Bitcoin motivated kids.

And it looks very nice too (IMO at least).
12528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Choose the most used type of wallet on: November 15, 2015, 10:11:07 AM
I use Web wallets. I know many people think that it is insane to use them, but I think since you can't be 100% safe using any wallet, why not use a convenient one then.

Coinkite is my favorite. If I'm making a terrible mistake please tell me.
12529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice game strategy? on: November 14, 2015, 05:03:36 PM
Dice game should be played only for fun but not for making any money out of it.
i don't think so, gambling function is not only to have fun, a lot of people who use dice to earn money faster

Depends, it is also to have fun, earn money is a colateral effect.

I think you can have fun but don't think you can earn any money out of it

Gambling just for fun, but many people here a get profit in gambling
So, i dont think so just have fun, but can earn from it and you know that.
I think everyone gamble for profit,
whether he ever felt happy when he lost the gamble? Nope

Yes mostly every one gamble for profits but at the end every one will lose in gambling so no strategy will work in gambling except losing money.

Yes that is true. Mostly every one say they are gambling for fun but they will be aiming to make some profits from gambling. But every one should know when there is house edge then surely no one knows when this house edge will come and take away all your money. So no strategy will work gambling particularly in dice games.

Very well said. There were so much topics and posts on the subject and I've read almost all of them and of course the idea was expressed many times, but I never saw it was put like this. I like it, thank you.
12530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice game strategy? on: November 13, 2015, 08:36:01 PM
No strategy will actually work in the long run.  All betting strategies have the same problem, they might improve your odds a bit but they still don't get you to a positive expected value.

Exactly. So go out there and have fun by clicking that max bet button 2-3 times and cashout.

Haha! Sometimes this strategy works for me actually. It happens very rare but it does. But do it with the money you can afford to lose. Then its a real fun if such win happens and not a bid deal when you lose it.
12531  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: November 13, 2015, 08:30:14 PM
If you had to convert all your wealth to either Bitcoin or gold and keep it there for 10 years, which would you choose? Keep in mind the fact that Bitcoin has only been around for 5 years, and could be fundamentally different in any number of ways in 10 years.

I believe that in 10 years the price of Bitcoin will rise at least tenfold. No one would definitely say that about gold. Ok, we can have an inflation and the price of gold in USD might rise tenfold then, but I'm talking about the real value. So it's better to put it like this:

In 10 years from now you can buy with one Bitcoin ten times more of gold than you can buy now.

just my opinion ofc. )

Sure... we all should dream. Longer term, maybe 3 years bitcoin will outcompete any currency for sure.

I suspect you might be saying this with sarcasm, but this doesn't mean your words are not true. I'm not saying Bitcoin will outcompete any currency but it will be on the level of the best.
12532  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you wish you could buy with btc ? on: November 13, 2015, 08:20:20 PM
I think we already can buy anything with Bitcoin. What I mean is we can't buy anything anywhere with USD right? If you are in Europe for example and you have USD you should find an exchange first. Same thing with Bitcoin: find a way to exchange them and thats all.
12533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is there to get into now that mining is for the rich? on: November 13, 2015, 08:06:09 PM
Signature campaigns are paying okish, you can make around 15-30 USD a week at hero tank.

Other than that, I don't think there are a lot of ways currently.

I agree. OP, you are a full member so you can join a good Signature campaign and make $12-$15 in Bitcoin per week without any miner and without high electricity bills. But don't spam or you might be banned.
12534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin movies on: November 13, 2015, 02:47:09 PM

12535  Economy / Economics / Re: What if US Dollar Crashes? on: November 13, 2015, 02:34:42 PM
I was thinking about this, what if the US Dollar crashes like speculated by many renowned economists around the world?
What will be it's affects on the beloved currency, BTC?

I don't think US Dollar might crash. Most of those "renowned economists around the world" are just haters IMO.

But I do think that Bitcoin is a better option in general.
12536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe we need more ways of advertising Bitcoin currency? on: November 13, 2015, 02:30:42 PM
Yes, certainly. Bitcoin is spreading, but not at a very fast pace. It is used more and more in online payments and shopping and I feel as if we need to encourage this to enable bitcoin to grow further.

I agree. Although many people know about Bitcoin by now, IMO still most of them don't.

But it's not so easy to find a new ways of advertisement. Worth a try though.
12537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: November 13, 2015, 02:27:06 PM
Any sites you recommend?
Strategy?

Can't recommend you any sites since you want to earn with gambling and I'm positive that that's impossible.

You can only play for fun if you want to, but you should never try to earn with gambling.
12538  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: My Solo Mining Experiment, two years. starting with 3 S3s and 1 U3. on: November 13, 2015, 02:22:45 PM
Plus the money spent on power keeps my thermostat down : ) the heat that comes off these in my highly insulated flat is enough to keep me warm and turn the thermostat down Cheesy

I told my uncle about this and hes stopped playing the national lottery and just bought himself a cheap S1 to throw in the solo pool, deciding its better value than the lottery! I explained to him how it all works and he was quite impressed haha. He has much less hashrate than me, but anything can happen! Cheesy As my uncle is a set-it and forget it person his has the same solo pool configuration and failover. I was interested in trying an s5 but the problem is the noise unless I could put quieter fans on it!

Jacob

That's a really nice decicion! I was suggesting something like this some time ago but I thought nobody had the chance to do it.

I wish you and your uncle the best of luck!

Please update the thread, it's very interesting!
12539  Economy / Economics / Re: sell and buy-help on: November 13, 2015, 02:16:55 PM
I would use kraken. I've had good experience with them and as amph mentioned you don't have to go through the id hassle for low amounts of cash.

Although, I would rather advice you to hold on to the coins..

Exactly this! 1/8 or 0.125 of Bitcoin is only $42 now. This is not an amount you can't live without. I know in some countries that's a month's living expenses, but still I'd suggest you to find the money somewhere else and hold your coins.
12540  Other / Off-topic / Re: What was BTC price? on: November 13, 2015, 02:00:21 PM
Hello, people! Grin

Do you remember price of Bitcoin when you heard about BTC at first in your life?

When I heard about BTC at first in my life the price was around $50 or so. The bad thing is I didn't believe it was worth something at all  Cry
