Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

just buy with what you can afford. the best is to just use 50% of your investment balance, and the rest for when the price is going down. bitcoin has a bright future, if you believe in its potential, then you will realize that the current price is a joke compared to the long term price.

isn't the last price increase enough to convince you, that bitcoin was not died, and never will be(tough statement here i know, but i want to believe about its immortality)?

the block limit will be resolved in some way, either with a bip that it is not xt or with side chain

Bitcoin is definately not dead, but it's a long way from stable though.

If you need to ask for investment advice in a forum like this, my advice would be to not spend a penny until you've done your own research and know why you are, or are not investing your money. Never take advice from a forum.

Edit: corrected typo.

If you are afraid to lose your money, don't invest it in bitcoin.

If you cam afford to lose some of the money, or think it can increase even further, by all means invest a part of m your money in bitcoin.

Everyone, including you should invest in Bitcoin. If you invest enough, you'll actually earn some Wink

If you're just starting out, don't be 100% in fiat or 100% in BTC. Always have some backup either way.

If you don't buy now just wait until December. Seems that everything is pointing towards a drastic drop in price and it being the end of the year will cause people to dump for fiat. It's hard for grandma to give the grandchildren btc for an xmas present under the tree in a Christmas card.

No one should convince you or speak you out of it. This should be your decision, 100% yours. I know that Bitcoin is not perfect but potential is huge and there is a lot of room for improvement and development.

You should invest an amount that you have on the side and that you won't die if you lose. Don't invest if you will need this money back short-term. Bitcoin is a long-term investment. At least until the year of 2020 in my opinion.

Good luck!

Instead of beleive on bitcoin, beleive on me and give me all your money! Tongue

Nah is just a joke, nobody should try to convince you about it, you should do a good research about it if you want to invest, but after you research about how is going with bitcoin im pretty sure that you will start to believe on bitcoin.

My best advice, do a good research about it, and come back later to this thread to tell us what are you going to do Wink

Well there is a santa claus after all and he gives bitcoins to the good children.
Wonder what he gives to the bad ones?

What I mean was grandma and pa usually put dollars in an envelope, since that is the traditional way they are use to doing things. Most of the elderly have never heard of what bitcoin is let alone how to send to little timmy's wallet.

There's no such thing as a risk-free investment. The risk of losing money in bitcoin is extremely high. You could make a decent amount of money, but you're just as likely to lose a decent amount of money. If you're worried about loss of capital, you're far better served investing in a company that generates actual profits, not gambling on an asset like a currency. Be careful.

Just buy 1 BTC to start off with and go from there once you are more comfortable with it. You have $10k so $350 shouldn't be that big of an emotional stress if you lose it. Once you have gone through the process of buying some, you will understand it better and want to learn more about bitcoin.

Bitcoin believers are sure it will definitely see a huge price increase in the future. If you aren't a believer you must convince yourself by looking at how much better Bitcoin is than the current financial services offered by banks and others. You'll realize that the future of Bitcoin is gold plated Smiley
