1262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Legalized Gambling where you live..where does it stand? on: October 04, 2021, 03:03:53 PM
In Nigeria I don't think the government has turned her eyes to gambling yet. I think there is just regulation by some body or individual body though recognised in the country but I don't know yet if government has made public statement about gambling like it has made with twitter or cryptocurrency. The gambling outfit in Nigeria is soccer with series of companies running on it like bet9ja, betking , etc. As to legalizing for now I don't know how that has gone, there are warning for under 18 years not to indulge in gambling however.

The controlling bodies for the gambling outfits in Nigeria also remit money to the federal government of Nigeria. The government knows about those gambling sites and can not say it does not. There is regulation for them. Any company that is controlled by a body is regulated. Early this year or so there was a repeated radio broadcast addressing gambling organisations in the country and it was signed by someone in government. So we can see that gambling is legalized and regulated in Nigeria.
1263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blockchain and Gambling on: October 04, 2021, 02:15:11 PM
Of course, if you use cryptocurrency assets in gambling to prove any action becomes much easier, but as Beparanf said, not all casinos use blockchain directly in games because of the high cost of transactions and considerable time to confirm cryptocurrencies that negatively affects the gaming process. Therefore, there remains a very large area where even blockchain will not help to trace the player's actions and therefore protect his interests. It is very strange why this point was not discussed in the article.

Some of the casinos may not want to use the blockchain not because that it is expensive or slow to confirm transactions with it but because of the sharp practices they do in cheating players and lying that they have paid them while they have not. They know that every payment will be captured if they use the blockchain and can not lie about it. But without the blockchain they can manipulate the process. Casinos that are transparent will like the idea of using blockchain but those that are not will kick against it.

Your account was opened on Oct 2 and you created 3 threads on the same day. That looks like breaking a law in this forum, even though I do not know the particular law. You have to avoid doing that in the future before you get called a spammer or anything like that very soon. Another thing you have to avoid is for you to only post on topics or comments you are familiar with. Do not post on topics or respond to an issue if you are not going to be constructive on it.

Give the Barcelona team now to other coaches, they can not help Barcelona to win any title. That club has serious financial health and conflict between players and the board is not small.

This is correct because Barcelona's problem is beyond its debt profile and salaries for players. It's about the dress room conflicts among players and the clique they've formed. Most experienced coaches would have sold off those old and stubborn players immediately Messi left the club. But that is not so as the coach of the side Ronald Koeman is still wasting time on doing what should be the right thing. I wish he gets thrown out of his job.
1267  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Joe Biden devolved on: October 04, 2021, 08:41:41 AM

Joe Biden makes the American presidency very weak and boring. It is almost like nothing exciting is happening around the seat of government there any more. Pelosi was on Donald Trump's neck almost all through his stay as president until he lost the second term bid and now she can not talk and condemn Biden's lack of direction. Pelosi did not hide her hatred for Trump. It is a pity the way she acts now around Biden.
1268  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Library ? Or Internet ? on: October 03, 2021, 07:40:13 PM

I go for the Internet above the library. With the Internet you can quickly browse into relevant sites through the search engine when a site you are browsing does not have what you are looking for. But with library once a book does not have what you want you will find it difficult locating it on another textbook. Another is that the Internet brings excitement with a click while library makes one think they are confined to a hospital or some unexciting events.

@HCP where are u @@

You did not entice him enough to make him abandon the real life issue he was facing. You could have told him what price you are willing to pay him to encourage the coding. To ask for another person's time should also mean you pay for their services.
1270  Economy / Economics / Re: When you sell is no longer "yours" on: October 03, 2021, 04:05:26 PM
When I sell I do it practically closing my eyes. As my investment plan is to own everything in bitcoin and crypto and that every time I need to pay my bills I sell only what I need, my bank account is again empty.

Sometimes you sell and price begins to fall and you feel happy for that. You feel lucky selling off when you notice that the price crashed as soon as you sold off but you will feel bad after selling and price begins to go up. Taking care of our bills is one of the reasons that make alot of people sell. You can not have bitcoin and be broke at the same time without selling some to take care of your bills and yourself.
1271  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do a country start all over - Happy-ish Independence. on: October 03, 2021, 03:47:22 PM
north? you mean Islam?

Please enlighten us more on the configuration of the potential break up...

insh'allah Smiley.

I do not know if you are a Nigerian or not but I will try to explain it to you the little way I can and I hope you will understand it. The northern part of Nigeria has held power for a longer period than the other parts of the country. The north is made up of the Hausas while the west is Yoruba and the east is Igbo. There is alot of tribalism and ethnic styled governance with the north on political appointments, infrastructure, road construction etc. This tribalism is worst under the present government headed by President Mohammadu Buhari. This has caused the other parts of the country that is not the north to cry out that they are marginalized. They want to break out of Nigeria so they can have their own separate nations and be on their own.
1272  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do a country start all over - Happy-ish Independence. on: October 02, 2021, 07:36:39 AM
It ain't gonna work in Nigeria. The poor, rather unintelligent people, want somebody to rule over them. All the shrewd business people, great and small, want to be the rulers. The wealthy shrewd ones will keep on ruling.

Cool

People are not poor because they are unintelligent as well as rich because they are intelligent. I have come across rich but stupid fellows too just the same way I have come across poor but intelligent fellows. Yes I know it will not be possible for Nigeria to start over again, because the north that holds power in Nigeria will not allow the other parts break up from Nigeria no matter how desperate they want it. There is IPOB, there is Oduduwa trying to leave and go form their own nations but Nigeria does not want them to.
1273  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some cryptocurrency scam to avoid. on: October 01, 2021, 09:07:47 PM
You missed to add one of the most dangerous scams where YouTube channels and VerifiedTwitter accouts offering 2× return on a fixed deposit amount. And many users losing their funds in this trap.

Recently this type of scam happened and I made a thread about that incident.
Check here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5361408.0

The most popular among those using the verified twitter accounts scamming people is the one that Elon Musk's account is regularly used. It is confusing to me how they always hack into his account to make those tweets. Because alot of people know how rich Elon Musk is they fall easily to those scams thinking it is from Elon promising to double their cryptocurrency sent to a particular wallet address. People should avoid those type of tweets.
1274  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Regarding the topic of hacking crypto scammers on: October 01, 2021, 05:14:39 PM
The speed with which scammers can create sites is much faster than the possibility of stopping them even officially by governments.

Scammers get away because most times officials of the government refuse to act, especially when they have been bribed to look the other way. It is not that government can not apprehend them. I will support anything that can make scammers feel the pains they give out to their victims, including attacking their servers and sending malware to them. If hackers are hacked or scammers are scammed, there is nothing illegal or bad about that.
1275  Economy / Gambling / Re: LuckyDiamond.io 🎲 Big faucet 🎲 Diamond rains 🎲 Hourly contests on: October 01, 2021, 04:38:15 PM

Did you make provision for those who will only be on your site to claim from the faucets without playing any game? Number two question, is there a withdrawal level for claims?

All deposit and withdrawals are instant! But anti-fraud system can mark transaction as suspicious and send to double check. But if you have 1 account and not violating rules all will be OK

Most times this is the excuse companies use in cheating those who play on their sites by refusing them payment for games won and claiming that the players cheated and broke the site rules and regulations.
1276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: September 30, 2021, 08:20:05 PM
Oh! Finally,  Lionel Messi scores his first goal for PSG and not just ahaunst any team but the Champions of England and a much needed goal at that from the way City is playing. This is going to be a very painful lose for the citizens. To have lost 2 goals to nothing against PSG even though, they were the dominant team in this game. Its a lot of hard luck for Manchester City though, especially with the double chance they had to an equaliser in the first half. Where Raheem Stirling and B. Silva had there shot at the goal but was off target and landed on the bar. The final whistle is yet to be blown but, rhe game seems over already.  All they could hope for now is the returning leg and hope they win though.

I knew Lionel Messi's time will come and he will start scoring for his new club. That time came against Manchester City. The most painful part for me is that his first goal came against his former and coach, Pep Guardiola. But that is football for you and Messi played like a professional not minding he was playing against his former boss.
1277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Entain to Get Gambling License in the Netherlands on: September 30, 2021, 07:59:22 PM

While Spain bans sports men and women from promoting gambling, the Netherlands is encouraging it. Here is the news source https://www.sportspromedia.com/news/la-liga-betting-shirt-sponsors-2020-21-season. And the article was even used as a topic here on this forum. This shows how we all differ in our thinking. What we think is good may turn out to be bad in the eyes of others.

1278  Other / Meta / Re: [LOG] sMerit HODLers who sent merits for the first time on: September 30, 2021, 06:46:28 PM
Since another 10 months have passed, I decided to actualize all the logs and chart on the first page of this thread.

Maybe your 10 months absence from updating this post is a big gap and you can reduce it by making it every 3 months now that there is much activities in the forum. That is just my humble suggestion and i hope you understand.
1279  Other / Meta / Re: Wall of fame / shame. Shit posts so bad that they are actually funny on: September 30, 2021, 06:17:44 PM
Bitcoin's real name is satoshi nakamoto. But it is called Bitcoin because there was proof of work money and it is recorded on paper it was one coin of gold. That's why its called Bitcoin

 Shocked Shocked Shocked

That post is very funny even though it is unbelievable someone posted that load of nonsense. I checked haasanjui posts and found out that he is not a native English speaker and that can be why his posts come out that way. May be he uses google to translate the few posts he writes. His concentration is on bounties.
1280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China says all crypto transaction are illegal on: September 30, 2021, 05:38:14 PM
Honestly, I am tired of this fud of China. We all knew that they are simply manipulating the market by putting up a serious act to ban everything about crypto, then when yhe market plunge to death, then they will buy massive coins and started to renounced something of support to crypto. Its like they wanted so badly to buy at very cheap and slowly pump it and sell again. Damn China, worse pump and dump on crypto.

This allegations are possible as I have suspected that is what China is up to. If not why is the country always hitting bitcoin every now and then. I hope it will loose with this approach of trying to manipulate the market. I do not know why is China not copying other countries supporting bitcoin instead of trying to destroy it.
